The situation at Camp Navarro is dire. NCR Rangers are breaching the gates, 1st Recon are taking out any Enclave soldiers they see, troopers are climbing the walls. Sgt. Arch Dornan was seen wounded and taking cover in the armory by numerous eye witnesses. “Any Enclave soldiers in the armory! Come out now and surrender peacefully!” a Ranger shouted out as he gave the order to blow the doors open. Inside, they saw no one, the armory was empty. All except Sgt. Dornan wielding a Gatling laser. Sgt. Dornan shouted out “C’mon you mor-ons! If America’s going down, I’m taking you mutie bastards with me!” Any NCR Soldiers immediately were cut down as many more rushed to take down Sgt. Dornan. He held the armory for 5 hours before finally being taken down by rocket launcher fired by Rangers. When the NCR left Navarro to rust, an Enclave squad under the command of Colonel Gannon came to look for survivors. All they saw was the body of Sgt. Arch Dornan, his Gatling laser overheated beyond repair, surrounded by the bodies of over 150 NCR Rangers and Troopers.
The point where they start shooting him really shows how bad at aiming the npcs are in fo4’s engine, like he’s literally standing still and somehow 50% their shots miss
god, fallout is phenomenal if it makes you feel bad for the sacking of navarro and the prosecution of enclave personnel, both former and current, by the ncr for perspective, this would be like the empire's defeat at endor and the new republic arresting former imperials and somehow causing the audience to feel sorry for the captured imperials

Stromtroopers who are better trained and equipped are sent to fight Rebel Commandos (NVA) and Ewoks (Viet Cong) with the native population of ewoks more than outnumbering them. Ultimately defeated despite the significant and high casualties inflicted on their enemies. Their loss was political more than anything (Loss of Ruler vs Loss of Prestige/Power.)
