Hi! I love that you do basegame houses, but I feel like they’re all starters, I would love to see you do a base game house that’s not a starter!
yes please!!!!
oh, yes!!!
For anyone looking for base game / limited pack builds with varying budgets / styles I would recommend ShibaSimSim on the gallery 😊
I also don't get why she's always using 20k budget even when her sim count is more than one...
Like yeah, you get more money for more sims, so why wouldn't we want to use them? 😅
@@notllikethat I think she just enjoys the extra challenge but I’m sure if she sees people requesting base game builds with a higher budget she should would probably do at least one if she hasn’t already, you know?
the sized up marriage poster in parents room screams we have a budget problems but at least we have each other
made me laugh 😂
The 8 sim starter is such a cool challenge idea and I love that this one's not basegame but I wish she'd use the actual 8 sims budget 😭 imagine how cute the interior could be with 34k!!!
Same
We definitely need more houses in the 30-50k range for sure! Love this idea
I always find that, when budget is an issue, One dresser for the whole house is enough. I mean - they only use it if you tell them too. Then kids can have more toys or a swing set or something. PLUS - you get a dresser when someone ages up!
Or make a mud room
Yeah but Kayla tends to put looks over functionality (not saying this is bad but it's her build style) the columns outside and pretty kitchen set are also a waste of money but that's just her style
You don't need dressers at all. All dresser interactions are available on mirrors and mirrors also allow you to train Charisma, Dancing, Acting and Research & Debate. I quite often just use a basic side table/console table plus a mirror, in lieu of a dresser, as it halves the price.
thats what i tend to do if i have a tiny home or less budget i give only one or more but not all a dresser and prioritise the usage of toys and stuff

ABOUT THE HAND PRINTS: three pictures, 5 little hands. ok theres 8 sims -2 are the parents -5kids + 1 infant who doesnt have a handprint YET!! so the handprintes are fine.
also adds to a narrative that there were 2 sets of twins (teens and kids), then a toddler then infant
Why not do this challenge with the starting funds that 8 sims get? I know that sims need left over money for food and stuff, but not over 10k worth! 😅 I think it would make this challenge soooo much easier if you did use the full 32k!
I'd love to see you do an inside out house, where you have stuff like indoor plants, indoor pool, etc, then the indoor stuff is outside: hammocks for sleeping, pee bush, outdoor shower, etc. So basically reverse everything. It'd be really funny.
i love this idea 😆😆
Would love some non budget builds! ❤️ I usually money cheat the house when I'm moving Sims in
Maybe like. Base game plus one or two packs?
YESS
I would love to see you make over this house with the full $32,000
the thing is you don't want it to be the full 32k because you still need money for food, bills and other activities they do.
They can get a job though first day in.
145 simoleons door: "oh no, too expensive!"
*Buys a 175 simoleons door instead* 😂
She bought 3 of them
@@alliibee4015 because one was not enough 🤌
simsie is such a great builder!!! but as someone who doesnt really play the sims a lot, and mainly watches speebuilds i feel that sometimes it becomes very repetitive the starter home/low budget builds (they’re still very good!!!).
i would love to see more variety, like challenges were someone creates a family and a budget and simsie have to build a house based on their lore (maybe someone have a fav color, or hates some style, or have a passion for the cupcake machine idk)
that would be so cool ngl and maybe they each have requirements for what each sim needs in the house, also like things like who shares rooms or who doesnt and who gets a ensuite and who wont etc. think i have done my own version of that tbh.
@@paintingdreams290 omg i would love to see that
She used to kind of do this back when she had a fixer upper style series. People would upload builds to the gallery with her hashtag and ask her to renovate and give any specific details or storylines they want to include. It was such a fun series and really showed her creativity, I don’t know why she stopped doing it. Everything is so repetitive now.
I think this is a great house to start with because it has so much room to upgrade and improve without having to "rebuild" or "build" additions. I might even grab this to start a family in and if someone does have 8 sims they will have what like 12k to work with right from the start.
Love how she always posts right when get home from school! My graduation next week also ends at three, so i'll be able to come home and destress :) thanks for all you do
Good luck! I hope your graduation goes well ❤
congrats!!! enjoy your graduation!! 🥳
I'm a teacher and I feel the same way! It's perfect timing.
I wish I had Simsie back when I was in school. I’m too old
Colonial/Georgian/Federal Style is typical a good way to go, they are basically a simple box with a center stairwell.
I LOVE the fact that You post perfectly before I go to sleep (it's almost 11pm in Poland) so I can watch the newest video lying in bed, falling asleep ❣️
you should come back to this build and redecorate with a bigger budget :)
The parents always having the cheapest room. Funniest part of these videos
Redo this build with original 34K budget Simsie!😊
I know Simsie likes doing these but my favorites is when she does really big houses. Like of course not all the time but I would love to have like a good hour + video or videos to listen/watch while I play sims along side her.
