Carnivore CURE! But It’s Not What I Expected

- Опубліковано 10 лют 2025
- Hello everyone!
In todays' video I'm talking all about how the carnivore diet has helped me tackle some health issues that have plagued me for most of my life, despite having a healthy diet of whole foods that are grown locally. Yes, foods bursting with nutrition, and intermittent fasting have only taken me so far. This video looks at the specifics of what was going on with me and how quickly each ailment was cured. FINALLY!
I sincerely hope this helps.
Happy homesteading!

ABOUT Homesteading with PJ!
Hi! I’m PJ, and my family loves the homesteading life! It’s something my wife and I have always wanted to do, but we grew up with ZERO HOMESTEADING EXPERIENCE!!!!! We grew up in beautiful southern California, 15 minutes away from the beach. As amazing as that was, we both dreamed of a life closer to land and animals. After getting married and moving to Utah, our family slowly grew. We had become a family of four living in a townhome with a small backyard filled with potted plants.
In 2019 we dipped our feet into homesteading on 1 ¼ acre lot in Utah. In 18 months we were ready to do this for real. So in 2021 we packed everything up and moved to North Carolina to 12 acres and we love every inch of our homestead!
We raise sheep and have big plans for:
• grass-fed lamb
• meat chickens
• laying chickens
• heritage breed pork
• honey
• vegetable garden
• perennial food forest
• and more
I hope you join us on our journey, subscribe and ring the bell if you haven’t yet.

I love sound effects 😊
Congratulations ! I just hit 13 months carnivore and it has changed my life! i started at north of 715lbs i was stuck in the house for over 2 years and i was on home oxygen 24/7. i had congestive heart failure, reactive airway disease, depression, anxiety, lymphedema, and many other issues. ive lost 262lbs so far, i have my mobility back, im off oxygen, and off all meds, my depression and anxiety is completely gone. everything has healed and is either 95% to 100% healed! A literal answer to prayer ! i love hearing people changing their lives with carnivore too. Keep up the great work!
Wow, thank you so much for sharing. What a unique perspective on carnivore. Keep up the good work. You got this!
Wow. Your story sounds incredibly similar to Bill Nott's story.
@michaelnienaber8263 it is. Bill is why I started a channel, I was about 6 months ahead of him and had already lost over 200lbs so I wanted to make him a video to let him know that carnivore works. And in doing so " limitless lindy" commented on my video to Bill, and she was 800lbs and has lost over 500lbs on carnivore over the last 25 months now, so we now do a Sunday live show on yt called 700 plus lbs and Counting down. And on our second episode of that show we found Michael who was over 700 lbs and has been house bound for over 17 years and he is now 6 months carnivore and has lost over 160lbs now. I love it! Carnivore is freeing people from being prisoners in there bodies and giving them a new life!
I’ve seen this IDENTICAL COMMENT on a different video (same topic), from a different individual. Hmmm…. very interesting…. 🤔
@@TheCarnivoreCure wow, so you basically started a movement.
I’m new to the carnivore diet and I just want to say that there is not one video in which people have not expressed how good they feel when it comes to their mental health . That’s great news and brings so much hope !
Carnivore for 120 days. Starting weight was 267 lbs and now at 211. I feel energized. No longer hungry all the time. I mostly eat one large red meat meal a day. I will occasionally have bacon and eggs if I’m hungry in the morning. I don’t intentionally eat once a day. If I’m not hungry….. I just won’t eat. Plenty of water and real salt. Mental clarity through the roof. Occasionally, I will have a piece of hard cheese as a treat….. very rarely. Looking back to my sad American diet previously it’s seems chaotic and a mess. I want this as my new lifestyle. At 53 I’m starting to see my ab muscles again. It’s like seeing a long lost friend.
I don't even call it a "diet" anymore. It's just a choice, and I choose to eat proper human food. The transformation has been incredible.
You start seeing what you used to call "food" and what other people call "food" as... something else. Even though I do enjoy the taste of some veggies, and certainly fruit, there are some I will never go back to. Green salads for example... I don't think I'll ever eat another green salad ever.
@@homesteadingwithPJ That is so true. I experience those thoughts as well.
Agree. It’s not a diet in the common use of the word: a fad that cannot be maintained. Carnivore is a lifestyle, a manner of eating.
That is probably one of the most accurate ways to say it. For me it was an incredible transformation too! Strength improvements to beating depression, just for eating proper human food instead of plant based... sad it took me 10 years to notice xD
@@Dennisko372 Yes, the benefits are undeniable in eating meat. Your body absorbs it and utilizes every part of it, rather than just wasting it through digestion. All of your cartilage and joints repair, and your body just works better. It's crazy
Today is my first day of carnivore, excited to start the journey
I'm on day 12! Feeling better already and I like that this is really not hard to follow if I keep it simple. Meat, salt, water and I do eat eggs. I'm loving it!
