However, as soon as I turn the power switch off and back on both wheels are free turning and the vacuum will work without error. What would be the cause for this?
Hi, I have a Deebot T8 Aivi, and similar to OhioBenz comment above, I am getting an intermittent drive wheel error. When it does this, it rotates counter-clockwise, so you would think the problem is with the left wheel. When I turn it over and inspect it, there is nothing mechanically binding either wheel. I can turn both wheels freely by hand, although the left wheel is noticeably easier to turn than the right wheel. The left wheel is not free spinning, but sort of has resistance like you feel when winding up a top. It will continue to turn on its own slightly after getting it started. The right wheel will turn freely, but definitely requires more force, and it does not continue to turn on its own. I was surprised, as I was expecting the left wheel to be the one that was stuck or binding. I then began to think that maybe the motor for the left wheel was bad, and this was the reason for the less resistance on that wheel. Then I found this video and read OhioBenz comment. When I placed the Deebot back on the charger for a while, then took it off and inspected the wheels again, both wheels then had the same resistance, and the robot operated just fine! Do you know what could be the cause of this, and how I can resolve this issue permanently?
I have the exact problem, I even replaced the wheel motor, it will work for 40 minutes and then the wheel will get hard to spin, swithcing on and off will let it work again. This means it's not the wheel motor assembly but something else. Could it be the board? Also my debot will go offline for no reason. I have two and I know one is faulty acting weird.
@@ddxxbb1hey, just got the same kinda problem. I just waited 2 weeks for a new motor to arrive as I saw my last motor have a burn mark on it. When replacing the motor tonight, it still didn't spin freely. I was using a 9v battery to pulse the motor and it was working. As soon as I closed the gear plastic lid, the motor cannot turn anymore. It's getting jammed by the plastic. Will try cutting the plastic mould to allow more room for the motor worm gear to spin freely. Look into this and let me know if you get the same issue

Hi, let's see it someone can help me. I need to disassemble the T8 empty base station due to I have purchased recently and it is impossible for me to take back to my country in the airline as a box. So in order to insert the base station into the luggage I would need to disassemble the tower from the base, unscrewing about 4 screws. Do you know if by doing that, I can break any cable or electronic mainboard that then makes the station useless when I put it back together?
Hi, thanks for explaining the cases. I had the exact issue where my deebot is turning rapidly to the right. After taking it a part, I noticed a wire to the speed sensor for the left wheel is broken. I tried to take out the wheel but found some wires attached to the bottom of the robot which I couldn't figure out how to remove. Could you show/explain how it's done? My model is ozmo 930. Thanks!
In this model replacement wheel is quite difficult...but not impossible 😊 .. u need to open vacuum fan n LDS assembly as well... underneath you will find some small tiny screw attached with bottom chassis open all those screw remove that Mop plate located underneath dust box area then you will be able to remove all sensors wires...same way can fix back

Actually it's a wheel issue...if u can try to fix as in video i mentioned some tips u can do it at home...but if wheel is quite jammed means motor burn...see if u can find same wheel online just order n replace..if couldn't find then try to look same motor n just change motor...you can fix if u can get same size n v motor in open marcket

this is great information- but can you advise me why the right wheel on my deebot 900 seems to require more force to turn than the left wheel? My bot is making tight clockwise turns and both wheels can move when I flip it over. I find the right wheel to require more force to turn and you can feel resistance compared to the left wheel. Remember one thing all deebots got this function that when it move along the wall it always turns clockwise sometimes can go straight just next to wall sometimes jeep keep touching the wall but always clockwise.....in ur case if u already tested manually that one side wheel u feel harder than other side it means that side motor is slightly jammed but still turning or some hairs tangled inside thats why wheel slightly jammed if service center is not near by then u can try to open at home n follow video steps

The main brush is not rotating though the machine is working otherwise. As a result, the dust is not getting sucked up. I think the tiny part in which the brush is fixed has got lost, can I just buy this part
This information is really helps. I am able to fix my cecotec 3290 robot cleaner wheel issue by applying wd40. But, you said in the video the fix would work temporarily. What would be the permanent fix? Is wheel change permanent fix? Where can i buy it? (I am from India). Since cecotec authorized service center is not there in India, can you suggest who else can do service? I observed that there is white lubricant inside the wheel between levers. Thanks for ur compliments... There is one service center in new dehli plz search online... Normally motor become jamme that's why wd40 works n it start functioning... It's not due to that greasing it doesn't effect... If u couldn't find same new wheel assembly then try to find same motor from electronic shop n can fix ur self if there's no service center near by....

First of all need to remove bumper, then remove top cover, before removing top cover plz maksure remove all screw include LDS back screw cover with black rubber seal, under that rubber got two scree, before removing top cover from front need to remove two wires attached with motherboard then just pull up the top cover...pull up from bumper side then remove motherboard screw under motherboard u can find side brush motor screw, one screw for side brush motor is underneath where u fix the side brush.remove all screw then can take out the side brush motor

There is another problem you never addressed with the wheel not being able to turn. That is when the rubber wheel comes partially off its rim and is no longer a snug fit onto its rim and therefore the rubber wheel is not symmetrical on its rim. This prevents the wheel from turning because it makes contact with the wheel guard and jams.
I made the mistake of buying one of these hunk of junks a year ago. Never again!! That's why I'm here now trying to figure out how to fix the piece of crap.

After removing 4 screw of wheel casing can take out the wheel assembly...just wire attached with motherboard need to replace... weather new or old model all same

If u can find the same gear size then Just replace it.... hopefully online u can get this gear...all gears are normal size online should be available

Yes you can open the motor but it's quite difficult to remove motor bottom part.. don't break it
please check if wheels are on the floor
There is another problem you never addressed with the wheel not being able to turn. That is when the rubber wheel comes partially off its rim and is no longer a snug fit onto its rim and therefore the rubber wheel is not symmetrical on its rim. This prevents the wheel from turning because it makes contact with the wheel guard and jams.

Hello Sir Again lam distrubing you now I Remove and take it out wheel and . I try to open gearbox of wheel unscrew 4 screw But Can't open Because there is one counter wheel under one screw counter wheel Can't lift. may be Brake I think this is New model set Nobody show this type of set
After removing 4 screw of wheel casing can take out the wheel assembly...just wire attached with motherboard need to replace... weather new or old model all same
