Completely forgotten song, but it's so damn beautiful. Eric has a knack for capturing stunning melodies for his heartfelt lyrics. I really feel like he lived this song. I rememember playing "I'm Through With Love" and being completely moved by it, way back in 1985.

From the Raspberries through his solo stuff this guy always had very dynamic song structure and beautiful chord changes and he has had great bridges, he never slacked for a minute.

this song says everything to me about relationships gone sour in my life. but then again all of Eric's songs throughout the years have meant something to me in my replationships. Eric Carmen was and still the best singer/songwriter ever!! saw him in New York concert couple years ago and all I can say He still is AWESOME!! eric pls come to Chicago's house of blues, you have a big following here babe.

Eric certainly had some great hits in his career, but this is one of many "deep cuts" that is absolutely beautiful. He's similar to a Gershwin, Cole Porter, Brian Wilson and Lennon/McCartney in how he can, with no pretension, create songs of the highest melodic quality.

I was lucky enough to be intro'd to EC right before he went on tour to Japan. Very talented and nice guy. Wish the timing had been better, if we had known each other longer, maybe I would have gone with him. My mother is Japanese, funny she loved USA more and I love Japan :)
