  • Wait, you know hard yam abi ? Hard yam you know it ? Remember we cook hard yam in water yet it will never get soft ? Remember how we do struggle to cut it with fork while eating ?
You remember or not ? So now explain to me the science or technology behind adding to yam while frying ? 😭😭😭😭
Please just stop 🛑 Stop wasting the oil abi water. Nobi everything we see we go copy. I am the ambassador to fried yam. Growing up when my parents want to pet me, they will say oya goan fry yam. That’s how much I love fried yam.
If you want to kidnap me, just give me fried yam. I will follow you I swear. I have been frying yam since how many years now yet I have never added water to it. I never knew they do sef till recently and it got me asking wasup ?
I have posted some fried yam recipes here too. I don’t understand honestly. If you want to boil yam boil it now . Some even boil the yam first before frying lol.
The first clip in this video will show you how the fried yam break easily with just my finger tip oo. I didn’t add water.
If you like add water from now till eternity. Yam wey go hard go hard. All still boils down to 10 major tips I have shared in this video.
Some of you copied this from street woman. Not all street yam fryers do this so how come ?

Lol you're new to the part or what? Adding water when frying yam is to make it more crispy. And yes, I still reuse the oil again and again. It's literally divine. It's not to soften any yam jare. It's for maximum enjoyment which is getting crispy fried yam.

The water has effect, especially when the yam size is big..... it's because you slice the yam to small portion that can easily cook, that's why you think it doesn't have effect... i come in peace

No .. water doesn’t serve that purpose but the yam origin itself.

My eyes were working perfect or I’m I seeing wrongly. Anyways I fried yam that same day but left my in water for a while cuz I wasn’t ready to fry then so I sieved them out and it came out nice too I enjoyed your tip but if you can do well to cut away the time you were carrying the bowl up is like you were consciously adding water that how it looked.