Me too!!! I wish us both good eating
My haemorrhoid’s are not really bad but I have noticed they have shrunk 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 my hair seems to be thickening up too which is great as since the menopause it has been thinning 😊 this eating lifestyle is amazing 🤩
Day 73 now!!!!
Since everyone else is doing it…
Started May 5th last year at 306 lbs, joint aches, muscle aches, lethargy, pre-diabeetus, asthma, sleep apnea, total ED(meds stopped working), horrid pain in my left foot lasting 3 days at a time, insomnia, shoulder pain and periodontal disease. Everything here was because of the SAD.
My almost 10 month journey has erased almost everything on that list I just gave you all. Sadly, the periodontal disease issue was diagnosed 3 years ago and apparently when my body got healthy it decided the bad teeth had to go. But I don’t get dental plaque any more. My energy is up 300% or more. If I had known about carnivore 10 even 15 years ago, I would have made the changes then. I have gone from a size 44 to a 34 which is amazing to me. And yes, I do check myself out in the mirror all of the time now. I won’t lie to you all, I’m liking what I see in the reflection, no self-homo. I’ve gone from believing I would die before retirement age to feeling like I could go on indefinitely. Bring it on. I’m ready now. Sure it sucks knowing I need to turn down the things I would indulge on in the past,(pizza, spaghetti, fried everything and subs) but one thing that has helped me stay on program for almost 10 months is fellow carnivores who have told their “cheat day” or “fell off the wagon for 4 months” stories. They are all the same. “I put all the weight back on and more…”, “the joint pain returned immediately…”, “I woke up with brain fog the next morning…”, “cramping and diarrhea was instantaneous…”, “the sugar cravings returned and I couldn’t beat them for 4 months…” y’all know the deal.
I don’t foresee that I will ever return to the SAD again, I am just too convinced that I found the cheat code to life here. Thank you. Drs. Baker, Berry and Chaffee…
I'm currently your past self. I'm trying to change. Hearing you out makes me feel good. Because we weight the same.
Happy Carniversity
@@Dwhinery Carniversary 😄
You present this info well. Realistically. It's a big ask to believe so many problems can be gone in days, weeks, but it's true. I made a list of ailments and almost all of them are gone and I'm only 15 days in. At 77, I decided I was not going to age with the body breaking down, plus extra weight, so I stopped eating and then discovered a new life. I'm so grateful to everyone who has made videos to share their story and knowledge. Thank you. ❤
It's now 65 days and it's been a rollercoaster ride, with so many days I couldn't function, but the benefits are worthwhile. I gave myself 77 days to get it right. Nearly there! 😊 Your right, flexibility is essential, so you don't become a reformed plant eater.😅
I really appreciate you sharing the gory details. After more than 20 years of chronic pain and IBS after only 3 months on carnivore I was off all 5 meds that I was taking every single day.
Oh wow, what a recovery. So happy to hear things are better for you these days.
How are you feeling ? I hope your healing up . I'm going to pray for you .
Wow! That's great. I hope this cures my ailments. I have autoimmune diseases and arthritis.
Just do it and see the little mirecals
I tried to start a year ago and had some simular issues as you. A few weeks ago maybe a month I went about 80% carnivorefor a week or 2. Meat and some veg mainly. Now 99% carnivore. recluse I used to have is mostly gone the last few days. For me I am doing best with beef. I am no longer afraid of fat causing reflux. That said I try to get most of the fat from in the meat or the chunks still on the meat and try not to eat too much of the grease. That melted fat isn't as big a problem as it was though. Try a few days or a week of mainly a certain type of meat to see how you do. Good luck!
I’m at day 85
240lbs down to 207lbs
Oh my wow! I went carnivore in November for gut issues..and my chronic plantar fasciitis is gone! So many bonus healings, I had no idea!!
Glad to hear it!
I didn't. go into it on this video, but I'll more, but I used to have bad SIBO. Was eating loads of raw veggies, nuts, and fruits and it destroyed my gut. Carnivore has certainly brought back a very normal gut!
Weird. I had plantar fasciitis too that was bothering me and it went way down when I did carnivore too.
I went carnivore in November, also. That was after 12 years vegetarian then about 23 years pescatarian. I noticed a difference in just two days! I feel more 'real' now. I no longer feel my usual depression and suicidal ideation lurking in the background. And hardly any farting - Bonus! I feel sort of New All Over.
I have metatarsalgia out of nowhere and I have been in pain for a while. I decided to start carnivore Diet this week.
You're so right about watching videos like yours, because they do give strength to keep going.
Well it's really amazing that so many people have the exact same issues pains and ailments that you listed. I am 52 and had every problem on your list until I looked up what was the actual cause of these problems. I've been on a carnivore diet for 2 years and all my pains, stomach issues, skin problems have disappeared. An animal based diet was the best thing I've ever done for my health and I now feel 20 years younger.
