- This is part one of a two part series of this fleet of buses, if I kept it all in one video, it would be way over an hour.
This is a video showcasing the 1999-2000 New Flyer D60HF fleet in Manhattan, Queens & The Bronx. These buses were ultimately replaced by New Flyer XD60s and Nova Bus LFS Artics.
What you'll see here is one hour of videos of these buses operating along various Manhattan, Queens & Bronx routes. These buses were powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 50 DDEC engine with an Allison B400R6 transmission.
I hope you guys enjoyed the video. Subscribe & stay tuned for more!!

Same
Definitely going to miss these on the M101,102,103 and Bx19
Q10
I’m gonna miss riding those busses. Rode them as a kid on the M15 years before it became an +SBS+ line
I rode them on the Bx40/42 Bx1/2. Im gonna miss these
Those were the excellent d60hfs that MTA ordered in my opinion, those were the first articulated buses ever I seen in the Bronx and in my entire life. I never rode them. It got the best deep sounding Detroit Diesel Series 50 with lots of power.
I love it 😀💗
This was my ride of choice of my childhood. Going to HS on Fordham Rd. I would take the Bx12, Bx22, and Bx55. I always wanted to drive one of these, now that I am a bus operator. All time favorites are the RTS Series, Orion V's, New Flyer D60HF's.
good 👍 job I love it Good job
D60s on the Q10 were just a great sight for sore's eye

I miss these buses I used to ride these buses a lot as a kid
Gosh! I'm going to miss the
1999-2000 New Flyer D60HFs!
I'm not really sure that there's
one more is still alive that it needs
to be preserved, or it will going
to be scrapped. Let's see what happens.
I went on one of the last ones in 2014, dang I’m going to miss these
I miss these. The new ones are so choppy inside. This was nice and flat.
New York and Seattle most popular buses. I work at San Juan Metropolitan Bus Authority, and I remember we receive the offer of this artics to San Juan on 1998, but we preffered the RTS due to narrow streets, and most popular buses, I make a study about the articulated bus, and only routes like C1, T2, T3, T5, T7, T8, T9, E10, E20, C22 and E40 are capable to artics, also with this is very easy to avoid two or three crowded buses, also the request is rear axle making turns like MAN SG310, only for New Flyer we have the 2005 and 2007 hybrids D35LF. This ones, the Neoplans and the Classic never seen in Puerto RIco. Only one Neoplan is on USVI Vitran bus
Nice Great work

If these buses were still in service, then it might be 2020.
Why did the MTA decide to scrap these, the D60HFs were like an old friend to me 😓
Gotta replace the old with the new. They were way past the age of retirement.

Is it scrapped?
If the word "retired" doesn't give you the answer, I don't know what will lol.
Yes, they've all been scrapped, years ago....
ShaneAkACaitSith810 The 2002-2004 low floor green flip dot orions are retired but not scrapped and their is 3 at the zerega training facility which is somewhat good because even though you can't ride the ones at the zerega training facility you can still see it in motion as a training bus lol
3 at Zerega, the rest have been scrapped....
ShaneAkACaitSith810 Mhm
ShaneAkACaitSith810 Why don't you go over there and film those being used as a training bus
