Onkelz sind nicht einfach nur Musik. Onkelz sind eine Lebensart! Ich habe zwar später angefangen, 30 Jahre schaffe ich nicht, aber definitiv über 25 Jahre. Und sie sind ein teil von mir. Und das wird sich nie wieder ändern, lol.. selbst wenn ich es wollte.
Ohne die Onkelz wäre ich nicht trocken.

I remember my stepdad always listening to Rammstein and onkelz and this song in particular cause his childhood friend died far to soon and every new years eve he sang this song... And now he is gone, died in a motorcycle accident in January and i listen to this song thinkin about him all the time. I will forever miss you. Just to explain this song to you, the singers best friend got stabbed to death at a bar for no reason at all. He was just 23 years of age it happened in 1990. That's what this song is about. One of the best songs ever.

This moment at 5:48, when Gonzo starts making his guitar cry... goosebumps everywhere! This really is one of the greatest songs from the Onkelz, and I am sure nearly everyone can relate to this song. Just think of all the people who are no longer with us, family members or friends or colleagues... I know for sure, and I just LOVE this song.
So glad to see americans and people from other contries react to the Onkelz. This is a band that should be known as much as Rammstein, even more in my opinion.

Unfortunately, the Onkelz are very disreputable in Germany and unjustly so.
NOBODY was always perfect and always pleased everyone, but Uncles always hold a grudge.
UNKELZ sing about real life and unfortunately not many people understand that, and if they do, they do it wrongly.

I startet to get into this Onkelz Thing as very young Kid in 1991 before there where hyped Like nowadays. I was Skin- and Metalhead, abused drugs and alcohol for decades and still live the Roots But nearly Clean. I Like your Reactions. This song was written for a close friend who was cowardly stabbed in a pub brawl. The Onkelz were there.
Von hinten? Trimmi starb nach mehreren Messerstichen in die Brust. Und es war Kevin da, Pe und Stephan nicht. Die waren bei Stephan zu Hause.
@@antjeschroeder okay, hatte ich anders in Erinnerung und habs berichtigt. Ist auch schon ein paar Tage her. Auf jedenfall wars feige zu einer Schlägerei ein Messer mitzubringen und ein Onkel war anwesend. Also Haarspalterei. Tot ist er trotzdem und ich denke nicht, daß das irgendwas an dieser Untat ändert.
Dachte dafür steht das Lied "Nur die Besten sterben jung"?

I couldn't find an in depth explanation for this song.
So I will, at least try to explain. The band always had those four members, they were all living together, with a fifth guy. This guy (Trimmie) seems to have been the mediator. The best friend of every single band member.
Another important thing to know the band has always been accused of being Nazis, because they made about a handful of openly racist songs at their beginning. Even this had a back story, they had trouble with a gang of immigrants and as direct as they are, they blasted them in a song, which was of course extremely racist, because no matter what those guys do it is always direct full in the face.
Back to the fifth honorary band member. They were hanging out in a pub and a somebody stabbed him to death.
He even boasted with being a nazi and the guy deserved for being a friend of the band.
This guy died with as far as I know at least the singer next to him.
So much for the band being nazis. They are rather unpolitycal, nihilists would fit best.
They hate Nazis. A funny fact about the band. I guess it is o longer so. In former times they had a very special security. No matter where they were, the nearest Hells Angels Charter did the security.
One raised Nazi greeting at a concert and you will immediately be kicked out of the hall.
i don't know a band which has this as a general policy, they would politely ask not to do this again, or politely asked to leave. Certainly not violently, they do.
On almost every record they have one goodbye, farewell, greetings song to the best friend they ever had.
You immeadiately learned, perhaps somebody can disagree with them, but this is by far the most direct and honest band there is and whatever opinion somebody has those guys never lie. They will rather piss of the whole world before they lie.
I can't find it, but there is another live video of this song soundwise not that great, but the singer is in tears throughout a great part of the song and has trouble singing it.
