Hey bud, how long have you been doing this, and is this something you just stumbled upon and found out people like watching and stuck with it. It kind of reminds me of the people that watch all the nurburgring racers day in and day out and post all the cool stuff
been doing this since 2013. wanted a hobby to do at the beach instead of sitting around doing nothing. I took inspiration form a guy who posted motorcycles on Mullholland Drive and I adapted it to boats... here is his channel.. ua-cam.com/users/rnickeymouse
Captain Buddy Davis (Davis Boats) out of Manteo and Wanchese NC pretty much invented "Flare" as we now know it! I recorded the catches (for a NCSU Prof) off of his and all the other boats at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center summers of '69 and '70. Captain Davis was one of the coolest/hardest-working boat-drivers that ever fished out of Oregon Inlet. The boats he built in the off-season of the 70s are all visible in these new boats! Flare Baby!! Keeps you dry and very stylish! Buddy Cannady is also tied with him for first place! More beautiful Dare County design! (Dear Captain Davis, I'm still VERY sorry I walked up the side of your boat into that fresh paint you had just put down in late summer '69! Up till that moment, I didn't know that a human could yell that loud, and I also didn't know that I could levitate all the way off your boat in one leap, but I did...)
Thanks for sharing all of these custom boat, nothing against Viking , but is nice to take a break and see many other yatch out there and the beautiful work done by many others.
Wow that Spencer at the end with half the hull out while on plane! You must have worked the docks to get the builder's names for all those boats, nice job. Just beautiful.
I had no idea how many different sports fishing battlewagon mfrs there are. Good video to watch if you're ready & looking to buy one. I knew only about Merritt, Viking, Hatteras, Bertram & Rybovich that's about it.
If I had to choose 1, couldn't do it, just can't do it. It's like going to the Playboy Mansion party and Hugh Hefner saying, just choose 1, just 1. Couldn't do it, just can't do it. All of them are just stunning in so many ways.
Thank you for the video . To be honest I love these videos the most . Did I miss the Vikings as I did not see any ?? Also the last time I saw this much Flare / flair I was watching wrestling !!!
No chance those battle wagons will stuff a bow, trimmed high and plenty of boat to handle it. Loved the flare on Dean Johnson's 57' custom. So many beautiful boats, thanks for sharing.
Great video!! I am new to this channel I am curious, I did not see any Bertram's Hatteras' or Vikings can somebody tell me why? I was shocked to see just from this video how many independent boat builders there are that I've never even heard of I am not in the fishing community So typically when I think of sport fishing I think of the 3 brands I mentioned Above may be throwing in Rybovitch and a few others. I think I live on the wrong coast Naples just doesn't seem like a boating community at all
Nice boats, but my main takeaway was realising, after 20 years at sea, and many more messing with boats, that the US buoyage system has starboard marks on the port side, and port marks to starboard. Weird.
@@piggway Not a Jersey Cape Lil' Devil. It's a 28FT Davis, (also built here in NJ now). I own a 36FT Jersey Cape Devil, and that is not a Lil' Devil 31.
maybe. it if it made the quality cut, it will probably show up in that days edit or another vid.. i'm currently building out lots of vids including, biggest, best action, center consoles and daily action..
Oh-p's I went to hit LiKe & see I have watched it twice, what a deal. I just find it way relaxing art in motion, the sound of turbo's spinning up, waves & F L A R E he he oh yes. MaD LuV for the sportfish look man it just makes you/ me smile all thru each video! No center console, no matter how big, or how many outboards they stuff on the transom can compare to the ride and seaworthiness of a Carolina sportfisher. Cheers
You needed to be on the dock at Sunset Marina to see the Trump flags. Hundreds, (without a single Biden flag). Most crews only hoist their release/catch flags once they reach the inlet. No need to take away the focus from what you accomplished during the day offshore

Not so many high sides as Mulholland though 😋
I live in oc so this is cool to watch
I’d love to see some vids with the Lights Out boat. It is a 69 foot Bayless
Spectacular to watch these sport fisherman yachts cut through the water at speed.
All great boats. Watching them slice through waves with level bows makes me appreciate how well they are designed.
This is the best example of Carolina boats displayed I have ever come across great work
Thanks honored to hear that!
I watch a LOT of videos similar to this. But not as good as this one. Gorgeous battlewagons, one after another in crisp detail. Phenomenal.
Quite a fleet of sport fishers, nicely done. Lots of dollars flying by!
Great job! Thank you very much ZZP!
Blood Money - a Caison beauty. Excellent!
11:12 Electric Bills that Spencer 60'. That's a good looking vessel!!!!
Do you know why they would just re do the bottom paint on the bow it’s like it’s just for show?
@@vincentsmyth3588 not sure on that.
I'm pretty sure its a high speed bottom paint on most the hull except for the bow. Its a smoother finish then normal bottom paint
Yeah it runs at a good posture too a lot of those customs were sitting down hull down in the water that Spencer say nice and high modified V.
These boats could not be more beautiful!

