  • This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into specific gravity and density. It explains how to calculate the specific gravity of a substance and how to calculate the density of a liquid mixture such as water and alcohol. It contains practice problems on calculating the mass of air a rectangular room and how to calculate the weight of a balloon filled with air. It contains many examples involving calculations with volume, mass, and density.

A lump of gold is suspected to contain some quantity of aluminum. if the gold sample has a mass of 0.5kg and specific gravity of 5.2. Find what mass of gold is present if the specific gravity of gold and aluminum are respectively 19.3 and 2.6

Instead ,of saying the balloons ,skin you could just say the mass of the surface of the balloon is 0.35kg ,but other than that the video was great, and you deserve more attention.

How many grams of water must be

  • @user-je1xl1od1d

But in practical life ethyl alcohol and water so possitive deviation hence volume slightly increase

As a 10th-grade high school dropout, I am now age 38 I don't know much about this stuff at all. I have recently developed a new affection for maths and sciences. Thanks are due to you UA-camrs or covid and distance learning. This is the first video I'm watching of yours.

I think the volume is 4186,66667 not 4188,8

I don't understand why we can't simply add the density of water and alcohol together to get the total density

This doesn't make sense to me you're calculating gravity by using Substances such as air which have water molecules and water...... Air and water have a natural buoyancy.....

I think when you mix 30L water and 50L alcohol together does not become 80L of water/alcohol mixture.
