for those who dosent know, peacock is a very very well respected brand in CHINA, they make high quality watches with half or a quarter of the price of swiss made watches. the brand is one of the 8 pioneer watch factories in CHINA together with the famous seagull (tian jin) watch factory. the brand peacock is from the Liaoning watch factory which was established in 1958. Now they mainly focus on tourbillons with various designs. Peacock watches have been worn by president and celebrities throughout Asia.
I have one of their limited edition watches I believe only 5 were made with the dial drawn by artist Zeng Fan and one sold at auction for 100k USD in China. Another one is owned by Kim Jong Un
A beautiful watch and a noble undertaking from this manufacturer. Here's hoping they can overcome the snobbishness which exists when it comes to Chinese watches at this price point and shift some units. The domestic market at least should step up.
Kind of like what Ciga Design are trying to do with their Blue Planet. The problem is the one I had broke and nobody could or would fix it. So it's basically junk now. One would be crazy to spend more than a few hundred on a Chinese watch. It's ok for the ones with reliable NH or Miyota movements, but with a complication like this, you're just asking for trouble. A Chinese warranty is as useful as a sink with no hole. The more intricate the complication the more likely it will break or soon need a service. Some won't mind but for most people $3,800 is too much of a gamble on a watch without a real warranty or local service option. My advice, don't do it.

Definitely an interesting piece, thanks for reviewing this and sharing it with us. Case, crystal, and lugless strap design remind me a lot of the HYT H0 (and others from that brand). Seems to be well executed, though at these price points lifetime serviceability becomes a prime concern in addition to raw technical and manufacturing prowess.
Not everything that comes from China is of bad quality. Some chinese entry luxury and luxury watch brands... Behrens, Atelier Wen, Peacock, Memorigin, Ciga Design, Celadon and Lin Yong Hua. I think these brands are doing great stuff in terms of horology and it's no surprise they are entering the hardcore watch collectors scope.
If this were from MBF or RM, people would be losing their minds. Peacock, and other Chinese brands, have a massive mountain to climb to gain consumer confidence in the West. Even Grand Seiko - with decades of horology expertise - is only slowly gaining respect in the West in the last 10 years. I say all of this owning a Seagull, and other microbrands from UK, Germany.

But as the saying goes , I would be off my rocker to spend going on $4,000 for anything with an unredeemable Chinese warranty. Tourbillons are extremely delicate, give one an accidental knock and it's in need of resetting and it's difficult to find anyone to fix it. If you do , you'll probably pay at least $800 to $1,000 to get it fixed. Peacock is a well known movement company but movements with complications come with a lot of complications.😉 Keep your barge pole with you and use it not to touch this watch. If you want a tourbillon and are willing to throw away $4k, save up and buy one with a real warranty.

Haha this one is not made nor bought for "easy time reading at a glance and in all conditions" . You buy it for the central Tourbillon as there are literally less than 5 brands making one, unlike regular Tourbillons that are now widely spread. Up until recently there was only ONE central Tourbillo, made by Omega, but even today it is a pretty rare complication to see

It's inevitable that a few early adopters will need to have these watches before watchmakers learn how to repair them.

So the crystal makes it literally unrepairable if you ever dare to break the crystal.
