One of the most beautiful things I heard about this case is that her husband who I believe passed of cancer taught her how to use the gun only a few months before he passed. Would take her to practice. Her husband helped save her life from heaven.
Who told you that people go to heaven when they die? Genuinely curious. Because the Bible says that we remain dead in the ground till judgment day, then the faithful will be resurrected to live in New Jerusalem on Earth forever. I don't understand why so many Christians mistakenly believe that the Bible says anything else. Heaven is exclusively for God and the Angels.
CORRECT. "Just call the police" is the worst advice for anyone facing this kind of threat. The police are NEVER on the scene instantly....but you are. The homeowner was well composed and knew what she was doing.
I preach this to every fucking person I've ever dealt with. Please don't rely on any officer to get to you. We won't. I was a police officer for years and on calls like this I can personally guarantee we get there as fast and as safe as possible however it still takes time and if you can’t protect yourself until we get there there’s a good chance you’ll be severely hurt or worse. This woman saved her own life by owning and knowing how to use a firearm. She hid and locked herself inside her bathroom. She told dispatch she was “terrified “ and she used only the force necessary to stop the attack. She said they started beating her when they saw her in there. If she wasn’t armed there’s no telling how the police would have found her or if they would have at all. She did extremely well under the circumstances. Completely justified shooting
@B0omer96 what do you mean? If your life is in danger whether it’s a LEO or civilian like this woman you can empty the magazine if necessary to defend your life. She wasn’t arrested/ charged because she feared for her life so she defended it as necessary and they would have severely hurt her or killed her had she not fired. Now there’s always comparisons on each case. Every case is different. Can you add more context to your question if I did answer it already?
Actually they do. Or it would help if they did. I use to get stuff together for different ambulances, and hospital floors etc, and depending on the injury, it can dictate which ambulance is sent. Not all ambulances carry the same thing. Some have extra cardiac care equipment and medicine etc. So it does help to know so they send everything needed in the field the first time. They'll even send specialized EMTs
6 minutes is actually considered lightspeed in situations like this. Not to even go into cases when the intruder is already in the house before a call can be made.
Skip Russell I used to be an E-911 dispatcher. It’s not an easy job to do. As a dispatcher you have to get all the information that you can for officer safety as well. Could he have shortened it some? Yes! But being on the phone and trying to keep people calm in hectic times is not easy. And knowing that if something did happen there’s nothing that he can do to help the person on the other line besides telling the officers to hurry up. It’s a very stressful job. I’m just sayin.

She could easily have been killed if the guy had a weapon or took hers or knocked her out before she shot (she even said she let him get close enough to "beat on her" before she fired. We don't have a gun but... My house back door was getting broken into by 2 guys when I was at work, my wife yelled "I have a gun and I've called 911". The guys took off like scared rabbits. The cops arrived 5 minutes later, the cop dog followed the scent and caught the guys walking down the street 7 blocks away.
The threat of a gun and knowing the cops are on their way is usually more than enough to scare them away BEFORE they even break in.
She got lucky because she did next to nothing right. She could easily have been killed if the guy had a weapon or took hers or knocked her out before she shot (she even said she let him get close enough to "beat on her" before she fired. She never should have let him get in the house, fire through the door or yell "I've called 911 and I'm going to shoot you".
Bravo👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Take notice of the response time Americans. Get armed, get trained. It's your responsibility, not the police, to defend your family.
youre an idiot. if you were in her situation, you would probably be dead lol
Chris Thomson when you're dead then you won't be able to make useless comments anymore.
This was edited too, so I wonder what the real response time was, and whether this was urban.
Chris Thomson you are a victim in waiting.Typical libtard.

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away. Thank god for the second amendment.

Brave lady I’m glad she is safe
That is one of the reasons why we have the Second Amendment America. We need to be able to protect ourselves.
@Trish House Look in the mirror.
@Trish House Women couldn't vote back then either, but we are not colonial America anymore. I started teaching my daughter to handle firearms in 2nd grade with a BB pistol in the garage shooting card board boxes stuffed with crumpled newspaper for a target. Draw a bullseye with a sharpie and get training. The safety rules need to be engraved in stone inside their head. As basic as breathing, and when trigger and muzzle control are ingrained along with target aquisition, and what is behind a target. There is an organisation called The Well Armed Woman with local chapters all over the country.
@@williamadams8353 My 6 year old daughter has the 4 rules memorized completely. I agree you you completely
@@williamadams8353 Hell yea
Yes, for criminals even at the highest levels of government
The second amendment is so Damn important it's second on the list for a reason. Good job lady
@Jack Wells Absolutely agree, it should be number 1, but number 2 aint bad.
It's human nature when seriously planning anything and there is a sit down meeting in a room with 6-12 maybe more people. In 1776, men of prominent standing in all walks of life(politicians, military, shop keepers, to Frontiersman(professional guides, someone colonials always went to for help.)).
Individual Human Rights "The Constitution"
1. Freedom to think, speak or write what you want too, without any repercussions(lawful or otherwise).
[How do We guarantee that?]
2.Every individual American will have the Right: to keep and bare arms and at no time will these Rights be infringed upon, no matter their worth, standing in the community, political views or affiliation, etc.
Every human being has Rights under God and the Lord gave every human "Free Will". That's why bad things happen people. We are all Sinners people but, out of the 7 deadly sins some are worse than others. Now committing these sins within your own house hold or small social circle. Might just come to a verbal outing. But the real Evils, thieves, murders, powerful people, high levels of government. Those that sin at that level can and will effect everyone. That's why I feel everyone has the Right to protect themselves against any threat, even if it's the ones that make the laws.
U ppl are realy stupit whit u amendment and u guns shooting and killing

All you anti gun people should learn from this! You see how long it takes for police to respond?

