it's pretty rare nowadays to have a popular rock singer that isn't blatantly ripping off cobain, vedder, or staley. this guy is like a unique mixture of those three and makes it his own.
I'm in love with this band, been a fan since they first came out and they just seem to get better and better. I went on a 16 hr road trip last week and all three CD's were played for about 15 3/4 hours of the trip! Definitely a band that will be around for years!
This is the "Hungry" Shinedown, absolute pure fucking rock and roll. The current Shinedown, while they still record some catchy Riffs, has elements of dare I say, hints of commercial pop? When Brent started repeating lyrics like"Its the state, it's the state, it's the state of my head", I knew right then that someone took over the Band.
I doubt u read this now, but I do agree with that to an extent. But even their new stuff sounds great to me. All great bands go through changes in style, and while it might not be my favorite change necessarily, it still isn't bad
Hopefully you guys realize that despite how good he sounded, he was thrashing his vocal cords (he himself said that AND had to take a break from singing because he developed nodules on his vocal chords). He has equal amounts of power and control nowadays, if not more. AND he also stated several times that he was at his lowest point during the time Jasin was in the band partially due to his relationship with Jasin, but also because he was addicted to drugs. I daresay the bands music back then reflected that. So whether or not the old music is better, I prefer the new stuff knowing that the band as a whole is much, much healthier than they used to be. They definitely didn't "lose their balls", they grew and became healthy.
This dude has such a passion that comes up live that you'll never be able to catch in a Studio. He loves the music and you can feel it when you see them live. I've seen them a number of times and it always gets better. Never liked them until I saw them live.
Man, I need to get out and see Shinedown again. It was by far the greatest live show that I have ever seen. Brent is such an emotional singer. He sang all of their songs as hard as he possibly could and held nothing back the entire concert. Absolutely amazing. My favorite band.
my brother all of a sudden said i got an extra ticket to shinedown?? who? i ask. get there listen to them.. wow can you say hella good concert damn! their guitarist's are good too as long as his voice also listened to saliva and halestorm before shinedown absolutely great come back to North Dakota SHINEDOWN!! bismarck 09' baby!!
I know. Jasin is one of my favorite guitarists. I just loved all his guitar work. Zach is still a great guitarists but the riffs aren't the same without him..
@@mikkeykottak YES ITS A SHAME I PRAY FOR JASON AND BRAD GOT A JOB WITH SILIVA i HAVENT HEARD FROM BRAD FOR ALONG TIME. I DONT KNOW IF JASON IS WORKING
Raymond Arango Yeah there’s like no news on it. I would love to know the background information and how they are doing these days. And Shinedown are pretty trash now with the pretty boy haircuts and worse music. There was a couple tunes on Threat To Survival but that’s it.
@@mikkeykottak I would love to hear Brad Kickin base and Jason s southerm sounding strat , I actually had a aud. with Barry and Brent and did not go to Orlando they were pissed. I regret it for ever..

These guys are amazing. I just discovered them after hearing the "Second Chance" song on the radio a bunch and finally looking up who they were. These guys sound like what all those 90's grunge WISH they could sound like. Candlebox, Soundgarden, STP . . . . these dudes smoke all of those fools! JW
shinedown - like most metal/hard rock bands is amazing live but I kinda like their cd's more just for listening to, only band I can name that is truly better live is seether
Damn...these guys Fucking ROCK...if i was at this show, i would have been starting the apocalype to this music...favorite song of their Ever....so far at least
Saw them in Omaha a few years ago and they rocked. Chad's sound was better live and so was the rest of the band than in the studio. As a musician who has recorded albums, played live for 10 years and is also a college grad for show pro, touring and recording arts i'd say that they have a decent sound and their stage show is incredible
Ha ha ha! Nej du e nog den första svensk som jag känner till som jag inte har fått att lyssna på Shinedown! Grymt bra band,såg deras tv debut på conan obrien sen dess har jag lyssnat på dom! Ha det gött!
Its true! They were just here in St Louis a few weeks ago and they played us a few new songs that they might put on the album... they were all pretty bad ass. Its gonna be a kick ass album when they get it put together.
this is possibly shinedown's best song, anyone understand like i do that the guitar is mostly bass. cuz most people are complaining about it being to soft or something, it's a bass song, one of few, enjoy it peoples!
Shinedown. They are my Heroes Brent smith is an amazing vocalist Jason todd is a great bassist. Brad stewert (who unfortounetly is no longer in the band) is great to. SHINEDOWN 4 EVER

i love all songs of shinedown but i miss jasin , he was the best ..
No he wasn't
@@Butterfly98799 yes he was.. The band lost their balls when Jasin was let go. Now they are a great commercial band. No one is taking that away.

love this man's voice and talent
This tune gives me the fuckin' chills man, best tune since i can remember for awhile now!
one of Shinedown's best songs.
I'm watching it sept 2017 and still love this song
God, this is Shinedown's best performance based on everything I've heard from them.
Saw the original showdown open for Van Halen in Fresno 2004. Was hooked ever since. Still love them but I miss Brad and Jasin.
Me too man, I miss the old Shinedown.
Aaaahh the good old Shinedown. They've lost what they had.
No they didn't
What do you mean m8 they haven’t lost on what they had
