Delilah is doing a great job taking care of Makongo and it seems that Nala keeps a close eye on him as well. I’m always impressed by the way gorillas band together to take care of the youngest troupe members - they really are amazing creatures. ❤🤩

I was worried when the baby didn’t want to take his bottle and he was trying to eat tomatoes. I know he needs his milk glad he’s eating. I’m glad he loves his mommy. God bless mommy❤

She’s oLd OLD 😂 and I was toLd previously that 👑 Queen Dalila **is in fact NOT LACTATING** but that she aLLows baby MAKONGO to latch on as like a “Comfort” to him because that’s what he was used to doing with his Mom TAMIDOL. So I have No Idea why they would say in THIS VIDEO that Dalila is Lactating when Indeed she’s Not 🤷🏽♀️ Imo it’s very MISLEADING.
Dalila is 52 years old, and this situation is possible because the same thing has already happened with Freddy. It truly is amazing.

Starting from 00:17 in this video, the baby is clearly making sucking and swallowing motions🥰. During this time, the zookeeper also takes a picture with a phone. I’ve seen Makongo trying to nurse from Dalila more than once, so I’m sure she is breastfeeding the baby👏♥️👸🦍. This situation also happened with Freddy. Please tell me what time can I see Makongo at the zoo? When is he shown to visitors? It's a long way to the zoo for me, but I really want to see Delilah and Makongo.
Dalila has already returned to the family with the baby. Except for mealtime when they are indoors, they spend the rest of the time with the family members.
Delila is 52 years old. She isnt feeding makongo. Thats why he needs the bottle. She isnt his mother.
I have been observing Dalila for a long time; she must have started nursing again👏. She is indeed 52 years old, but it’s just amazing😘👸🦍♥️. However, the milk she produces is not enough to satisfy the baby’s appetite, so the baby still needs a bottle to replenish its energy🍼💪♥️.
This lady visits these gorillas regularly. She knows what she is talking about. Dalila may have been triggered into lactating out of love for the baby. It happened to Fredrika at age 47. I'm glad Dalila's lactating. It tells me that she doesn't feel burdened by having to raise Makongo. She is happy to have the baby, and she loves him.

It's called "spontaneous lactation" like Freddie (Fredrika) who is nursing Jameela. That is if indeed Dalilah is lactating. Likely the nipple is only being used by Makongo as a pacifier. He misses nursing from his mom.