My head cannon about the hand prints: altogether, there are 5 hand prints. 2 sets of 2 and 1 on its own. Perhaps the teens are a set of twins, and the children are a set of twins. So they share a handprint picture with their twin as it was done when they aged up to be a toddler. The toddler isn't a twin, so they have their own. And the infants one just hasn't been done yet because they are too little.
Kayla: that's a little bit much for the teenagers room
The room: 10 objects
🥲🥲🥲
Nice job! Next time I bet you there's debug you can use to make your own shower "walls" for that freestanding showerhead. I've never tried it but I know folks do it and make it functional all the time. Also in a big family house like this when you're looking for cheap decor - birth certificates are another good choice.
Nice build!! Kind of reminds me of the home from the movie "Home Alone" lol
I'm always so happy whem I see the notification that you posted a video! Love you Simsie💖
Hiii, i have something i want to say, as an fyi for future builds if you do a basegame build please do not do any restrictions i really like your builds and i want to use some of them but i dont have many packs and i really don't like that all your basegame houses are empty starters, so please can you maybe not do restricted basegame builds? ❤
(I edited it to be more like a question like i saw some of the comments saying, sorry if it sounded rude before! ❤)
YESSSSSS a fancy decked out simsie basegame build is needed
Exactly base game does not mean cheap!!
This is a great idea. I also think maybe a restriction build where the walls, stairs and paint aren't included in the 20k isn't.
The 'most expensive' challenge was great! She could try that with base game!
There is definitely a less rude way to say this
“We need some ✨PAZAZ✨ ”

You should do an 8 sim apartment challenge, but like with actual apartments
Simsie slays.
You could have half the windows and still have a pretty house... And more money
Not a question to lilsimies but to just simmers in general, does anyone know what happened with the free blooming rooms kit? I heard about it a month ago and never saw it free yet
Oh yeah me too!!
i thought it was only for mac simmers moving to the EA app. my mistake if you are one of us
SAME. i saw a video on it for sure
I swear Kayla always gives the infants the biggest rooms lol
Hope everyone's having a good day
No
Im currently playing in this house! I remade the bedrooms because I’m doing an 8-teens challenge. Great work!
A way you could save money is by not placing flooring over the stairs.
When you place flooring at the second floor, it also selects the part where the stairs are to place flooring. You could save a couple hundred by removing that and changing it to the concrete that it starts with. I always do that.
lilsimsie build with unlimited packs and unlimited budget challenge
Am I the only one who kind of hates playing with 2 story homes?
Though this is cute!
Of course you make an 8 bedroom house right after i spend 2 hours building an 8 bedroom house because i couldnt find one on the gallery LMAO
It's not 8 bedroom though, several rooms were doubled up. It was like... 5 bedroom?
@@KittyCat260 would still help
i absolutey LOVE the black and white
I wonder what's the most expensive fancy (but realistic) house you could make with basegame
wow guys i can’t believe i watched this WHOLE video 😍🙌
no but the style of this house is actually so cute??? I love when Kayla does this type too!!
this is such a great starter home to play with, there's so much potential to play and make your sims earn more to fill it out more and the structure of the house is so good and fun to imagine filling with more decor and skill building stuff!! love it
SIMSIE ALMOST HAS TWO MIL YAAASSSS GO KAYLAAAAAA
I love that you try and get out of your comfort zone by trying to keep your designs fresh! Great job on the build Simsie!
LMAO
…..this is a joke right
please renovate the community lots in brindleton bay 😭😭 its the best world but the builds are so so bad so we never use it because of that 😭😭
whos we? not me, I just placed new community builds from the gallery
@@petewall13 i think her renos are a lot better then anything ive seen on the gallery
My girlfriend and I love watching your builds!
It's giving a flip house grey (IFYKYK) but much better and you would never have any of those flipped house problems in the sims unless you put them in yourself!
I will be using this house for my growing family. Thanks.
miss ma'am we are sick of watching you building the same house using the same items with the same budget. there's no ambition here
That outdoor trashcan, works in the Sims, but god it shouldn't be placed there for actual functionality :D
I'm so grateful for everything that you do with St. Judes, as I had my own experience with Cancer at the age of 17
Have you tried sizing up the kids toys? To fill up the empty spaces…
This home brings back a memory for me. Its The Sims 1 intro video memory! Looks very much like it, lovit!