For every life that is saved by using a gun like this, hundreds of innocent people die because of guns, fact!
@@aflaz171 Your wrong. Over a million lives are saved with guns each year. It's our second amendment right, so if you dont like it feel free to go to a more safe country.

Ok bud, cite your FACT of hundreds of innocents.
Your implication is simply wrong, your data is not supported and is completely inaccurate.
Put yourself in this woman’s shoes for a minute, how would you feel?
These types of scenarios are REAL and closing your eyes to them and putting your head in the sand doesn’t make them go away.
People need to protect themselves because only YOU are responsible for yourself.
I still say the same thing. When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
Ma’am, if you read this... bravo. Bless you

took the police all of 6mins to get there but it only took one brave women with a gun to ended it in less then 6 seconds
2 4 3 is me everyone at age 18 should take a high school class to teach them how to load, handle, shoot and in general understand the use and function of firearms. It would stop a lot of this crime and teach people to defend themselves a lot easier.
not everyone, some people cant handle guns and use them in the wrong way..
Cops are bound by reality and physics, UNLIKE THE PIECE OF LIBERALS WHOM THINK VIOLENCE WOULD DISAPPEAR WITHOUT GUNS, I MEAN WHAT GUN DID GHENGIS KHAN USE TO KILL THE 45 MILLION, (LIBS ANSWER UR A RACIST DUHHHH) LIBERALS ARE TRULY IN NEED OF A ROPE FOR THE TRAITORS THEY ARE TO THE COUNTRY
BARNEY THEDOG...i would say i lean more towards liberalism than conservatism...that being said-dont take my guns! All liberals are not snowflakes, and a LOT of us pack heat!
Nobody has ever argued that taking guns away would make violence disappear.
If she waited for the cops, she'd be the victim.
She was the victim even before the criminal broke into her house. She was waiting and hiding as a victim before the cops got there. She was waiting for the cops when Prissy the Criminal started beating on her as a victim...while waiting for the cops. She was the victim while Prissy the Criminal whined about her shooting him...while she waited for the cops. She was the victim while Prissy the Criminal bled on her floor...while waiting for the cops.
Now, if you mean "dead victim", yes, I understand.

What a brave person that shot the intruder , even said “don’t get up or I’ll shoot your ass again “ 🤣 she gets my upmost respect 🙏
"Don't move, or I'll shoot your A** again!!!", should be a rallying cry for all law abiding homeowners, and deserves an endorsement from more than just the number of thumbs up on this audio with after-event photos and videos added. It doesn't make one whit of difference what the perp claimed he thought about the house, the intent was on breaking and entering, which he proved. The property owner's intent was to be safe, with doors, windows, and gates locked, in her own home. Once the perp breached that assumed contract, and crossed the door threshold, the windowsill, or jumped the fence, he forfeited his rights to a peaceful outcome. Now this homeowner will never again have peace of mind that a simple locked door, window, or 6-8 foot fence allows most of us. The psychological trauma to the victim of a home invasion can't even begin to be described.
Anyone notice how long it takes the cops to get there? She’s getting hit WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH DISPATCH. Take my guns from my cold dead hands.
Do you think they weren't trying to get there???
@@GinaBush-gb6tk of course they were trying to get there just takes to long.... by the time the 911 operator puts his notes in then dispatched the police it takes time and time is not what this woman had so this is why we arm ourselves..

This is a prime example of an American knowing that she was her first line of self defense. Good for you, ma'am. Good for you on protecting yourself, and for your restraint in knowing to stop when the threat was stopped. This woman showed great poise.
I think that's a bad message to send. She did incredibly well and saved this POS's life... by not doing what she absolutely should have done according to nearly every handgun self-defense course in nearly every state in the nation (I say "nearly" because this is the case for the dozen or so states Im sure of and I'm assuming most of the rest. Castle doctrine or not.) was "keep firing into center of mass until the threat is completely neutralized".
She's a badass grandma, but if she was my grandma I'd be scolding her for hoarding bullets like cat food. "I don't give a fuck, Gamma; two in the middle, one in the top, *my* Gamma's jamma goes, "pop! pop! pop!"

+alpha18412 Lmao they do their best. If they could teleport they would prevent it.
I promise you that if you go and rob someone in front of the police they will prevent it because they're already there.
They don't just clean up the mess, they solve the crime, too. They gather evidence from the crime scene and do their best to serve justice.
In the video, they send the police there right away. Ofc they most likely won't be there in time. They still do their best to be there.

Yep. I fully support cops, but they can't get there fast enough, they simply can't. I'm a firefighter, and I'm telling you that you should own a fire extinguisher. - same logic applies.

911 should not be asking "where did you shoot him" !!!
Love her "Don't move or I'll shoot you again"
Regardless of that shit deserving the bullet, can you imagine the bleeding hearts out there hearing that the 911 operator didn't ask about the man shot. Police still have a duty of care for that suspect, regardless of their personal views on him and his actions. 911 did what he was meant to and got the information to the responding officers and then would have called for an ambulance to attend to the idiot who played silly games!
Yes they should. It is now not just a police call but EMS as well. If you call 911 for someone shot they ask you where the person is shot so EMS has as much info as possible. Regardless if he is a criminal or deserves to be shot. Everyone gets treated for their injuries, period.
He asked that so he could advise the Paramedics.
Deborah Lancaster calm down Debbie, he didn’t ask her to administer first aid or check his body, it was a simple ‘where did he get shot’ question to pass on info to the paramedics.
"Don't move or I'll shoot your ASS again!" Is the correct quote.