I've always wanted a Buddy Davis sportfish. I love those boats. Unfortunately they're way out of my budget. Even the older ones.
@@UltraMagaFanbest boat in the game
I take great pride in the fact the best boats on the planet are built in my backyard in NC.
All those monsters are just pushing the ocean out of the way!!! 🤣
It's amazing how many custom boat builders there are.
I love watching my local New Jersey boats go by like blue runner and Jersey nutz
Thanks for sharing all of these custom boat, nothing against Viking , but is nice to take a break and see many other yatch out there and the beautiful work done by many others.
you're welcome!
Nice seeing Austin in his new boat (primary search). That's a big step up from what he had.
Great to watch for boat lovers. Thank you for your time and effort for the videos.
Youre welcome. Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks for the video. Miss seeing boats like that, they are awesome. They need to bring them down to Haulover and show them how to dig and plow lol.
Jarrett Bay boat's looks so cool!
Sportfishers rock. Pure Americana
64 Caison, Rollin Coal!! Nice!!!
That was awesome seeing that 62 flying like that woohoo!!
Builders Choice but Jarret Bay hands down my favorite one
That would be a bucket list item for me being on a 60 footer going about 45 in a rolly sea just showing those waves who's boss crashing threw them.
So elegant. They just own the ocean when they come in. These boats have personalities like they are living things (sound dumb?)
So happy you have some more WMO coverage!
Thanks, and keep up the good work.
Wow that Spencer at the end with half the hull out while on plane! You must have worked the docks to get the builder's names for all those boats, nice job. Just beautiful.
Thanks. Alot of online research, about 8 hours to figure out the builders.

Hold up!! Someone caught a 73# Mahi?!? Nice 🎣
I’ve watched this at least ten times this video is amazing
Nice! There’s smooth runnin’.....
Love these customs, built for the Atlantic.
Much prefer these boats over the centre consoles out of Haulover, they just perform so well. 🍺🍺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🎣🎣🛥🛥🛥

Nothing like some flare!
love it when they dig in like a snow plow
That inlet was hurtin after all those big boys came flying in!!!
Had no idea there are so many custom yachts!!
Great video!
Amazing boats and yachts ! Wouawww...! ;-)
Grande pez might be a Davis 52i think, excelent footage
10:40 that Buddy Davis was just around 35 foot, but had twin Yamaha 425s... would've liked to see her at full throttle.
Great vid.. keep it up!
thank you!
That first one tho🤤🤤
Great video man! Love the WMO footage
Thanks. More to come

ha, rick flair.. no vikings in this one.
nice boats
Nothing sweeter than a big flare along with a hard chine and a tumble home. I was going to go buy me one but I seem to be a couple mil light...

The buddy Davis center console is a 34’ called “concrete evidence” I fish with the captain and mate for him frequently
thanks for that, I couldn't figure out the name! I updated the description
Every boat hull ca,me from the same mold. At least the ones over 60 feet.
Diesel straight shafts? Mostly?
Will you be posting more from the 2020 WMO? I really enjoyed all that glorious 2019 footage of all that glorious footage! 📏📏📏📏📏📏📏📏📏📏📏📏📏📏📏
oh yes... should have around 10 vids if things go as planned, working on one right now as we speak and posting it in the morning if all goes well
@@ZipZapPower Fantastic!
Some of these ride distinctly more level than others. Most ride too bow high- not all.
whats with the little blue flags some boats keep hoisting up? shows how many fish you caught?
Yes, I'm pretty sure.
yep, you nailed it. the blue flag with white fish is for white marlin, white flag with blue fish is blue marlin... etc
Yep each one type of fish they caught.

Even saw boats with a TRUMP flag!

All of theses custom boats, do they start with a basic hull design, or are they full custom from the keel up?
Fully custom cold molded boats
I always wonder where they get the money for all thag
Nice boats, but my main takeaway was realising, after 20 years at sea, and many more messing with boats, that the US buoyage system has starboard marks on the port side, and port marks to starboard.

Would not recommend coming through a inlet when a bunch of these guys are rolling in. The give zero fs about smaller boats close to them.

Love seeing these things knife through the rough water, love seeing the TRUMP flag flying in the wind as well.
Seriously dude, do no boats like these go out of Haulover? Every one of these is nicer than almost everything I've seen in a Haulover video.

Bertram wannabe's.
Bertam can't dream of standing in the same ocean as these Custom Carolina's. All of these boats are far superior to Bertrams in every way possible.
