I am glad to see Nero is a good four star. I kinda figured she'd be good because of all of the survival skills she has. And I kinda already assumed she'd get something akin to guts...but I wasn't expecting that overpowered ability. It did not do that in Fate/Extra. At least I don't think it did. I wouldn't know since usually I never got hit after it proced. XD

Somehow it really is fitting that Nero and Tamamo end up being well suited to teaming up.
While Nero isn't strong in every situation, it is nice that she is great at what she does best. Just being a near unkillable servant. Plus it is nice that minus Tamamo you can create some pretty cost effective teams around her. Obviously Mash is always going to be there and Hans is easy to get.
Although to be fair even if she was really bad I'd try to find the best team to build around Nero. A great character and is fun in this game. Overall pretty quick and some nice jumping attacks.
She has really nice attack animations. And yea can't help but wonder if they made Tamamo + Nero such a strong combo on purpose or not lol

You should've mentioned Nero's Bond Level 10 Craft Essence, which raises all allied Arts Card's effectiveness by 15%, which further makes her a great fit for Arts teams and, by extension, great support for Emiya as well.
It just seems like it was quite intentional for Tamamo, Nero, and Emiya to make a good team, as nod to Fate/Extra.

I do have to say, she is single handedly the reason I made it through the last round of Nero Fest. I misused my half AP time, and spent it farming EXP and not pieces (cause I didn't understand how it worked). So I only had like lv 50 servants, 1-2 lv 60. I don't think I have to explain how many tears were shed farming that last round. Nero was almost always the last one standing and she just dunked servant after servant.

maybe i'm just lucky but I almost always get buffs from imperial privilege so 60% sounds about right.

For me it’s like the atk boost is 50% and the def boost is 70%

I’m more a fan of Tamamo fan as far as Fate Waifus go, and yet I pulled 3 copies of Umu over here in the same Gacha…

Just got my very own Umu, so came here how to use her more effectively
I was happy I got her at nerofest banner , since back at jp server, I never had a chance to have her aside from her bride version.
Having her side by side with gil somehow pleasing the eyes, since both of them have red and gold color
I also personally think Nero is decent right now in US server, since her survivability is really appreciated until more better saber servant came out later on with harder missions, but until then, I'll cherish my umu!

Migraine is more to use as a combo with her thrice setting sun. because she only comes back at 500HP, Migraine can top her HP by 2000, combined with imperial privileges to heal another 3400HP, so the will at least not go down in 1 hit and make her more unkillable
With or without her third skill, Nero is still awesome. Also, Red Saber is Best Saber.

Thank you as ever for the video (I didn't even wanted Nero, but since I'm playing Fate/Extra for lile, the fourth time and this time with Nero, I gave it a shot. Drop here with the first 3 ticket summon, lol) Just wondering two things;First, so you suggest to invest in here, no matter what, for now right? And second, do you know when tamamo will be out? First, to team up these two, and second, because Tamamo is just, you know, the Waifu)
I recommend investing her no matter what. I have Altera and I am still maxing Nero first (but that is moreso for waifu reasons lol).And Tamamo should be out very soon, within the next month or two at the pace this game is going. Good luck, I'll be rolling for her too
welp nero is about to get buffed with the goblet of wealth commin in the second ballet of the seraph event
I like using black Grail on her since her heals make up for the dmg over time. The attack buffs is also a bonus when it lands.

Finally got her to 80 through farming EXP while there is a Event Campaign. Burning a lot of apples as I acquired a lot of servants since the Nero Fest.
I'm play testing the combination of Arts Servants, I have a lot of them.
One of my favorite team for sabers is d'Eon, Nero and Nero Bride.

UMU, had her as a servant in Fate/Extra, lied her ever since. Quite interesting builds you can put together with her.
She is pretty strong, and I can't wait for the Fate/Extra anime to see UMU on the big screen

Got Tamamo during a Halloween roll so Artsmemes AHOY should we get an event where they share bonuses or I can just form a party of whoever for farming.
EDIT:Due to how some fights tend to go for me I think I'll just lvl Migraine and IP for the heals mostly (I'll have to get Thrice Setting Sun though...)

Sogn of a smiling face is best on her if you have it. Painting Summer also works well

From personal experience, you are far likely to get spooked by EMIYA than Nero. May as well get Nero. :D

i pick nero
i would pick emiya. emiya is the best crit servant in the game, he has that absolutely broken hawkeye which gives him extra 100% crit damage and crit star gen for 3 whole turns. also he is a great team player, 3 arts card to help your team generate NP, and buster NP to help your team buster chain if your other servants have buster NPs. pair him with a super star generator servant like jack, and give him a crit star absorption card and he will become an absolute beast on attacks. his NP stuck on 3 enemies when hawkeye is active will give everyone 100% crit chance, and his buster crit with hawkeye will do a lot of damage.
i will pair him with merlin and jeanne when fighting strong bosses. jeanne and merline will be my shield, and merlin's hero creation skill can amp emiya's buster damage to about 200-300K, and arts damage to about 50K. also all 3 of them have 3 arts cards, so extremely easy to charge NPs
i just rolled her today when i was hoping for tamamo no mae lol i already have a lvl 80 Bedivere and lvl 80 Lancelot who are enough for me in terms of my saber team but i guess i'll get to work on leveling Nero up too! her skills def look interesting
Considering this video is almost a year old, I wonder if any of your opinions on Nero have changed since posting? Just got her off a random ticket and it looks like she will go swell with my Tamamo and Mash team.

