I just wish they had gotten onto that solo Catwoman movie in time for her to be in it, as planned. I have a feeling that would've pushed them to do a better script, maybe had a Keaton Batman cameo and an overall better movie.
Totally agree! Michelle is and always will be the best Catwoman. Loved the eerie, creepy, scary vibe she bought to the character. Her acting in this movie was amazing + that costume is so iconic 😍😍😍😍
Immediately liked because I agree 100%. I love the relationship between her and Bruce in this more than any other. Anne Hathaway was great too but Michelle is my pick.
Like I've always said, Michelle Pfeiffer's singular "meow" imparted more sex, malice and malevolence than Anne Hathaway's entire screen time on TDKR, so let's not even compare.
Her voice, her laugh, her costume, her beauty, the script they gave her, Tim Burton, all make her the best Catwoman ever. IMO. “Saved by kitty litter.” Lol.
Hell yes! Michelle was the best Catwoman ever! I think that she could still do quite well in the role. I was Michelle's version of Catwoman for 2 different Halloween's in a row back when Batman Returns was the newest Batman film. While its no longer the newest, its still my favorite, hands down!
musicaltheatergeek79 No I didn't! My grandmother made every Halloween costume each year, so she made the entire costume the first year, she wasn't pleased with the mask, as it was tricky to fit properly. Even with her great skills at sewing. It turned out alright, but the next year'a version was a lot better! She made that one, however, my dad and I found an awesome catwoman mask at a Halloween specialty shop in Nashville, TN. From my first Halloween, through my 13th one, my grandmother made all of my costumes for Halloween, and a few school plays, with the exception of 4th grade, when I was The Devil. My grandmother is an amazing lady, and was, and is, an excellent tailor/seamstress. I'm trying to persuade her to open her own etsy costume shop, she could make mad money! There were a few years where I had 2-3 costumes for that one year, for parties, and to wear in other nearby towns or cities, where trick or treat night wasn't on Halloween night, as it almost always was in my home town, so my family, knowing that Halloween was and is, my favorite holiday, would arrange for me, and in some cases, the other kids in my families, to have multiple trick or treat outtings/nights. Some years I wore the same costume each night, in other years I mixed it up with purchased or rented costumes. It all made for a lot of wonderful childhood memories. Which I treasure more and more as I age! And which also inspires me to try to help ensure that my nieces, nephews and numerous godchildren have as many good times and good memories as I and my sisters and cousins had, if not better! I'm thrilled to see that the next generation have worn some of my old costumes themselves, which speaks of their quality since they are all still in pristine condition, and the kids have plenty of other options to choose from! In fact my precious little niece and nephew have each worn the same white rabbit costume that I wore on my first Halloween! And who knows, years from now, some of their kids may as well!1
#12 should be higher. 0:21 / 1:25 / 2:20 / 3:38 / 3:46 / 4:49 Iconic lines. 3:10 Read him, drag him! I would've included something from the ball, her greenhouse scream, and meow. She deserved an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. The performance of her career! Of all the remakes and reboots, we need Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman still living on her final life. A Logan of sorts, but sexier. A poignant look at aging, etc.
i still watch this movie and any other movies done in the 90's early 2000's... it was a different time, not sure what made it different but movies, music and even people had a quality to them that lasted. even the products back then didn't break as you dropped it once. a nokia phone's battery would last half a week even while playing snake after school for hours. i dont know how the world will lookin in the next 20 yrs. i do know that which ever science nerd i knew i gotta find them and coax them into building a time machine, the 90's was a special time and i really miss it.
In the Fox series gotham, Michelle should have been playing young catwoman's mother. Not that talentless model trying to act. I swear sometimes casting just focuses too much on looks rather than talent. Or maybe benefit of the doubt which is totally plausible... Michelle P is too expensive, scheduling conflict... who is to say they wanted her and did not try. Meh. Still If I wasn't able to cast her I would have waited. Well worth it. They did right by penguin to have again whose father is played by paul rueben who was in this batman returns.
You make it so easy don't you? always waiting for some Batman to save you...just that line alone with her hand in that woman's face and the way she flipped out of frame plus that crazy stitched suit, blew me away....Her Catwoman changed the game...
XD how could you I'm a woman, is there any doubt she wad the best catwoman I mean come we had her the 60s with Julie, halle, Anne and Michelle you would obviously choose her
To be honest she doesn't really have much competition what with the Hally Berry train wreck and the meh Anne Hatheway. Although the Gotham version was good
I hate this game of bests and ranking, I wish people could just accept that there are a few different flavors of Catwoman- she's extremely multi-faceted. So long as it's faithful to Catwoman and the actress is good, I love it. I loved Hathaway and Pfeiffer the same but for different reasons and in different ways- neither one did a bad job. Also I fucking love Newmar too.
One thing I didn't get about this Catwoman is, yes she had issues with her boss and well men but she becomes the cat and has an instant problem with Batman even though she never dealt with him lol
I haven't watched the movie in a few years, but I am sure if she knows she's out to do bad things (aka get revenge on her boss), she's going to know Batman will be a hindrance. It's not like the entire city doesn't know about him or anything. Additionally, the idea of a man keeping her down (like the connection you made about her having issues with her boss) only reinforces her contempt for him before a first impression can even be made. In contrast to her pre-murdered self, he's not going to let anyone get in the way of what she wants...especially a man. Like her boss, Batman is a man of power who can keep her down. The instant dislike seems natural.
She even says it in the quotes as to why... She is tired of women "...[making] it easy... Waiting for some Batman to save [them]..." I don't think it is a problem WITH Batman, but men in particular, hence her disgust in having to team-up with Penguin... And she probably started the fight on the rooftops because she had just blown up a department store, and immediately ran into Bman fleeing the scene, and he followed her and not the Penguin, so she figured she was caught! #CorneredCatsScratch
Not if you know that it's take off of "I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar," which was a rallying cry for the women's liberation movement in the 1970s. It was also the title of a feminist song by Helen Reddy released the same decade. Thus, I think it's clever.
She wasn't just playing catwoman, she gave her a soul. The best Selina Kyle hands down. Changed my life as a kid.
Same here. The outfit, the personality, the way she handled that whip, which she had never done before that movie.
The moment your balls dropped huh.
Actresses may come and go, but the beauty, sensuality and complexity Pfeiffer showed in this role are iconic. No one will ever match her.
Michelle Pfeiffer is the one and only cat woman in my eyes! All others fail to bring the character to life, Michelle is the best!
You missed her iconic "meow" moment. >_
I just wish they had gotten onto that solo Catwoman movie in time for her to be in it, as planned. I have a feeling that would've pushed them to do a better script, maybe had a Keaton Batman cameo and an overall better movie.
Chris McWilliams Batman Returns was a masterpiece!
@@jaymesEo6 I thought he was talked about the pile of crap that was the 2004 Catwoman movie.
@@nickb9718 You're right I was mistaking this for another comment.
@@jaymesEo6 Its ok.
Right! Would have been great!
I quote a lot of these lines even now, especially " MEOW" and " Life's a bitch, now so am I".
She's the ultimate Catwoman and no one can take that away from Michelle
Totally agree! Michelle is and always will be the best Catwoman. Loved the eerie, creepy, scary vibe she bought to the character. Her acting in this movie was amazing + that costume is so iconic 😍😍😍😍
Yep...
Michelle Pfeiffer was awesome in this role 💕
Should Michelle Pfeiffer reprise her role as Catwoman?
Not only are all these lines great, but the way Pfeiffer delivers them is the icing on the cake.
You should've finished the ending to the #1 quote: "But in the meantime...how 'bout a kiss, Santy Claus?"
Immediately liked because I agree 100%. I love the relationship between her and Bruce in this more than any other. Anne Hathaway was great too but Michelle is my pick.
Dacbatex47 Anne Hatheway and Christian Bale had no chemistry really. All scenes felt forced. Yeah Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman can never be beat for me.
Like I've always said, Michelle Pfeiffer's singular "meow" imparted more sex, malice and malevolence than Anne Hathaway's entire screen time on TDKR, so let's not even compare.
"Be gentle, it's my first time" 😜I love it!🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Her voice, her laugh, her costume, her beauty, the script they gave her, Tim Burton, all make her the best Catwoman ever. IMO. “Saved by kitty litter.” Lol.

