- Not every adventure ends up in an awesome state of flow and badassery. Sometimes we just derp our way down trails, scared out of our minds to try anything too scary, and maybe crash a couple of times along the way. Still, any day on a bike is a good day. We really enjoyed this trail and we're looking forward to coming back one day and conquering some of the features we missed.

Awwww YEA!
Duke et al are officially back for summer time fun!
🤘yeah boi😁
Oooppsss...easy easy😯
Your videos are great! The Corey cam will be missed! Cheers!
Thanks! It'll be back one day. 😁
I have been following your videos and I have to say, you guys are fun to watch. I admire how much you've been able to progress after watching some of the newer videos. It's impressive. Stay safe and keep having fun!
Thank you! 😊
Oh no! You poor guy! This is one of. My favorite channels! Glad Cory loves her new bike!
Thanks! 😅 She's in love with her bike. 😁
Case-aholic 💀😆 I'm stealing that one !
love to see your videos, some much fun you have.
Thanks!
We live here in Hendersonville/Brevard area, and you guys have ridden more trails than me in the 5 years I’ve lived here. Thanks for giving me ideas on where to ride. Just rode Kanuga Mtn Bike Park last week for first time and am not a fan. I prefer the variety of Dupont for my style of biking. Good videos. Thx
You guys are lucky to have dozens of trails around you. Everything from DH to XC stuff. Dupont is pretty great too. I especially like Burnt Mountain Trail over there.
Glad you enjoy the content. 😁👍
Nice
Man I love your videos. Gonna miss Cory's mid trail stoke cuts. Maybe some day the gear won't be such a burden and they will come back!
🤞fingers crossed 🤞
Looks like you all had a fun run even for early in the season.
Pisgah is always fun. 😁
It is great to see super good riders just ripping, but I really appreciate riders who have the judgement to know when to not to do something and put it on camera. A great example that might keep some other developing riders, like me, out of the emergency room and on our bikes👍
It’s all about judgement. Knowing what you’re limitations are and riding within them.
Yup. Better to ride another day. 😁👍
Well said
"we're Michigan flat Landers"😂 so am I that drop looks terrifying even on camera
lol yup. it was our first real trip out for '21. Didn't want to get hurt before summer even arrived.
4:54 what about a chin mounted gopro?
That's a much lighter option
She still doesn't like that either. She says it pulls the front of her helmet down.
Dont feel bad about getting tossed, i was at Uwharrie maybe 4 months ago and on a marked 'blue' trail that many riders feel should be black and loaded with rocks and tight passages in some areas and i ended up down a ravine about 20 feet and the bike even further down, it was enough to move the handlebars and i bruised my ribs. Falling on rocks isnt like hitting leaves or dirt, easy to get hurt.
Sold my 2019 RM Instinct BC and might be looking for a light high end shorter travel or XC bike
Ouch. Yup, rocks are definitely no fun to fall onto. I hope your rib is all healed up by now.
I had bruised my rib in 2019 too. I kept riding, but I had to hold my breath on some descents so it didn't hurt so bad. 😅 Took about 4 months to fully heal.
@@dukeofmtb Thanks, yes now all healed up but the 1st few weeks had pain sleeping one 1 side. I am looking at the 2021 Spectral 29 LTD, its 6 grand with all top level parts. I had a 2018 27.5 6.0 as my 1st full suspension bike to see if/how i would like full suspension. Sold my Instinct BC for $4750.00 in a few days, i wanted 5 but he offered 4750.00. Not sure yet if i want another trail/enduro bike or a nice 24 pound XC bike?
@@zxtenn Sweet choice. The new Spectral is badass.
Most of your videos I've noticed hikers sharing the mtb trails. Is that very common in America? Strange considering the trails look mostly designed for biking.
Or I guess these aren't trail centres?
Also has Cory tried the go pro chin mount like you?
Yes. Unless it's a dh bike park, expect hikers. Especially on the east side of the country. The trails are so tight here that you don't see the hikers until you're practically on top of them too.
She has. She says it weighs the front of her helmet down. She really just wants clips of her hitting features for Instagram. She's never really liked riding with all the camera gear.
Same in Cincinnati Ohio, same in St. Louis Missouri. What's baffling is when walkers don't yield when their life is clearly in danger. I get that most city ordinances say we (riders) are supposed to yield to them but what's easier, stopping 200 pounds is moving mass or merely stepping to the side..? especially when we outnumber them 4:1
@@jordanprysmiki5361 Yeah, descenders yielding to climbers doesn't really work on most eastern trails. The trails are too tight with very short visibility with all the trees and foliage. In the west, it's much more wide open. Trees and foliage are less dense. You can see much further down the trail. In Pisgah, you don't usually see the climber until it's too late to stop. They can hear you coming long before you see them. Fortunately, most regular hikers in those areas are aware of this and take no issue with yielding to people coming down on bikes.
You guys rock! I'm still trying to figure out the dialects you guys are speaking at times.. What is it if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks! We're speaking Ilocano. A commonly spoken language in the northern parts of Luzon in the Philippines.
This is so entertaining! Love the trail too!
Thanks!
awesome video! where is the best place to park to do avery creek? if you had to pick 2-3 trails that are a must do in pisgah what would they be?
I don't remember the best parking spots since it's been a while since we rode there. Trailforks can help you with that.
Kitsuma, Bennett Gap, and Trace Ridge are a few of our favorite Pisgah singletracks, Bennett Gap especially. 😁👍
thank you for the quick reply!!@@dukeofmtb
Smashed balls and got wet. Really cool trail though. Looks like it keeps you on your toes.
😂🤣 yup 😅
How are you liking the Commencal? I remember commenting on your review vid that i just preordered but I recently cancelled that preorder. I wouldn’t get that til October. That’s way too long for me to wait
Most bikes are pretty hard to get these days.
I love the new Meta TR. I like how it fits and the geo is perfect. Steep seat tube and super slack head angle is the way to go.
Any chance you’re going to be at boyne this weekend?
We'll have to see what the weather is like. 😁
Nice video! just visited Avery Creek 2 weeks ago and it was so much fun. Pinoy?
Awesome! Yup, Pinoy kami. 😁
Same here. Based out of Long Island, NY. What dialect were you speaking?
@@georgejavier2408 Illocano. We're from northern Luzon.
Awesome! Ride safe !
@@georgejavier2408 Thanks! You too! 😁👍
How are those Fox forks ? Are they worth the money?
The fork perforns great but I don't think the Kashima stanchions are worth it. The one with black stanchions works the same anyway. But if you already have a Lyrik Ultimate or something, its not worth swapping. People make a big deal about it, but they're both equally good forks.
Gotta get Cory a mic,it's just not the same not hearing Cory.
Luckily, she's mic'd up in the next vid I'm working on. 😁👍
Michigan flat landers lol
Ouchy balls 🤭😅
lol. yup 🤣
If any of you are commencal riders with a 50 mm ride alpha stem I would like to swap you for my 30 mm.
