@@reihino6347 No, of course not and I don't think many are suggesting otherwise. Have you missed feminism? It's an ongoing struggle and one that can't come to an end. Even so, outside the porn industry, sexualisation of women in the West isn't fetishised into something good or beneficial for women. Women being described as diamonds is akin to claiming they are the possessions of men. Something they supposedly want to treasure until they lose their shine.

We don’t really see men being sexually objectified. Have you ever seen an ad with an half naked man selling a bottle of water? Or even a car? Nope! That’s what Islam wants to prohibit, why should women be sexually objectified for the pleasure of man. Islam teaches that it’s the inner soul that’s most important and appearance should not matter.

@Love Life i think you insulting women for wanting to follow their religion is actually disgusting. We don’t ever insult you for not covering so why you insulting us for wanting to show modesty? Let’s get one thing clear here, Islam is the only religion that does not conform to ANY changing society, our scriptures have remained the same since the day it was revealed. It was only less than 100 years ago you people in the west slowly starting changing your attire, but women all around the world have always displayed some form of modesty, regardless of religion. So now that the west have “evolved” the rest of the world are idiots for not following right?
Christianity and other religions adjust and amend their rules to retain followers. But Islam will never do this, yet it is the fastest growing religion in the world, Islam is growing faster than the worlds population. And guess what, we haven’t changed a sentence in our scriptures to make anyone happy. You either follow or you don’t. And our god has specifically prescribed modesty to both men and women.
Thanks for sending little article talking about the word “hijab”. But this is why we have scholars that have studied the religion for years And I rather follow their interpretations of what it means to cover. We also follow the way the prophets wife’s covered. Mary (mother of Jesus) is also another women we follow in terms of modesty. There’s so much depth to Islam and only those that study the religion can truly understand it.
Again do not insult any woman for wanting to dress how she want to dress. I understand that freedom of expression is a double standard concept in the west, but perhaps you need to think critically first before you speak.

I have no prejudice against the Windrush generation. However, it is important to note that there is a fundamental difference between their immigration experience and what we are witnessing today in terms of integration. The United Kingdom is founded on Christian values and principles, while Afghanistan is a Muslim country with its own set of laws and traditions. If I were to reside in Afghanistan, I would make every effort to respect their cultural practices and regulations. Similarly, individuals relocating to the United Kingdom should abide by the country's laws and traditions, just like the Windrush generation did by learning English and integrating into British society.

My grandparents came from india and wouldn’t move here out of respect before they learnt the language and got a degree in English history. They then named all their kids English names and started to eat, talk and become English when they were here. I think that’s respectful and what should happen. That way we can preserve everyone’s culture - because if I ever wanted to move to india - I’d make damn sure I ate curry every day, didn’t use knives and forks and wore a Kurta - it’s just a respect thing for me.

Why are you applying past acts done by a group of people who are not currently alive today? Why is it that I am feeling shamed for this? What about cultures that are CURRENTLY doing horrendous things? I don’t hold a specific race/group of people accountable, and that’s with current events going on to this day!
Also, you are saying ‘they did this’ or ‘they didn’t respect that.’ Does that make it right then? And as I said, these were events long ago in the past anyway. Doesn’t make it right, but the past is the past.

All the women and girls in this video made perfect sense to me, a non-muslim man, in their choice to wear the niqab. They all sounded absolutely English and seemed delightful. It is a woman's right to wear whatever she wants, and it is a muslim woman's right to wear a a full veil if she so chooses. All this anti-niqab stuff is just Islamophobia, which is pretty nasty.

I believe that if a woman believes that she should or wants to wear a niqab, then she should. I've yet to meet a niqabi who expects others to wear it if they don't wish to or don't believe it. I am not Muslim, yet I am also a niqabi. It is right for me--I don't expect anyone else to follow suit. In my case, there is no man in my life forcing me to dress modestly, it is completely voluntary. So far where I live there has been no problem, for which I am grateful. I have always liked to dress modestly, so for me it is something of an evolution. About ten years ago, I began wearing an abaya and hijab, then over the past year I found myself being led to wear niqab as well. I've been wearing it about three months now and when I go out, I feel blessed and protected and I find myself not as distracted, which for me is a good thing. I jusy hope one day woen can dress as they please without hassles from others.

I think it is ironic that modesty is claimed to be the reason that some Muslim women choose to wear the niqab and the burka, yet I believe that wearing it in a non-Muslim country has the opposite effect. I think it is very immodest because it draws attention to oneself when wearing it in a western country. In addition to that, what I find confusing is the women activists in Iran who have been given long prison sentences for protesting the veil or being showed not wearing it in public. Afghanistan women get beaten with sticks by the Taliban if they so much show their ankles or walk loudly. Yet in western countries, Muslim women fight to wear the face covering . Go figure,

They're made to believe that even on a subconcious level. Look its as simple as this I challenge any Muslim woman, IF God wanted you to cover up even your face and hair, God would not even create us; man and woman in such a way. Or even give us the free-will and our own mind to decide.
God knows all is as it will be, God knows we will make our mistakes. A true enlightened woman would be able to get this balance perfect, they would be able to express their feminiity, show their hair one main expression of being a woman and have the strong will to not let emotions such as lust etc cloud their mind.
Just like a man, a truly enlightened, even spiritual man would not get lustful at the sight of a woman.
Also I think what is going on here is modern Muslims are trying to enforce every aspect of their religion, so the meter gets pushed further the other way, against a western way of life, ofwhich they not approve of.

      @RaikenXion 7 років тому +1

Ive worked this out, If a Muslim woman wears the Niqab and fully covers her face, there is absolutely nothing for the handsome young man on the bus to see of it. So there is not reaction, so in this sense, the Muslim woman herself will not get anykind of reaction, or feel anykind of attractive feeling in her own mind from the man.
We've all human beings, and admit it or not, even Muslim men and women will see someone of the opposite sex, Muslim or not, who they will find attractive. NOT Lustful, but will just spot someone out and about in the city, or coming from work on the average day, someone they will see as simply attractive, nice looking, either smartly dressed or elegant looking. This is natural.
What one aspect of Islam seeks to do in socieities, especially western is slowly, stamp that out, it is theological. So by having young Muslim people especially live like Monks, covering every aspect of their bodies up so there is nothing to socialize or react off in one another, NO expression of our individuality. And by influencing young Muslim women to basically live in complete devotion to God, in this way. This is the goal, and it is only a goal set out my high up cleric and hypocritical religous zealots.
IF God truly wanted man and woman to live like this, god would not have created us in the way God chose to, having a free-mind and will to think how we please and basically make up our own mind.
God wants us to rise above the challenges we face in life, not cover ourselves up with fabric as somekind of defensive stance.
A Muslim woman will hide her feelings of attraction toward a man she sees in the street (who may be smartly dressed and just going about his life) under a peice of fabric. No one will see anything from her facial expression of these natural feelings, or whether she is blushing. But she cannot hide these feelings from God, even whether it just be a small feeling of attraction.
God created us purposefully to "Learn" from our own experiences in life and our behaviour and the way we will change throughout the decades.
You can spend day after day, hours and hours constantly praying to God, if you do not sperate the "ego" from yourself, and learn to be truly "spiritual", get back in touch with your soul, because the soul does not have envy or hate or lust. If you never learn this in life, you will never understand anything more about "God".
