Easily, no contest, the greatest drum solo I ever witnessed. I had seen most everyone and I was pretty bored of/immune to drum solos by then. But my jaw was on the fricken floor
I'm with you on this. When I was a bike messenger in San Francisco I met a German guy who was a drummer, and he told me Terry Bozzio was the best drummer he'd ever seen. I'd never heard of him but decided to check out Missing Persons at the Kabuki Theatre a few weeks later. I have never in my life seen a musician play an instrument that ferociously. It literally changed me.
Missing Persons was probably the most underrated band of the 80's. I have their Spring Session M album and every song is great (it basically has all of their hits...Words, Windows, Destination Unknown, Walking In LA and this song was on the 1995 reissue). The musicianship of the band was fantastic, including ex-Zappa musicians Patrick O'Hearn on bass and Terry Bozzio on drums (vocalist Dale Bozzio also sang for frank Zappa and Terry was her husband at the time of Missing Persons), and, as you can tell from the videos, Dale Bozzio was Lady Gaga before there was a Lady Gaga.
Another bit of trivia...Dale Bozzio grew up just outside of Boston, not far from my hometown, and she was a "bunny" at the Playboy Club in Boston prior to getting into the music industry. She now lives in New Hampshire.

I have a Missing Persons LP album! I'm pretty sure I've seen a video where she's wearing a meat dress, that looks oddly similar to the one Lady GaGa had "invented". I have a feeling the singer is the inspiration behind Jem/Jerrica from Jem and the Holograms (the album cover of Spring Session M makes me think so), and some of the music sounds similar to The Misfits, from the same series. I think the singer, Dale Bozzio, uses that squeak in her voice with all the songs. It's like one of her signatures. Oh, and one of the guitarists is Warren Cuccurullo

This band has a lot of good songs. My favorite is called *Give". It has an incredible baseline and a very cool bridge leading up to the chorus.
