Seed Video Enthusiast tuning in: Droughts suck (speaking as an Australian), but that drip irrigation Mike so kindly installed is going to be a lifeline. I love mine. It's fun trying to work out what to plant mid-season :P good luck, and may your harvest be plentiful.
Thanks Buddy!! I’m so happy for that irrigation. I think we are on a daytime water ban so I’ve been using it sparingly but even with spare use it’s been amazing!
I just have a small balcony garden so I started a bunch of flowers from seeds this year and I always learn a lot from you! I can’t wait to grow veggies and have a larger garden one day. I grew romaine lettuce on a windowsill indoors in a long container and it was heavenly. Thanks, as always, for the inspiration!
Growing flowers is so rewarding, I have to talk veggie growers into it sometimes! I hope you get to expand soon, but there’s lots of possibilities in small spaces. 💚
@@PamsPrettyPlants there absolutely is! I mainly wanted to make it a pollinator heaven so it’s full of native stuff for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. I was never much of a flower gal but the joy of seeing the pollinators really changed me!
We got poured on last night! Wahoo! I was thinking of putting some more Swiss chard. We picked a bunch for dinner the other day... delicious! Thanks for the fall planting ideas! I bought watermelon radish seeds. Looking forward to trying them!
Hi Pam. I can’t wait to see how your garden progresses. Just found your channel recently. I’ve watched your video on pepperomia’s quite a few times, my favorites. Thanks for your wonderful videos.
Make up is 👌😍 Hear you on the drought, we now have a day time irrigation ban in place from ditches which is where I get mine for the allotment 🤦🏻♀️ We love 80yr seed videos!
Thanks for sharing…lucky you friends with seeds😀I didn’t plant any beets or buy many seeds this spring and now I’m on the hunt for some fall seeds. I did start some lettuce and brussel sprouts and I have a few other seeds to use up. I’m just starting to get some zucchini since I started my plants later in the season hoping to avoid squash bugs. I tried peas once in fall and didn’t do well but I’m thinking of trying again just to see if it goes any better; peas are a great spring crop for me. This heat wave and drought is making it difficult to even think about gardening or maybe it’s my senior status 😜at any rate I’ll keep growing what I do have and hope for the best.
I just want to make sure you know about BT, an organic spray to keep the cabbage worms off the brassicas. I grow collards for soups. It freezes well for soups all winter.
Thank you! I do, I just don’t want to use anything in my garden like that if I can avoid it because I am a monarch waystation. Too many good caterpillars under my care to risk it but maybe once I install the row cover! I appreciate the tip though thank you!!
@@PamsPrettyPlants From what I understand, the caterpillar would have to eat the leaves of the plant you spray BT on. I don't think monarchs like collards.... I know they LOVE dill. I see their caterpillars on my dill and carrot tops every year
Wow what a gift to receive! I’d be thrilled! Also I don’t think Danvers are hybrid…they’d say F1 or something no? Pretty sure the number just means that’s the selection in a trial that worked best. Or something. Or at least that’s (close to) what I’ve heard…🫠
Fuck the drought!
Fuck it!!!
🖕🖕🖕🖕 drought 🖕🖕🖕🖕
I don't plant seeds, lol, I literally watch because your voice is so calming, and you are so entertaining!
Aw! Well I’m glad to help bring some calm! 🥰

Really enjoyed this video. You always have interesting subjects.🇨🇦
Thank you so much!
Excited for my fall garden! Last year(/this year) we didn’t have killing frost until Jan 2nd. It was beautiful. 🍁🍃🍁🥬🥕🥬
Woah! That's super late! Sometimes we get into November without one and I wouldn't mind that!!

You just made me realize I have no Swiss chard seeds. How is that even possible? 😅

Hi Patti! Thanks for watching! I have to repurchase some of those peps since a few went down in thrips!
I never think to plant seeds in the Fall where I live, and it amazes me that people can.
If you’re really on your game you can garden through most of winter in my zone but I’m not at that level yet 😅
@@PamsPrettyPlants I think I am in a zone 3 or 3a, so take what I can get 😂
Encouragement indeed. Missed the boat with radishes & lettuce in the spring. Making vow to fix that now. Thanks Pam.
You got this Charlene!
Thanks for the heads up on fall crops 💚🥰

Holy crap that box of seeds.... Christmas!!
Cheapest net curtains from IKEA for your brassicas
You didn't send me all your silver slicer? 😭🙈
Omg the net curtains, brilliant idea! And I saved 4 seeds for myself and 3 came up! All good, I can get more easy!!
We have a daytime water ban too but idk how many people even know that cause I had to look it up.
Very helpful thanks! It gave me the motivation I seem to be lacking ATM.
We are motivating each other here because it don’t come easy in the heat!! 😅
Greetings from an equally drought-ridden European zone 8! May we both get plenty of rain soon 💀
We finally got an inch yesterday. I would have danced in it but there was too much Lightning!

I don’t think it’s just senior status cause I’m right there with you! It’s so hard to be motivated when it’s like the surface of the sun outside 😅

Love the dark Wizard of Oz Dorothy look!!
😂 I love that
I always enjoy your videos. Very informative!

Lettuce! Thanks for the reminder

I’m not sure what I said that you’re responding to but I know Danvers carrots are heirloom so if I said otherwise I probably misspoke.