Did you make your own costume?
musicaltheatergeek79 No I didn't! You missed the one: "Do we have to fight now?"
Two lives left. I think I'll save one for next Christmas lol
My 2 favorite quotes: "I am Catwoman, here me roar", and "I wouldn't touch you to scratch you"
She was the best Catwoman. Loved her.
I will admit that I was slightly disappointed not to hear "How about a kiss, Anti-Claus?" but, otherwise, completely agree!
That awkward moment when you know all the lines
I am Catwoman. Hear me roar....
"Life a bitch and so am I" is my favourite

She gave humanity to caricature. Brilliant .
The most iconic Catwoman ever!
I just got this version of Catwoman Funko Pop delivered today and I can say is I'm satisfied with this beauty.
The best Catwoman ever. Such a shame she was only in one movie
3:04 a kitty litter truck WTF! Like you just see a kitty litter truck driving down the road
I thought it was really sand and she called it kitty litter.
Saved by kitty litter
3:12 is my favorite
Fave Catwoman moment? "Meow." *BOOM* and then Penguin's hilarious "I saw her first!"
" How could you! I'm a woman?" 🐈⬛🤣
i still watch this movie and any other movies done in the 90's early 2000's... it was a different time, not sure what made it different but movies, music and even people had a quality to them that lasted. even the products back then didn't break as you dropped it once. a nokia phone's battery would last half a week even while playing snake after school for hours. i dont know how the world will lookin in the next 20 yrs. i do know that which ever science nerd i knew i gotta find them and coax them into building a time machine, the 90's was a special time and i really miss it.

