    Some things that have helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I stopped wearing hair ties because it leds to tension damage. (2) I began massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while leaning forward & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Covering my head while moving out to shield my hair from pollution. (4) Using mild shampoo again from liittleextra only to wash my hair.

    The preparation is a maceration or a steeping of lavender in olive oil.

      Thank you for letting me know what it is called! I was wondering, I could figure out how to do it... just not what to call it 😅

    Hi.. I have a lavender plant but I don't have the buds yet. Do you think i can use the leaves instead?

    • @thankfulthriftiness
      @thankfulthriftiness  2 роки тому +2

      Hello Jessica, absolutely! I don’t know if the scent may be a little less intense, but it will still smell like lavender :)
      A tip for using the leaves, make sure that the leaves are fully dried out or else it could make the oil a little cloudy.

    can we use a menthol for the cooling effect?

    • @thankfulthriftiness
      @thankfulthriftiness  Рік тому

      I would think so, although I have never tried it. Just make sure to follow the usual guidelines for applying menthol (i.e. keeping it away from eyes) and you should be good!

    Thank you for such a simple yet exacting tutorial! Your vid popped up first in my feed when I searched for how to make lavender infused oil. I have had a great harvest of my Spanish lavender and hope to make some. Definitely trying the cold method!! 😊

      Also would this Lavender oil be good for hair? I would love to make a conditioner with it but I don't know if it would be too thick or not :))

    • @thankfulthriftiness

      Oh, I’m sorry 😢, well, my best advice for lavender is sunshine, good soil drainage (sandier soil) and time. For me it seems like waiting three years is the sweet spot for a full bush of lavender (but maybe that is just me being bad with plants, but this has happened three separate times). I hope this helps, please let me know how it goes!

      Ooh! Love the idea, olive oil is thick but as I have not tried making that I have no idea- but I think you should give it a go and let us know how it works!

    Might want to change yiur title- that's not lavender oil. That's lavender infused oil. Big difference.

    • @thankfulthriftiness
      @thankfulthriftiness  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you for your suggestion, I can understand how lavender oil could appear to mean lavender essential oil, I will change the title to hopefully be less misleading :)
