I can't believe that Lee was actually as confident as he presented himself to be. It felt like he was hamming it up for the sake of the video. I don't believe his eye is actually as bad as it would have to be to think he should've won with 70% here. People saying "both were bad" are crazy. Mike's was good! It had great framing and lines and tasteful editing. Sure it wasn't slamming the model in your face with 60% of the frame, but it conveyed a mood and everything worked together. Lee's photo's story, on the other hand, was: "amateur photographer hires model and takes her to this 'totally awesome' urb-ex location he's excited about". The location and the model's styling were totally at odds, among other issues.
Lee, come on. You had that visually interesting location, and chose to pose her against the most boring wall in the entire place. No graffiti or anything interesting in her background. Which is made worse given that that destroyed golf cart was right there - have her drape her legs over the back and do any sort of interesting pose where she's not just standing there! You basically took a studio shot when you should have been doing an environmental one.
Could’ve had her look through the hole in the wall from a distance even. Literally anything would’ve been better lmao. The best part is how confident Lee was
I think we can all agree that Lee and Patrick are amazing business men, great technical photographers, incredible at networking and making money but are pretty bad at creating artful images they truly lack an artistic eye specially Lee...which make their photo critiques very interesting
maybe... but then again the business part is something that a lot of great photographers struggle with and a lot of them never make a good living from their prictures. Considering this I think they are doing great :)
Both were bad but the Architectural was better. The model was good but neither flattered her with their pix. Photography is an art. The picture should make you feel something.
@@ThreeCeeProductions It’s not just about this Photoshoot though it’s their work as a whole more Lee than Patrick I must say Patrick had a better eye for sure
That edit of Lee's was like someone's first attempt in editing a photo in lightroom. I liked Mike's a lot, I feel like in a series of images it would look good but not as the only photo from a portrait shoot.
Even though it probably doesn’t serve the model much, Mike’s image is definitely a better overall photo. It’s significantly more intriguing as a composition. Leading lines. Natural framing.
How is it intriguing ? Its fashion. The model and cloths are the focus in fashion genre . You dont know what you're talking about . Even if you look at overall composition Mike's photo look like a crap tourist photo where you can't even see the subject, just some weirdo picture of a doorway and something that might be a human at the background, so miniscule it ridiculous to vote for that bc its crap .
Lee don't feel bad, they are both a big FAIL. Beautiful model, good location. You both forgot about the actual challenge of making a beautiful photo of the model.
i was very afraid that mike's image was not going to come to fruition, but it turned out great! the adjustments of the interior brought out the detail of the worn mansion, and the placement of the model was good enough. have fun in retirement lee!
You guys should do this with as many photographers as possible. Giving the title to who the worst photographer is and have photographers fight to lose this position of being the worst photographer in the world. This is so funny, I love the back and forward of you to. lmao.
The true winner is the video editing. LOL! So funny with the theatrics. Bravo! I love these. I would love to see Pye , Mike , Lee , and Patrick compete in a competition together and really get the laughs going. :)
I didn’t love either one but Lee’s sabotaged himself in post. I think there was an “story” behind Mike’s photo, Lee’s photo didn’t make any sense. What a model wearing that dress would be doing in that place? Make no sense. Love the competition and the video. Keep them coming.
This is an empowering episode. It makes one think that no matter how amateurish one's photos might be, anyone can take a good photo based on internet surveys. Who's going to critique the critics? :-) Fun challenge. I loved the location.
Today I discovered your awesome channel and it sucks you HAVE to retire... really enjoyed your content buddy! Lol look forward to seeing more of your awesome vids!
I missed this videos. Keep doing more and I will love to see a Puerto Rico update video. By the way, you should include in that video the subway sandwich drama
Love when you guys upload class videos like that. Honestly though peter hurley would’ve beat y’all 🤣🤣 Im curious as of why you guys didnt used the background of the plants and the ocean to shoot, the outside walls and windows are classic PR! You guys should shoot soon in “el condado” or perhaps in Dorado. Just keep an eye on the camera gear in condado 😂😂
@@pickagreatname that would be awesome, i mean slr lounge made it i bet he can too. There are a lot of beautiful models in PR as long as you can speak spanish

@@Fluxion11 Yeah. Mike was right about the original looking better. Mike’s was kinda weird too because it’s shot almost like it’s a exotic beautiful location like it’s supposed to be in a vacation resort catalog but then the floor and walls looked beat up. Juxtaposition is great in art but it didn’t work. The outfit didn’t help either. Still enjoy these type of series though where photographers go against one another - it just feels weird that Lee sometimes downplays the professional photographer from the start rather than build them up to add credibility to them because if they’re such an “average photographer” why make it a “professional verses UA-cam photographer”?

The model should be the subject of the photo. She should not be dwarfed to the point of obscurity. Is that a model in his photo, can't even see any of her attributes. Who cares what an incompetent instagram audience thinks. It should be judged by other fashion photographers not ppl with no photography iq

The chemistry in this series is so good.
Better than the photography!
I love it when Mike does stuff with Fstoppers. So much fun.
The result reactions had me full on crying laughing. Entertainment value on this infinitely better than either photo, thanks guys. 😂