It's amazing, isn't it? I suffered terribly with eczema for 17 years. I used so much cortisone cream during that time that I permanently damaged my eyesight in one eye (central serous retinopathy). TEN DAYS of carnivore and my eczema was gone.
@@LWilkes wow! 17 years is not a joke, I’m happy for you!
@@scalemodeltutor9841 Carnivore people are so nice! Thank you.
I am a week into beef salt water. Soon I will introduce other carnivore foods. But so far my heartburn/reflux has completely vanished. It was getting so bad that I couldn’t sleep through the night without taking some medicine for the heartburn. I have had great sleep so far!
I love to hear it! Heartburn was another small thing that eventually went away too. I did Lion (beef + salt + water) for one week of my 100 days, and it was killer. Pretty hard for me. Even though beef is like 70% of my calories, I missed eggs and raw milk!
You go!
If you start getting migraines or keto "flu", stick to it, your body will adapt and the rewards are incredible. Focus on electrolytes. Good luck
Do you mean that carnivore as in just beef and salt and water was killer?@@homesteadingwithPJ
Add butter with beef , melt it or eat it off the stick. 70-30fat to protein you decide the ratio, research . Good luck I’m 30 days in now and feel fabulous
I'm saying that Lion (which is just beef + salt + water) was killer, as in very difficult for me@@underated17
I have never liked and subscribed when asked until now. I am so happy for you that you found what will heal your body. When I tell people these things they are prone to filter it as crazy talk. This way of eating heals so many things. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! It means a lot!
"I have never liked and subscribed when asked until now" same ahah
Same here!
Same ..I did because I appreciate knowing these specific benefits lol
Hey I'm around half a year carnivore and have also cured many many issues. I lost 50 pounds! I plan on buying up a few sheep this spring and have learned lots from your channel.
Whoa 50lbs in 6 months?!?! And you're getting sheep?!? We're now best friends! I'll be doing lots more on carnivore and the crossover from homesteading. Thanks for saying hi!
And congrats on your journey!
@@homesteadingwithPJ yes! More sheep and carnivore crossover! 😊
Your story sounds extremely similar to mine. About a month ago I started the strict carnivore diet I eliminated all the other crap from my diet. I feel so much better. Mental clarity, body pain depression like everything's just .....I can't even describe how much better I feel.
Right!?!?
Glad you found something that works for you!
I completely understand. I had my gallbladder and gastric bypass 4 yrs ago. I started gaining weight back. I've been 90% carnivore for about 5 months. No more bathroom issues and have a lot of energy that I didn't have before.
Going back to your old way of eating will reintroduce those issues you just cleared up. I've been there lol and they come back quickly. It's not worth going back. Carnivore for life.
100% true. Though I've been able to do what a couple cheat days a month and sustained a perfect weight and healed health issues as well but they will come back
Yeah. The only way to keep the issues from coming back in my case is to do ketovore ( with dairy and macros like keto with maximum 50g carb from the milk) and when I feel that I need to be strict I do carnivore ( all animal products with no dairy, 0 carb). It might be because I'm still healing my gut issues. But absolutely no plants and carb from plants because it's still causing me issues.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not going back to my old ways by any means. Still carnivore pretty much every day, especially on the weekdays. Steak, eggs, raw milk, and chicken (in that order) make up 98% of my diet these days.
But today my kid didn't finish his mango, so I ate a few pieces. No bloating, no issues. True, not carnivore, but a far cry from what I was eating.
I may not be carnivore for life. But I could see myself doing this for YEARS.
@homesteadingwithPJ so somehow you and everyone else in this "carnivore community" believe that evolution was wrong?
Humans and all their ancestors have been omnivores for literally millions of years........if "plants" water so toxic, then no humans would be here........the toxicity would have prevented humans from flourishing.....
And yet, every culture around the whole planet have been cultivating hundreds of plants f foods for 20,000 years.......
I guess they kept doing it because they enjoyed being poisoned?
I had 99% of your condition in the past and a fungal toe nail that wouldn't go away but it did in less than 4 wks as did my other conditions. It's been 3yrs now on carnivore and I am 60 but feal better than I did in my 30s . It can be hard on holidays or going out for a meal but there is ways around that . I might start adding some greens as the one thing I did miss was asparagus and green cabbage and avocado 🥑🥒🥬❤
if i had known then what i know now, I could have prevented 2 surgeries and the loss of my gallbladder!!!! good for you, and thanks for sharing, you will be helping lots of people who have ears to hear your story. and follow eating carnivore!!
You're doing great PJ, the details of your journey are comforting. I'm a 79 year old female and have just discovered the carnivore diet. In my younger days I was conscientious about health I ate what was considered healthy food, watched my calories and worked out with weights alongside my son who was body-building, also did a lot of walking and sprinting. Somewhere along my life path I lost all of that and became obese and unhealthy. I've decided that I need to change to live a healthier, fitter longer life and after watching many videos can see that the carnivore diet is obviously it.