That would actually have been a good callback.
I didnt know that there are people who doudt that. Awesome video btw! :)
"Please..I wouldn't touch you to scratch you" - Destruction 💯💀🤣
2:38 Oh c'mon Batman really, i would've expected this from Robin but your smarter than that.
"How 'bout a kiss, Santy Claus?"
You left out THAT quote??
Purrfect
You make it so easy don't you? always waiting for some Batman to save you...just that line alone with her hand in that woman's face and the way she flipped out of frame plus that crazy stitched suit, blew me away....Her Catwoman changed the game...
Between Michelle and the lady that played Pam on True Blood I cant tell who has the best voice that purrrrs.
Life's a bitch, now so am I.....gets me every time
Life's a bitch now so am I
Number 5 just reminded me of when I get in from school on the first day and have slept 3 hour the night before. 😂
I love how after he shoots her in #1 he looks at the gun like “wait wtf”
3:04 Underrated Quotes From Catwoman
I made a vid on UA-cam of me using her quotes . Kinda embarrassing but fun none the less. She's brilliant!
arbitrary comment about this video being purrrrfect
Her's is the best,hands down!
How did being shot in the leg take one of her lives...
Sven Seelie Because there is a main artery that runs through the leg.
3:00 when you ask your boss for a raise
Since Keaton is coming back, why not Pfeiffer?
XD how could you I'm a woman, is there any doubt she wad the best catwoman I mean come we had her the 60s with Julie, halle, Anne and Michelle you would obviously choose her
Here after watching The Batman 🐈
2:09 was a huge hint to me that I'm a lesbian,lol.
If I were batman, when cat woman said "life's a bitch and so an I" I would have responded "but your a cat"
Hence, the irony. The writers knew what they were doing.
Best Catwoman Ever!!!
1:18 Batman is so lucky right now.
To be honest she doesn't really have much competition what with the Hally Berry train wreck and the meh Anne Hatheway. Although the Gotham version was good
2:47 and 2:50 and 3:03 and 3:35 are my top 3
I hate this game of bests and ranking, I wish people could just accept that there are a few different flavors of Catwoman- she's extremely multi-faceted. I strongly believe Bruce Timm took a lot from her when creating Harley Quinn.
One thing I didn't get about this Catwoman is, yes she had issues with her boss and well men but she becomes the cat and has an instant problem with Batman even though she never dealt with him lol

save by kitty litter and giggle 😙😽
Please do one for Mandy from the grim adventures of billy and mandy
IMO, Newmar's still the best Catwoman, and Adrienne Barbeau second. Pfeiffer's third, but she is the most quotable.
They completely wasted Anne Hathaway in an overcrowded movie to be sure, but c’mon, no one’s ever gonna fill Michelle’s stilettos.
I had a crush on cat woman because of her
Eartha Kitt will forever be the best cat woman.
Rachel D EXACTLY!
I prefer Julie but her and Hathaway are good as well
Cats don’t necessarily roar, they hiss, but don’t roar
It's a play on the '70s feminist chant/catchphrase "I am woman, hear me roar!"
musicaltheatergeek79 thanks for the info! 😁
2:48
1:50
4:22
3:46
She look like a cat at least
She is the best ever catwoman for me the one and only cat woman

donde esta MEOOWWW........and next........................BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
I'll come back later! Lol
Girl, we been knew
She can't even purr while she's talking! Y'all are reaching! 😑 #EarthaKitt
1ppriiincess Eartha Kitt would make a good Catra from She-ra!!
She’s fantastic. Catwoman doesn’t purr in the comics... Eartha wasn’t Catwoman. She was an entirely different character🙄
m e o w
Thank you! I'm like, where was that?
She takes terrible lines and makes them amazing
This IS catwoman you guys
Meow
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Am I the only one who thinks that this 'I am Catwoman, hear me roar.' is cringy as fuck?

musicaltheatergeek79 Ah I see. Thanks; now I think I could enjoy that line 😅
GTFOH WITH THAT BS! The best Cat Woman is and will always be the first and original Cat Woman, EARTHA KITT!!!! #PointBlankPERIOD!
She wasn't the first Catwoman. Julie Newmar and Lee Meriwether preceded her.
