I don’t buy it. The fact that she once told us in an older video that she “used to” catfish all the time, plus little details (or lack thereof) in this story about this guy, just make me think she’s making him up (or at least making some of this up).
I think this makes her feel really good about herself because she believes people watching will think along the lines of, “Wow! Chantal really is amazing, beautiful, charming, etc. if she can get such a perfect guy!” Plus, it’s a good way to get views, aka $, and she is clearly right about that. And I am okay with Chantal. I’m not a “hater” at all. I’m not saying she’s faking all/some of this with any feeling of disgust, dislike, etc. - I don’t really have any feelings about it all. I just think it is one more thing that proves how desperately she needs a lot of really good, intensive therapy. Because she has created yet another temporary high for herself that seems to be based on a lie or at least lots of embellishments - as I see it, anyway. And I admit, the biggest reason I feel this is made up is because I used to do things like this when I was like 17, 18, 19 years old and very obese and still single (I’m 45 now and have had years of good therapy, lost 130 pounds, and live as truthfully as I possibly can at all times - therapy is literally life-saving if you commit and have the right therapist). Anyway, this whole Nicholas “scenario” she has created feels eerily familiar. 😕
