This was such a great game! I just started replaying it a few days ago.
No, it is an average game. That is the reason it did not took off
THIS IS A TOP PS2 GAME. I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER PS2 CONSOLE BECAUSE MY LAST ONE BROKE DOWN. I PUT ROGUES GALAXY ON AND IM PLAYING IT NOW, ITS A GREAT GAME. PLENTY TO DO IN THIS GREAT GAME. FROM AN ELDERLY LADY.
How many hours will it take to beat it ?
Remind me of star ocean till the end of time but more real time since battles are more instant and it's also similar to final fantasy 12

Already finished this game in my childhood, great game and much cooler fighting style than nowadays rpg, but havent got all the legendary weapon and the bounty monster
Straight up one of the best looking action RPG's on PS2. Could even go as far as saying that it's one of the best looking PS2 games of all time. Right up there with Dragon Quest VIII. Perhaps even looks better. I'd definitely watch a play-through of this on this channel. Just saying.

if you thought this game was the best, you need to try star ocean 3
it is better in both gameplay and story, imo
I really wish they made a Remake or Re:master of this game. This game was ahead of its time.

I'm glad you played far enough to see some space stuff and that sandworm movie scene. You were just shy of the Rose Nebula, but this is great nonetheless

Maybe I should replay this I technically got very far into the game past the big second reveal but never finished it not sure if because my PS2 broke at the time or something else
I tried it on an emulator back in the day but my computer wasn’t good enough and there was nonstop stuttering

I wish Level 5 would get back to making console RPGs the last good one was Ni No Kuni and that was ages ago nowadays they mostly make mobile stuff

It runs terrible on the PS4, it's an absolute gem on a emulator
Looks like this game mix up with Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry. (I looking at you Dirge of Cerberus FF VII)

my phone can only handle so much... though I can play this very well with aethersx2.
I just paid £5.99 for this game on the PS4 as I didn't want to pirate it. Audio stuttering from the start and then a screen freeze and crash after 30 minutes! No refunds cos Sony being Sony. So, I stole it from a torrent site and away we go haha.
Thankfully I grabbed a physical copy for around 25 bucks
I dont understand why theres so much complication in this game. So much to learn and to remember. So many different skills, commmands, abilities and features. Games are meant to be fun but here it feels like a full time job.
