As a student who attends Benedictine College and was at the graduation ceremony, nearly everyone agreed with the statements made by Harrison Butker. He made a traditional Catholic speech to a traditional Catholic crowd. I couldn’t be prouder of my college standing up for the beliefs we share.

Forbes called his speech “controversial.” I don’t get how supposedly unbiased journalists can get away with choosing to get offended by mere words. True words, no less.
As a practicing Catholic who’s not a fan of football, I’m glad to now have someone to cheer for, and I’m proud that he was so open with his stance. May he continue growing in his faith, loving his family, and enjoying the success that God’s will has in store for him.