10:58 "I'ts kinda yeehaw... not really in a good way." 💀
I just started a household with 8 sims! Its like you read my mind 😮
Having a small budget and such a large family makes me think of that family from TS2 and they still would have had extra money left! Love the build as usual! ❤
I love that on these types of builds, the toddler always ends up having their own room 😂
Youre better than me. Id make sim 7 & 8 a cat and dog 😂
this is SOO GOOOD! very realistic too
It could be a older couple with their kid and spouse and grankids, i like the idea of many generations in the same house
Here before 2 Mill!!!
I don't know why but I just really dislike the basegame kids furniture set. It feels so sad and unfinished to me just like the default roof texture
SAME!!!!!
i love the yellow and the purple swatch and that’s it.. the dinosaur one is cute but every other one feels lifeless
love ur builds❤😊
The outside reminds me of the McCallister's house in Home Alone
Get a shell of the gallery and build a house with that exact shell. I feel like you build the same house over and over again, no hate 😅❤
this turned out so good, I'm not surprised though you are so talented at building, I'm so bad at trying to figure out floor plans
I always love base game challenges. I love alot of the packs but something about just base game speaks to me. Tiny living and city living are my favs bc of the furniture but like i looove base game
It’s giving home alone, McAllister vibes lol
I’m from Memphis and I wish I had seen your stream, and I know it’s in the past now, but welcome to Memphis simsie
Oh I love these videos!
I am buying my first home right now, and this is exactly what a few of the houses I looked at were like. Very accurate lol
I think it's cute! It's like a smaller version of the Home Alone house
I like watching you create these affordable houses. I don't mind that you use multiple packs in your builds. I have all the packs.
I love it! ❤
love it as always
I am once again asking Kayla to stop prioritising the exterior of her houses
Girl you slay 💅🏼✨
for the sake of realism, i would say that one of the kid’s bedroom could be a grandparent’s bedroom or aunt/uncle who lives with the family of their sibling.
Reminds me of the colonial homes around where I live. Nice.
genuinely asking, what’s the point of making an 8 sim house with only a 20k budget? If you start the game with 8 sims you get 32k. And if you have only a 20k budget you don’t have 8 sims so no use for all the extra rooms and beds
This kind of looks like my childhood home. 😍
Love this neat little starter! Good to see that it isn't a blue suburban XD
The older kids sharing rooms and then the infant and toddler having their own rooms would infuriate me as a child 😭🤣
The stream in Memphis went great!
This is just a note but has anyone else noticed in Sims builds you have to walk through the living room to get to the dining room she almost always seems to put kitchen living room dining room is that just me or is that just a simsie thing?
It's a Simsie thing... and is completely illogical. A dining room/table should be adjacent to the kitchen. Or how about a fireplace not near the chimney stack she builds?
@@andrewmoeller1987it’s east coast american thing it seems. a lot of houses i’ve lived in were like this
East Coast thing
omg 1.99 mil subs ur so close!!!
so close to 2 mil omg
No one else seems to be mentioning it but uh…. Toddler potty, changing table.
8 sims don't start out with 20k though! It doesn't make sense to make an 8 sim starter for just 20k. It would've been nicer with 32 or whatever the actual amount is to afford more interesting decorations and appliances :(
Yeah. I feel like she’s limiting herself with budget builds. We can always cheat on money. Just give us a functional builds
@@mathilda____7928Budget builds definitely can feel limiting, but this one feels extra limited bc like she & the commenter pointed out, an actual 8sim household starts with like 32k
This turn out really good! I forgot to comment and I saw it 7 hours ago 🙃
how do you manage to even make this like this is genuinely amazing
From Calvin
I tried your yeehaw shell challenge and tried to fit eight sims 😩😂🤪
Hey simsie!!
I really think that you should move your nightmare legacy sims in here
That's a very common colonial house seen everywhere on the East Coast region like Pennsylvania New Jersey Virginia the original 13 colonies for the most part I like colonial houses very much
You built the same house twice for an 8 sim starter home lol
My friend lives on a historical site in an all-brick house with those white hydrangea bushes. You're so right.
I think the builds should be in two different categories. A starter home using the sim's starting funds and a starter home that a family would buy as their first home, but they wouldn't have such a tight budget. More like a home to expand over the years but still very nice.
I know it's very hard to compare the irl economy to the sims, but a starter home where I live is about 150K (i know other areas are much higher). Something similar to the budget you stick to in your builds would get you a studio apartment.
If someone wanted to be realistic in their gameplay, they could use $ cheats as a "mortgage" and "pay it back" out of their salary each year. Sorry this is long. I'm kind of brainstorming off the first part of my comment.
You should try the Full Control Camera mod to make taking pictures of your sims easier
Hope you Raise a lot of money for ST. Jude
