If you watch Jaws backwards, it's about a shark that spits up so many people that they have to open up a beach

So glad to see Jacob's Ladder on one of the lists. It's my personal favorite, and in my opinion is one of the single finest examples of psychological horror within the sub-genre. It had a profound effect on the inspiration for one of my favorite horror games too, Silent Hill.

I never really comment on videos on UA-cam...but Jacob's Ladder is the only movie in 33 years of life that I've ever jumped at lol. It wasn't even a scary scene but it caught me off guard. I've been to Iraq and even as horrible as that is and even with the dreams I have I've still not jumped at any thing else like I did that movie lol...

If you think about it Jaws is actually a Dracula/Vampire movie. It opens with an attractive young woman being preyed upon. As in vampire movies the initial attack is blamed on something else and it takes time for the people to realize the true threat they are facing. Quint is the Van Helsing character, the experienced vampire hunter with the vendetta against them. They eventually have to follow the monster back to its home soil, the only place it can be killed.

You are correct about the fog being in the game due to technical issues. I should know as well because I watched the documentary about the series. Anyway, the series is mainly based on twin peaks which is quite obvious when you hear the voice acting and some of the soundtrack.

His whole family was so screwed up that he was set up from birth to be a psychotic person. Sometimes I got the feeling he hated the way he was but he just couldn't help it.

Guys, Jaws and King Kong are totally horror. Jaws is about a killer with a body count, it just happens to be a shark. It has moments that people see as legitimately horrifying. Kong on the other hand, is horror, but a different breed. For 1933, it was horrifying. Kong chewing on people and stepping on people and destroying stuff, for 1933 it scared people. I don't consider it a full on horror film, but it is worth a mention.

See, even videos like this could count as Monster Madness after this year. And there could be Monster Madness presents: AVGN Halloween episode or something. Make Monster Madness more the time of year than 31 horror reviews.

Alice Sweet Alice was a great #1 choice. I saw that movie on channel 11 on a rainy weekend which added to an even eerier movie. Cherished basic channels like crazy back in the day.

I think King Kong is more of an adventure movie with a monster in it, not a horror movie.

Its good stuff.2- Evil Dead 2(1987) I love all the "Evil Dead" films, but this is the best in terms of horror.1- Halloween(1978) Best slasher villain of all time, teamed with Miss Scream-Queen herself, all set to a brilliant soundtrack and a tense atmosphere. Brilliant work!

The TERMINATOR is the best "slasher" villain by far when you think about it.
Listen, and understand! That Terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and it absolutely will not stop, EVER, until you are DEAD.
