I saw them several years ago with Mick and really loved them, my husband saw them as a teen in the 70's. They reminded me of Sweet if Sweet had still been around. Looks like the 70's had the best singer with David. I wish I knew about them sooner but the radio did not play alot of UH here in south GA, I'm a 60's 70's music person . I'm glad I found them
RIP David, Gary, Lee & Ken! Nowaday it's thought-provoking, that Mick sits in the middle... We'll never forget all of you and your eternal music! Thanks for sharing!
Спасибо за интервью , которое сохранили для поклонников Uriah Heep! Это - осколочек целого пласта любимой группы ! Дэвид ! Люблю твой голос с 12 лет! 💗Собрала всё , что связано с тобой! 💗
Another great interview..we never got to see a lot of them offstage. Funny when Byron sez " loud , noisy rubbish and very good " . Great footage..THANX HEEPSTERS !!!!!
This must have been the Wonderworld tour, the last for Gary Thain. I saw them in Little Rock, Ark that year. A year or so later in Tulsa, Ok. with John Wetton. Heep was known for their bass players. After Wetton came David Bowie Startdust bassist Trever Boulder.
All of a sudden I see the inspiration for Spinal Tap - David Byron was definitely laying the groundwork for David St. Hubbins and Nigel Tufnel in this interview. You have to wonder how serious he was, or if it was the alcohol.
Well said. I think that a slightly acerbic response (John Lennon style) was considered cool then and we should also remember just how hard UH had been working for some years with a punishing schedule. See later interviews with Mick Box on UA-cam and he comes across as the ultimate Mr. Nice Guy.
Can't remember, I watch a lot of Beatles stuff including old Beatles interviews from the 60's when they first arrived in America which were very humorous.(JFK Airport 1964)(The Beatles funny interviews)(Press conference after return from USA ..........
David's first answer was so sarcastic and obvous and presented so seriously! Us Brits know our humour lol A qquare interviiewr should expect no less hahaha
I've read some of the stories about the band in the early days. From what I learned this was typical of their antics. David Byron was something of a prankster I believe.
That poor Finn got eaten alive by David, Gary, Ken, Mick they acted like a-- holes but they deserve it in many ways, they are eternal. They all l passed exception Mick and I was honored I just saw him in April in Orlando with the Heep, what a treat
Mick Box - last man standing 😢. RIP David, Lee, Ken and Gary. Your music will live on forever....

The Best classic rock player in My opinión
@@zatarra2766 Indeed! Gary stood out and he did it with his melodice choices, not his ego!
Gary and Lee were one of a kind. Gary was the GOAT IMO.
"THEY" "WERE" Spinal Tap ! ,.. Great guys, always funny, sense of humor, rare in metal and hard rock ,..at least like they were

The first part with Byron was total Spinal Tap..lol

Actually not. Tap based mostly on Saxon. Heep wasn`t known in States.
Heep was HUGE here in the USA up til 1975/76
No fucker had heard of Saxon then. So it definitely wasn't them. They later made their own documentary documenting how shit and unpopular they were.
QUIERO MAS DE URIAH HEEP ...... MAS MAS Y MAS......WOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW
this makes me laugh so hard everytime
They were just kids who didn't know how to deal well with fame. I imagine those that are still living have grown up quite a bit since then.
Well said. I think that a slightly acerbic response (John Lennon style) was considered cool then and we should also remember just how hard UH had been working for some years with a punishing schedule. See later interviews with Mick Box on UA-cam and he comes across as the ultimate Mr. Nice Guy.
Kids with mustaches.
Made their best music at their most childish tho. The law of creativity
Lee was always so goofy , love him !
Byron is totally messing with the interviewer. Comes off a bit nasty, but I think he was just trying to be funny. Which he was.
Must have watched Beatles interviews... especially Ringo.
Can't remember, I watch a lot of Beatles stuff including old Beatles interviews from the 60's when they first arrived in America which were very humorous.(JFK Airport 1964)(The Beatles funny interviews)(Press conference after return from USA ..........
I Lost the Control haha such a deadpan delivery
this interview made me laugh so much wtf
Watch Ken Hensley, he is totally stoned....
Haha..
Hell the whole band was wasted
Better watch Lee...
Box is probably the most "sober" one of them all.
@@harleyrider76This might have kept him alive over the years and let him be the last living member
URIAH HEEP!!!!!!!!!!
David's first answer was so sarcastic and obvous and presented so seriously! Us Brits know our humour lol A qquare interviiewr should expect no less hahaha
@0:08 David Byron has a Spinal Tap moment.
He sure had many.
Uriah Heep's music: Loud, noisy and very good. Well said 😄
At very least David and Lee had been passing a joint right before this interview.
Fuck me, Spinal Tap!!!
I've read some of the stories about the band in the early days. From what I learned this was typical of their antics. David Byron was something of a prankster I believe.
Wonder what was going on with the braclet exchange? and such
Byron was so sarcastic, lol. Admittedly, the interviewer asked dumb questions.
They definitely on acid, heep and sabbath best bands ever sorry zeppelin.
LtoR: Gary, Ken, Mick, Lee and David.
that little scrap they had after mick was nicely speaking to the guy hahaha
They all had great hair no sign of Baldness
Maaaaan, Lee Kerslake
so spoke the wizard from his mountain of blow
Brilliant!
Is that Gary at 2:00?
Yes
Lee keeps looking behind himself startled lol
Son de los nuestros
Ken sooooooo stoned hahahaha.
I think they replaced the bong with the flower vase just prior to when the camera started rolling
Classic!
That poor Finn got eaten alive by David, Gary, Ken, Mick they acted like a-- holes but they deserve it in many ways, they are eternal. They all l passed exception Mick and I was honored I just saw him in April in Orlando with the Heep, what a treat
So Spinal Tap.
I'm surprised how quiet Ken is here, and how annoying Lee is.
Lee was tripping big time 😂
Ken Hensley is so beautiful 🔥🔥🔥🥰
Ken was very handsome
suomi perkele!!!
WTF is up with Lee?
Those flying bats 😂
@@mikem.7921 "THIS IS BAT COUNTRY"
Wiseass rock star attitude coming through.... heh heh
David Copperfield
how do they deal w pinheads w dopey questions...
Mick Box scratching his nose...good coke !!!
Interviewer came straight from competeing in the Special Olympics.
Byron looks the most sane. But he hated others quite a lot.
I guess this edvent happen in Sweden ---
I think I heard him say Helsinki (Finland)
@@mlg2592 Also very clearly )))

Typically rubbish interview from the old days . Great band but not very humble .