Time flies lol. I still consider her a very good 4*, very tanky with good offense if you can get IP off. In a team with Ozy and Tamamo she would be extremely strong

I still remember when i was new in the game and in one story mission i bring all my sr and ssr that i had, they were a bit underleveled and all my team die, well all but Nero, and she made the last hits that Let me win, since then i maxed her and Is one of my favorite servants, i even have nero bride and i m looking for Nero caster
I want her so bad but I have to save all my quartz for Okita. Guess I will have to make do with OG Cu as my cockroach for now.

So I need some advice I got Nero and Heracles and I'm trying to decide which one to ascend, these octuplet crystals are a pain in the ass to get. Nero seems to be immediately better because getting to Heracles's rank 10 CE seems like it will take an eternity.
For gameplay purposes I would still say go with Herc over Nero, he is just too ridiculously strong, even without his bond CE. In fact you can use this Nero Fest CE as a weaker substitute for his bond CE.

I've already got all three available Stocks of the CE
Just recently rolled Nero and Mordred. Which one should l prioritize ascending first (I have no waifu preference whatsover lol)? Mordred is my only 5*, the only saber with the classic Pendragon-like AOE np, and by default my most powerful servant besides Heracles. But it seems like Nero is better overall at least in skills. For now I tend to prefer wiping enemies out asap instead of solo tank/survival which Nero seems to be (she seems like a saber-version of Cu/Scathach)
Congrats! And I would recommend Mordred first, just because she is gonna be more useful as your strongest Saber. Nero is great too, but more so for stalling and tanking, Mordred is more vital for clearing out enemies and getting you through tough events and quests
Thanks so much man! Yeah Mordred is also the character I liked more due to F/A. Don't know much about Nero yet though Fate/Extra will change that. I was caught in the above dilemma largely due to the crystals; Nero needs 6 for her 2nd Asc, while Mordred needs 10 for her 3rd asc. They're such a pain to collect.
Placed her together with Emiya and Tamamo because Fate/Extra and um... wow.
They work together surprisingly well as a general use, all-purpose team. And very hard to kill.
Real problem is if a enemy Lancer one-hits Emiya with a crit. A little screwed of a star generator there.

I dropped 210 quartz and 8 summon tickets on Nero's first boosted drop event. I don't get my Umu. I then drop 60 quartz and 3 tickets on Halloween event and I get Tamamo... makes sense...

hans a bit too squishy, 1 crit or 2 hit can take him out. sub him with merlin or medea lily. and you have to give nero a level 10 imperial privileges. will put her attacks stats to about 13.6K for 3 out of 5 turns, higher than the base attack of all 5 star servants even when she is at level 80

I gave her Wizard and Priest. Not only does it provide a 20% Heal Up but a 20% on her NP
4080 heal and 2400 heal

Lol recently Imperial Privilege has been working dang well for me, at around 85% for perfect buff.
I am investing on low star servants recently for upcoming Setsubun event, I should try out the Nero-Hans-Mashu/Robin team.
That is a good team, I love how this event is gonna force people to make some creative teams

salter hits harder, grail her to lv90 and her attack and NP damage will be even higher than normal artoria. nero is better though if she can consistently use her imperial privileges, if not like the video say, 60% chance of activating is a bit too unreliable in a boss fight

From the party setup screen before you go out on a mission click the "master equip" button (the leftmost button on the bottom) and you can cycle through outfits

I cannot abide Nero despite how good she is in game. Historically speaking, Emperor Nero was a madman and mass murderer. He was a failure of a military commander, warrior, and administrator. My biggest issue with Type-Moon's Nero is how they completely deviated from historical fact. I'm not talking about gender-bending. I'm talking about how Type-Moon recreated historical and mythological characters while paying tribute to the original source material. Type-Moon choose to take the alternate route with Nero and make her a stereotypical "misunderstood" figure. This course of action would have been acceptable if they made her a Berserker instead of a Saber and Caster. Design wise, they just reskinned Artoria with a red see-through dress and high-heel boots. Thank-you for the review.
That is true, there is Rider Nero who is supposed to be the Beast of Revelation. So when we eventually get her I think she'll represent Nero's more atrocious and destructive nature