The only thing is I've started to become afraid on two fronts. Meat here in Australia is terribly expensive and I'm an age-pensioner. And secondly how to keep eating cheap meat? Literally, I'm afraid that I might not be able to manage it, though I seriously want to do this.
Keep talking PJ, I'm using your experience to get through my fears. Thank you for being there.
Hope things are going well for you 🙏🏻
Ground beef is MUCH LESS expensive than steak.
I started carnivore Jan 7 at 197 pounds. It’s now Feb 4 and I’m 179. Less than a month. Pain diminished greatly. Feel great.
WHOA! Quick results!
How much did you eat and what did you eat? How many calories?
@@Mr.ZachBach I ate one meal after work. Usually a steak or roast. I ate until full. Then fasted until after work again.
@@terryconeby90 oh cool so pretty much eat till your full and good to go!
One thing I’d like to clarify is, using dead lifts for back issues. I’ve had bulging disc issues and lower back pain as a former, and only recently current athlete for the last 20 years. I just started carnivore two weeks ago, but have solved my back pain using specific core exercises and light deadlifts. Deadlifts cannot be emphasized enough. When I first started, I had spasms every morning, and couldn’t even lift 10 pounds off the floor without being very cautious. After hearing an MMA fighter, talk about this approach on Joe Rogan. I decided to give it a try after leaving every other stone unturned besides surgery and stem cells. I didn’t believe him at first, but he said everyone he knew that had back pain was solved by this approach! I gave it a try, starting with dumbbells to kettlebell to eventually using a barbell for LIGHT dead lifts. And I’ve essentially fixed my back !! I haven’t had a single back spasm in almost a year, and I haven’t even thought about my back in most of that time, which is absolutely a miracle. I’ve actually returned to playing full court, competitive basketball, lifting weights, and everything in between. It literally is the key that changed my life. When I started with lighter, weight I didn’t see the major benefits, until I eventually got above 100 pounds with the . Our posterior chains are stronger than we think so this is not really a lot of weight. I typically never go above 185 pounds even though I weigh 200 and have tested my max which seems above 300lbs. I can’t tell you how important this is for people to do and I’ve been to every doctor, tried swimming, yoga and every other approach out there. I’ve been to countless therapists, chiropractors, and back specialists and none of them would even dream of letting me do deadlifts thus keeping me in that state forever. Our medical community has failed us and we need to take care of ourselves but never stop trying. Hopefully this helps somebody.
Congratulations 🎉
I am in the carnivore for 2 months and 20 days. I am seeing my sleeping improved and my body is healing on my left foot 🦶🏼 and the lower back no pain anymore within a week. One thing that I’ve noticed was I don’t crave desserts nor fruits and veggies no more. But about weight loss not to much I’ve dropped the weights only 3-4 lbs but I’m feeling lighter and gaining the muscles. 💪🏻 😃 when I am on the 90 days I will make the vdo telling Thai friends about this excellent lifestyle, thank you for your VDO! 🙏
Dope! Let food be thy medicine. I can confirm the difference from heavy to carnivore and losing pounds to gaining it all back. Food can really be your medicine
Okay I HAVE TO SAY THIS. I've been having issues with constipation the last few years whereas before I never had any real issues in my life cause I've been blessed with a pretty healthy digestive system. These last few years though it's really been getting to me and I've tried every single thing in the book to try and finally get rid of this monster. I've been on the fence of trying out the carnivore diet. And to be COMPLETELY HONEST I believe that you sir have motivated me enough to go ahead and finally do it. I believe it could work now. For the stuff you may think shouldn't have been mentioned about the constipation and the hemmoroids. Screw it. Some things just need to be said. Thank you sir and I will be back to share how it's been going for me. Cheers!
P.S. I decided to write all this literally right before you asked us to like and subscribe. Lol. I chucked.
Thank you! Let us know how it goes!!!
Thank you for being so candid. Oh and thanks for talking fast 😂. Love ❤️ it!!!
Keep telling us your embarrassing life stories. Some of us can relate and
you are giving us motivation. Been suffering from IBS-D, hoping Carnivore
will help along with Alt. Day Fasting Mon, Wed and Fri.
I found your video today after praying for guidance on a positive change to my health and weight. Thank you for the encouragement tied with laughter. I am hopeful that I will be able to do carnivore. My goal is 30 days minimum, hopefully more. Thank you.
Your video made me realized I used to have back pain but now it's gone. Before carnivore diet, I remember I used to visit massage parlour every month due to the back pain. Now I'm no longer go to massage parlour.
