To get to a bowl, we'll have to win 3 conference games. We may have to beat both LSU and Ole Miss to do that. But we can't always count on these games being close and winnable just because they've been that way in the past.

That would be a lone conference victory over Miss St in Starkville, and a non-conference loss at Ok State. That is possible if the O-Line is not improved, the offense sputters, and the defense is on the field for too long every game. A losing record would likely illicit a termination for Sam Pittman. On the high end, the 2024 Razorbacks could surprise the hell out of almost everyone and finish 9-3, 5-3 in the SEC. That would include winning all four non-conference games, and winning most of their SEC home games. This outcome is also possible, but only if the O-Line is much improved and the offense executes Petrino's game plans well, helping to keep the defense off the field as much as possible so they can stay fresh. A 9-3 record would likely gain an invitation to the Citrus Bowl on NYD or the Gator Bowl, with a chance to get to 10 wins. 9-3 might also be good enough to earn Pittman the SEC Coach of the Year award. In my opinion, I think the 2024 Razorbacks end up somewhere in the middle, finishing 7-5, 3-5 in SEC play. This would include Arkansas winning all four non-conference games, plus beating Texas A&M in Arlington, at Mississippi St, and beating one of these three in Fayetteville: Tennessee, LSU, or Ole Miss. I would love to see the Hogs beat Texas in DWRRS, but I don't see it happening at this moment. While 7-5 might not get Pittman a raise or a contract extension, it will get him one more year at the helm. It would also likely earn an invitation to the Liberty Bowl or the Las Vegas Bowl.
Hog fans arrogance is amusing. Why would you believe Hogs should never lose to Mississippi schools? They have better athletes and better coaches. Arkansas has sucked for 15 years. I recall Hogs are not supposed to lose to Missouri either. Have you given up on that fallacy?
I don't get the hype with Texas. The only reason they got love last season was because they beat a Bama team that was still trying to get it going early last season. Outside of that W nothing was as impressive as everyone is making them out to be.
I expect the Hawgs to beat the 3M's and aTm more often than not. Also expect the Hawgs to beat LSU 4 or 5 times out of 10 and Texas half the time. If they cannot reach those numbers, I consider it a bad season.
I still HATE that the SEC pooh-bahs decided that LSU/Arkansas the day after T'giving just wasn't as important as LSU/A&M. They should move it back to that day, what with A&M playing UT again...but they won't because they don't have any respect for Arkansas.
