Being a Filipino, i like how witty the pokemons are named. if only others can understand the Filipino language and you will certainly agree with me. some names said by the youtuber is wrong but if known, it would sound more dope and the context on naming is not lost.

manunghoul, skarmament, mastoad, gastrodon, leopura/bleozzard, cragoat, arachnoid, mongrim/muttuary, toku, volong and rhinore, along with all the starters, caught my attention the most.
the legendaries should be the bakunawa and minukawa.. dark and light ..

If this was made into a game, I'll buy it without hesitation. True enough, the designs are unique, and elegant while maintaining the original Pokemon aspect. No complaints about the typings, just tweak some of the abilities, and I have huge expectations for the pseudos, and legendaries. Loved everything so far, keep up that momentum, the designs I repeat, are top-notch.

Suggestion: The legendaries and Mythicals should be inspired from the Philipino Myths such as the Tikbalang (basically a Ware-horse or a half-man and half-horse), Kapre (the bigfoot in the philippines or the tree giant), Mananggal (a vampire lady who cuts its torso everytime it flies), and, my personal favorite, Bakunawa Dragon (the serpent Dragon who causes eclipses, earthquakes, rains and winds) and make them more kid friendly because let's just say that the mythical creatures are terrifying
They already leak the lwgendaries on their fb page the legendary for eternal light is based on minokawa a sun eating bird like dragon in mindanao mythology and for infernal dark is based on bakunawa a moon eating serpent like dragon while for the which is the Chaotic void the legendary is based on lawu a sun and moon eating reptile like dragon all based on philippine mythology

if anything we need to hope it doesn't become popular enough that GameFreak finds out and hands them a cease and desist (which they can and have to comply with). But we know someone is going to spread this information around and someone of GF twitter will see it and shut this down.
It will not happen for now due to the fact that lots of filipinos arent really fun purchasing consoles. We only think that its unnecessary and theres a lot of things we can buy instead of just one thing. Do you even see a commercial of nintendo here in our local channels? Vulcan Fossil: "Philippine Fresh Water Crocodile" once thought to be extinct but recently rediscovered in Northern Sierra Madre, Northern Luzon.
EDIT: That Rare Fossil one is definitely not from the philippines, that's look more like a dinosaur which is not a single bone cannot be found in the philippines
@@naiteisaiahbroqueza1115 i knew the first one was based off of a stegodon but i didn't knew that it was also found in the Philippines. I did a quick research and yes one species was endemic in the country.
and yes i also found out that tiger fossils were also found (that's amazing!)
The crocodile one, despite seeing the name, i was quick to disregard it since i thought that its evolved form was based off of a spinosaurus and i knew there's none in the Philippines. I took a look at it again and noticed that the name Volong was inspired by Lolong (thus, it is still a crocodile)
the rhino one, as i found out, is also inspired by rhino fossils in the Philippines
the last one however, Megalithos (meaning big rock) can not be inspired by any dinosaur from the Philippines since no dinosaur fossils are found in the Philippines yet. perhaps it is based off of legends

Volcroc evo is based from large crocodiles especially Lolong the World's Guiness Record crocodile
Cubburn evo is based from philippine tigris

The naming conventions and designs are very interesting. I'll share some interpretations based on our culture and language (which we call Tagalog)

3:01 Agila means eagle in Tagalog
4:01 Carabao's are well known to be the muscle animals of the farm. To be told that you work like a carabao means you are very hardworking and strong.
5:00 Haribon is the name of our national bird. The Philippine Eagle.
9:38 I recall a lot of our elders mentioning these that causes itch when touched. Same goes for the Centirok line. @
12:38 Ilog means river in Tagalog, hence its water typing.
14:49 Basura means trash in Tagalog. Oftentimes we encounter rats as big as cats in our country (especially in Metro Manila areas) in more garbage infested areas, hence these are seen as scary and mischievous for some people. Most of the time the broken cables and items at home are often caused by these rats. This may have inspired its Pokemon design.
15:23 Baboy means pig in Tagalog. Just my hunch on its fire typing but a very popular dish that we eat during festivals is the lechon which is roasted pig.
16:28 The ghost typing, design and evolution shows so much inspiration from the Aswang, a popular folklore in our country. The most common iteration is that during nights, the female torso separates from the bottom and grows bat wings to hunt and feast on prey and this must have inspired the evolution.
16:54 Inspired from Bangus, well known milkfish here that is super tasty
17:20 Itlog is Tagalog for egg, Inahin for Hen and Tandang for Rooster

Little context on the starters for you:
The Grass Type is probably based on the binturong, or "bear cat" or palm civet, an animal that lives in Southeast Asia.
The Fire Type is probably based on the Philippine Eagle, the country's national Bird, but Haribon is literally what we call the Philippine eagle so I'm gonna say that the fire starter is based on the Ibong Adarna, literally the Adarna Bird, which is a mythical bird in one of our legends. Really hard to tell...
The Water Type is based on Carabaos or Water Buffalo 🐃. It is the Philippines' national animal replacing the Tamaraw which is a more wild version of the Carabao endemic to the Philippines.
I tried to make a Filipino region and I didn't bother finishing it. As a Filipino, I REALLY LOVE IT!

Nice. Im a filipino and only discovering this. The starters looked like the national filipino animals but idk about the grass type though. Pipibon is maya bird here i think. Luppup is a askal dog. The doggo without a breed. Sparkit kitties in general. I can't explain all. If you are a filipino, im sure you know. XD

The fire starter is pretty cool, but it couldn't be a bird, since we already have blaziken. The fire pokemon has to be one of the animals from the Chinese calendar
I'm pretty sure the starters are based on animals you find in the Philippines, with grass being based on the binturong (a civet-like mammal found in SE Asia), the water based on the Asian water buffalo, and the fire starter is probably inspired by the Philippines crested eagle

Like, every grass starter is based in a prehistoric animal, every water type is related to a weapon ( Greninja-Shuriken, blatoise- canon, etc) and every fire starter is based in an animal from chinese calendar.