Brilliant video thank you! I’m 33 days in and have had it really rough but woke up this morning and can feel a change. This video has spurred me on to go for 90 days. Please keep us updated with your progress as it’s so encouraging! 😊
Yes! I'm not a doctor of course, so I'm not saying that you *should* keep going. However, I saw massive improvements between day 30 and day 60. I hope you see some great improvements there as well!
I will be doing more Carnivore videos. Stay tuned!
Thanks for encouragement just heading towards 30 day with little improvement except improved sleep for which I am.grateful.
I have multiple chronic issues for 50 plus years so I've reason to persevere on my 90 day challenge.
@@pamdawson8598 Well done Pam. I think it’s going to be a slow road for me. A friend told me to keep a journal and just note down any little differences you feel or even any worsening of symptoms. That way you can keep an eye on maybe things that might not be working for you. I have my suspicions about eggs and butter for me but we’ll see. Everybody reacts differently so I have to be patient. 🤗
How is it going for you two?
Eggs and butter don’t work for me at all.
Brainfog comes back, energy goes out of the window.
So unfortunately being very strict can be the 5% work that brings the 95% of healing.
Wish you all the best

I really appreciate the topics you covered. It's nice to have a place to go to have those "forbidden" questions answered! I subbed because you seem to be very honest, open and straight forward. Thank you! I look forward to watching more of your videos.
THAT was really good. Thank you for being so candid. People really need to hear the plain talk
about reality. I was looking for encouragement on my 4th day of carviore and this helps tremendously. I'm looking for some seniors that are having good results with the diet. Love, p
My back pain went away in like 2-3 days on carnivore. I couldn't believe it's true 😮 now I'm eating also little bit of carbs, like 100g of rice and some honey but just to get little bit more body weight. But I'm still 90% carnivore and don't want to change it never
Just found your channel (carnivore n00b). Love your editorial cuts and snippets, they're hilarious. I am actually interested in homesteading too. Double Win 🎉
Yes! The crossover between homesteading and carnivore makes sense. It's all in the mindset of thinking and proving for yourself.
I really appreciated this info today. Needed encouragement to continue with being carnivore. I’m not seeing results, but it’s only been two weeks. I need to commit to at least 90/100 days.
I agree. Just pick a time period, not a weight goal. That was helpful for me.
I had raw milk aged cheese from Switzerland yesterday.
All my joints flared up arthritis .
No no no no.
Yes same here anything aged is a big no way for me too
Most grocery store meat is old and aged as well
Yeah, no I couldn't do any milk product! Never. I'm allergic to them period.
Dude the video edition is awsome, another level, kudos to you
Amazing video. I always need to be reminded of how the carnivore diet improves mood.
Helpful video, and very honest and open which is appreciated. The quality, editing, and structure of your video is amazing.
Before I got pregnant with my daughter, I was on a plant based diet and felt incredible! A ton of health issues improved. When I got pregnant with her, I couldn't stomach it anymore. I needed meat. Before I got pregnant this time, I ate a ton of meat. I felt incredible! Solved a lot of health issues again. Now that I'm pregnant, I can barely stomach meat lol I wonder what will stick once I give birth this time.
Same here. I’ve altered my diet through the years to how I felt that time and what I felt I needed. There have been times I couldn’t stomach meat. Right now I can’t stomach vegetables other than lettuce so I’m eating mostly carnivore foods. I don’t think here is one right way for all people all of the time.
We're supposed to be meat eaters in the winter and fast, and eat more raw plant foods (and more fish) in the summer, with some starch in the autumn. It's the alternation that makes the body happy. But instead, people only pick 1 diet and they stick with it for years, but then the body becomes unhappy. That's why you see both keto and vegan people becoming unhealthy after a couple of years on the same diet. It's supposed to be seasonal. That's how we evolved.
You may be right. That idea may answer a lot of questions.@@EugeniaLoli
Thanks for sharing! I always love to learn more about you and your sheep.
Years ago, I was eating so much raw veggies and nuts and I developed SIBO. That was my first step toward carnivore. Someone who is in tune enough to listen to what their body is asking for and being willing to try something else has a big advantage in this world. Thanks for sharing!
I love this and honestly, that's what I plan to be when I get to my ideal body composition.
Good for you PJ. Way not to sugar coat it. Pretty brave of you to put it all out there. Motivational for sure
I had the same experience with plantar fasciitis. For me, it occasionally bothers me…but not nearly as much now. I also like your casual approach to carnivore. I’ve only been doing it for a month but can’t imagine never eating other foods again. I’m already tired of beef tenderloin! I want to be strict for about 90 days and then give myself some cheat days occasionally. Great channel and I’m subscribed!
Good for you. Sounds like you've found what works!
I am late to the party but loved this video! I have always suffered from similar GI issues and they are all gone on carnivore. Also, congrats on the new deadlift PR! 🎉
I have two foods I want to add back into my diet but they will need to be home grown; blueberries and raspberries. Beyond that, I love this way of eating.
Love that idea, and I plan to get to that exact same spot one day too!
Carnivore is definitely the answer to our prayers and our health issues overall. You when I see eye to eye when it comes to this lifestyle because the majority of what I consume comes from an animal but I do leave flexibility for my fresh fruits for I love them alone with my fruit smoothies and my natural sweeteners like monk fruit, raw unfiltered honey, and pure maple syrup. I have no desire to consume vegetables or anything else besides that because they do nothing good for me. You inspire me to continue the animal based diet full force and I will continue doing it for the rest of my life. Thanks again.😊
Great story, thanks for sharing!
I have had hemorrhoids and constipation for 10 years. Now that I'm on the carnivore diet for the third month, it's only intensified. My back pain remains unchanged. You are lucky.
Thanks for this video...i pretty much have the same problems as you did except for constipation. Hopefully it can help me too.
Dude. You're such a nerd. To be honest it's made me enjoy watching your videos more than most others. The kind of person you are, rocks. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Cheers.
Thank you!!!
Hello from the UK. Thank you for your great videos they have helped me so much. They are also not so long which is also very good it keeps the interest, you get straight to the point..I’m 7 days in to Carnivore. The first 5 days were hell ! Daily bad headaches, tiredness, weakness, leg cramps and difficulty eating so much meat🤢 not able to sleep. Day 7 is much better. Still finding it difficult to eat too much meat but I’m hoping that will come right.
You mentioned being able to cook the best steaks. Have you thought about demonstrations of how you cook. I would really like to see that.
That's a good idea, I'll workshop that and see if I can get some videos around that topic. Thank you!
Also, keep going! I promise it gets easier. What you're describing sounds exactly like what my wife and I were feeling. Maybe you need more electrolytes? But it sounds like you're close to getting over the initial transition. Good luck!
@@homesteadingwithPJ Thank you! I increased my electrolytes, I’m feeling better. I look forward to your cooking demo’s.
Thank you for the gory details and “fun”stuff honestly!! I feel your pain! I’m SO HAPPY YOU FOUND RELIEF! I’m on day 7. I hope I can heal these issues too!
We have a lot of the same ailments and I’m starting at about the same level of health as you. (Except I also have crohn’s in remission.)
Best of luck! To go a whole week is a HUGE accomplishment!
Thanks for sharing your successes, all of them. We're all human and it is sometimes good to know that others have embarrassing issues too and that there is a possibility to get rid of them! Keep up your honesty!
After 5 months on carnivore and 5 months stupidity off my plantar is back. Your right it clears up to manageable after a few weeks. Told I’d need an op to clear the inflammation. Nope just meat. 👌 Back on as of today. Your vid was so good with the advice. I feel more educated now which will help me succeed. Thanks
Really like ur approach. Getting ready to start my carnivore journey. Lets goo!!
LESSSSS GOOOOO!
Thank you for sharing! I'm glad you shared you only lost 6 pounds because a lot of us get stuck on just the scale progress and it needs to be so much more....like all the other success you had eating this way. I'm not experiencing weight loss like I'd like to...but seeing results in other aspects and that keeps me goinf
So happy I came across your channel, keep sharing as you are very motivating. I have been watching these carnivore videos for about 6 months and haven’t been able to get past day 3. I will start again today.
Any joy?
Finally a non dogmatic approach to Carnivore! Thank you!
That's what I'm going for!
If other people can see that we're not 100% dedicated, ride or die, no departures from carnivore, we'll get more people who are willing to listen... and maybe even... dare I say, try, going Carnivore themselves?!?!
I am 7 years carnivore. Resolved Post Lyme chronic fatigue and also lupus.
I have wondered about carnivore and Lymes, but never heard anyone's story on that. Thanks for sharing here.
@@homesteadingwithPJ keto helped me resolving Lyme (against to taking so many antibiotics in the same time during last 6 years) so I assume carnivore will do the same.
After how many months your Lupus got cleared? Congratulations
@@oliverbytes I am not sure, it was a secondary thing. But I think that within 3 months when I had itchy feeling or couple of dry skin scales I saw it as a signal that I may have ate something wrong or some flu related inflammation is happening.
At that time I was still experimenting what kind of diet is best, trying to get back some foods I had no diagnosed intolerance to.
@@jansvoboda4293chronic fatigue is blood sugar lows and fluctuations based on my experience wearing a cgm
This video was right on time ! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I will be starting carnivore in two days. Thank you again for taking time to make this video.
YES! Enjoy!
Eventually I'll make a video on tips for people who want to start, or need some extra motivation. But a few tips:
- Consume some kind of pro-carnivore media every day
- Prioritize salt
- Honor your circadian rhythm, if you're tired at 8pm, go to sleep
- Have your favorite cuts of meats ready to go on the first week. It's hard to get started on anything, but it's easier if you've got a ribeye waiting for you every day 😉
How’s your journey so far
@@youiyoui9942it’s going fine ! I’m just adjusting to this new way of life. Thank you for asking 😊
Your videos definitely of value. Thank you for your willingness to share useful information with us. 🗝️
Thanks for the kind words, glad they are helpful to someone!
I had those hemorrhoids in my early 20s! IBS with constipation until carnivore. Thank God for me finding this and trusting this way of eating!
Thank you for sharing the embarrassing stuff. That’s exactly what I’m trying to fix and why keep going!!
Keep going!
Glad I found you here. I like watching your journey in this diet . And also your videos are not boring😊. Hello from Tokyo!
Wow, Tokyo! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing the hard stuff in your video. I needed to hear this. Just getting started and excited to keep going.
Yes Carnivore…is amazing the problems it solves..so now since I love to garden..I am rethinking vegetable gardening..I am thinking of growing animal food…
I stopped struggling to grow beans and brassicas for me and started growing natives for birds and insects... heaps less stress all around....
you could look into herbs?
Me too! I started gardening because of health problems. After several years, my garden was beautiful and the soil was like gold … and I didn’t feel better…then carnivore diet. I’m feeling great and planning my sheep herd for my newly bout acreage. I’m still grateful for my garden skills- I’ll be growing veg for my animals now ;)
Me too! Do you have any suggestions?
For chickens I was thinking of comfrey and sunflower seeds.
Also and herb garden would be nice.
It would also be cool to grow elderberries to make my own syrup for the kids too.
So similar to me! Eating everything from my own garden or the Farmer's market... Still loads of issues, then... Carnivore!
This is AWESOME! Great job!

Whoa, you sound like a totally different person! Congrats! And thanks for sharing!
@@homesteadingwithPJ Thank you! I feel like it! Would you be interested in joining me for a podcast episode? You have an amazing story!
Love your videos and your vibe and your sense of humor! Keep making videos, you're great at it :)
Oh, you're very nice!
Fantastic result, such a concise comentary, love it!
Has anyone lessened or fixed their nerve pain with this plan? Thank you for the interesting video as I have experienced some of those issues.
Congrats on your success and great video. Thank you for the info. I'm about to start my carnivore journey next week. Prepping the house and pantry this week.
I was curious if you can share some info on that body scan
It was an Inbody Scan, and I plan to do a Dexa scan in couple of months.
Inbody scan came up at around 19% body fat.
Quality content delivered very well. Great channel mate!
Loved your video!!! I laughed out loud a few times!!!!!!!!!
I will be 100 days next 02 february next week on this carnivore journey. My issue was diabetic type 2, my pain has gone too. Now I fell like 23 yo even i am 64yo. I didnt lost weight at this time even I running 7,5 miles 3X a week, and 13 miles biking. But my health was change definitely these days. The first time I hear about this plantar fasciitis. So Amazing your history, thanks for sharing.
Hi PJ. I’m so glad to hear about your testimony concerning poop. I’ve been plagued with that issue my whole life. You stated increasing fat as a antidote…I’m going to try. Later on if I flex, it will be adding onion.
I don't actually own a sous vide, instead I smoke my steaks at 165 degrees, until they hit internal 125 degrees, then sear for 1-2 minutes on each side. Perfection.
I found 2 supplements that help HUGELY with constipation. 1 Daily Bowel Regularity (it’s a probiotic) byLife Extension and 2… Gut Motility by Enzymedica. Game changers, both of them. And although Im very meat & egg heavy, I still eat cruciferous vegetables 2 or 3 times a week l
Every symptom you have described is exactly something I've been suffering with. I'm ready for this diet. I think my only problem is the alcohol situation.😢
Glad to know I'm not alone. You got this!
Thank you for all the information. It’s very helpful.

I have diabetic neuropathy in my toes and it went away the third day of carnivore. The thought of it coming back keeps me on the diet and not cheating.
Wow, another great testimony of carnivore!
I had plantar fasciitis for 8 months. Went keto and 2 weeks later the pain was completely gone.
I love weird personal stories! Liked and subscribed 😁
Thank you for the video! Im just starting out this week and its encouraging to hear success stories
Thanks for sharing your expierience, it is important to help others to see the light. Well done, God bless!
I haven’t been able to squat and deadlift for like a couple years because of low back pain, and doing Tae Kwon do with my daughters sometimes also gets extremely painful mid class in my low back after doing a lot of kicks. Looking forward to seeing if a change in diet can fix this as I LOVE deadlifting and squatting.
Honestly this diet got me EXCITED to deadlift again. Good luck!
first time viewer. I have 4 of the 5 things you mentioned. I am in the headspace right now where I am going out of my way to not buy my old "staple" foods. It is certainly causing me to eat more when I'm grilling. Ideally, thats the right way, but I'm struggling to cut out some of my favorites. If you are telling me that if I really commit to this for that short of a time, I shouldn't not do it right?? Subscribed.
My experience has taught me that it's best to go all in, deal with the carb cravings for 2 weeks, then go for another 30-60 days, and see how you feel.
If you're constantly going in and out of carnivore and mixing in old SAD foods, you'll do more harm than good in the long run. Just my opinion without knowing much about you, or what your old favorites are.
@@homesteadingwithPJ The hard part is definitely going to be not cheating.
It's always available, everywhere.
So pleased you have had such relief and improvements
God Bless you and your family ❤
I’m so happy for you. Carnivore for the win, win.
You’re funny! I’ve had some of those problems too thanks for sharing!
Happy to hear your success. I was thrown off when the clip stated you were not planning on staying carnivore. I don’t see eating off plan because of your family tradition not being carnivore. Only caveat would be if it caused distress, wishing continued success.
LOVED this video, PJ ! All grist to my mill: I'm starting on carnivore next Monday and am hugely excited about it.
However, unlike you I intend to stay carnivore until I die.
Still, seeing as how I'm 81 now, it ain't so radical, eh ? [grin]
I did get hemmroids at 30 but that was due to a rough childbirth but lasted for years, since carnivore I no longer need my cholesterol or blood pressure meds
Carnivore wins again.
Seriously, thanks for sharing!
I completely agree with you. Even if you cut out all processed foods and cook all your own meals, you don't get the same benefits as a carnivore. I've tried a diet where I only buy foods that look like they do in their original form and then cook them, but that doesn't help as much as a carnivorous diet. Lower back pain, that's real, no doctor can really help that, they will fix you up only when you can't get out of bed. Go to your auto mechanic with a car that sometimes gives you weird problems and they'll all tell you, come back when the car stops working and we'll fix it for you.
You have a great channel and you noticed Carnivore Video has the most views and subscribers. I would be very interested in seeing how you grow and make your own food as a homestead person and what the actual cost is. As an example, grain for chickens and egg yield. Or your chickens find their own feed.
That analogy of the auto mechanic is spot-on! That's the modern western medical system for you in a nutshell!
Yes, topics like that are certainly on the horizon for this channel. And, a few more carnivore topics will be sprinkled in too.
I started keto back in January (again), and now I am doing carnivore. I am amazed at how quickly my hemorrhoids shrunk, and in terms of mental health, I am no longer on medication (Prozac) for depression or anxiety. I can finally cry and experience emotions APPROPRIATELY. I felt so blunted on Prozac, and didn't cry in years, but at least I wasn't depressed, I guess. I am just amazed at the results. Also, the fat loss is nice. I am down 30 kilos. ☺
This is amazing! Congratulations on your progress, thanks for sharing!
I was the opposite from constipated (almost 2 yrs). It went away on the 3rd day!!! Same with joint pain upon sitting or standing for long periods of time. Anxiety (anguish)/depression from hormonal changes due to perimenopausal time (im almost 50 yrs old). The perimenopausal weight that kept creeping UP and never went down no matter how much "healthy" i did. I went from 185 to 150 in almost 2 months in. All my sugarholic cravings went away. Thinking i could do a little bit of sugar and get away with it was so WRONG. It hurt me because im a sugarholic, so i had to get back into no sugar when cravings hit, even if i had to whimper away from the sweets, knowing that cravings WILL go away. My body has inflammation again, but slowly on the road to recovery and yes, ive learned my lesson 😢
Wow! Awesome results! What a great story, thanks for sharing with us all. I love everyone's perspective.
I am on meat and fruit.
And the occasional vegetable - usually zucchini. Works well for me. I learnt not to 'cut out' anything but instead choose to eat those things that make me feel good. Restrictions of 'never' eating something are usually people's issues on why they can't stick to it !
Me too, i'm on Meat, eggs, Salt and fruit !!!
All the ailments that improved or went away most likely come back if you eat the old ways.
The carnivore diet is a great elimination diet and if you re-introduce 1 food at a time, you will find out which foods are causing you issues.
Wishing you all the best
So glad you are feeling better! Wow! Those are really impressive results. :)
So I am a week in to Carnivore, although I feel like I have been my whole life but because "eating healthy" has meant eating vegetables as well I have always done just that because that is what is socially acceptable. Has anyone else been told by a waitress"not friends with salad are you mate?" Well I certainly have. Anyway, my point is that your video has helped heaps mainly because it is the reality of the carnivore diet with a lot of good tips and a bit of humor mixed in.
Thanks.
Ha! I'm sorry you've been pestered for so long, that sounds tiring. If you tell people you're trying an elimination diet to help with health issues then they get off your back about not eating vegetables (from my experience).
Amazing story! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for your honesty!! ❤
I hit the like button as soon as you went into the hemorrhoid bit 😂👍
