5:00 my favorite thing about this play is the oklahoma wide receiver #85 just sitting their admiring the amazing interception just to get taken out by an insane blind side block a second later
Yeah...too bad the play was illegal since the defender batted the ball forward to his teammate. Why does everyone keep praising this play? It was a forward lateral.
As an Ole miss fan and a Saints fan, loved him because he was great and college but he sucks for you guys but I’m glad he does. Hopefully you’ll have to start him with diggs gone

The LSU 75 yard pass on the last play against Kentucky needs to be on this compilation. Also, the 2 point conversion by Boise against Oklahoma should follow the hook and lateral play. Finally, Clint Stoerner putting the ball down on the ground to brace himself as he is stumbling and leaving it there for Tennessee to recover and drive to win the game in their NC season should definitely be on here.
I've seen a few of these when they were live on tv. Not much can compare to that Boise State comeback as well as the following unshown two point conversion. I still get goosebumps.
Okay a rule check , does a body part have t be touching the ground to me in or just pass the line ? As his foot definitely didn’t look in for a touchdown
@@highbreednightfall8235 in college one foot has to be touching the ground, where as in NFL both your feet have to be touching the ground. If any part of your feet are touching the ground, then it counts

"oh! And the band is on the field!!!" and The crowd at Auburn when Chris Davis took that missed FG back are two of all time favorites. Honestly, nothing against Bama fans, but the whole nation was screaming when Chris Davis returned that kick. And I still, to this day, think it's the loudest, most passionate crowd I've ever heard. Gives me chills all these years later and I'm not even an Auburn fan.

Thanks for showing the good and bad with some hail mary's for us and against us. Did i miss the mizzou catch though when Frost was QB to keep our National Championship stakes alive?
I love college football! My dad taught at Northwestern and we saw the best teams. We watched the games together on TV on ABC and called plays to guess what would happen. What great memories that have stayed with me! I later worked for ABC supporting college football. Keith Jackson and Vern Lundquist were favorites. Those were the days!
I'm a Dawg fan, can't stand Georgia tech or Tennessee obviously, but the blocked fg gt vs fsu, and the Tennessee td, Dobbs to Jennings are still amongst my favorite college football plays of all time
Tn fan here. Georgia has gotten burned a few times with last second plays. I couldn't believe the Georgia vs Auburn play a few years back. I almost fainted watching that. They are due some luck coming there way. Hopefully they will get it vs Alabama this year.
Let's do the math...there are over 500 college football teams from D1 through D3. That means on any given Saturday there are about 200-250 games with content to choose from and you dare compare the quality of that product to 16 games featuring the biggest, strongest, fastest, most athletic players that made the cut into the NFL as more interesting? Don't even bother defending yourself.
The bears have won, the bears have won !!!! Maaan wish all the announcers were like that one LOL truly you can feel his emotions and love for the game 14:40
Yep, good'ole Joe Starkey. Used to listen to him announce all the 49ers games when I was growing up. My mom knows his wife Diane, they used to work at the same place. Joe was great, a Bay Area icon for sure, I miss him on the radio and TV.
I watched that game live.. that guy that got crushed at the end with the Stanford band was on the carson show a few days later with his destroyed trombone haha
Thanks for getting Tanner Mangum's most memorable play into your collection - BYU @ NEB. The hype forced on that decent kid was over the top, coaching change, some tough years in there for the guy. Nice he'll be remembered for that loft for a winning score.
It’s worse if you’re trying to root for a team because if you lose once then your chances of making the playoff drop significantly and if you lose twice then it’s literally impossible. And if you root for a non-power 5 school then you might as well not even watch (unless your favorite team is UCF). But it’s much better if you just wanna sit back and enjoy the chaos
Is their something wrong with you ? How many footballs have you ever caught behind your back? zero How many have you caught in a game? Zero Your name should be ZERO
Frazier starts at QB in 3 National Title games and Eddie George gets it??? So many reasons to believe a bias exists against the Cornhuskers but that takes the cake!
If you don't care about the quality of the players or level of play, some of the craziest plays in football happened in my parents' backyard when I was aged 7 to14 years old.
I'd add the Bluegrass Miracle to the list. LSU's last play of the game tipped pass completion to Devery Henderson for the game winning touchdown vs Kentucky. Early 2000s. LSU was down by a few points before the play, Like, 80 yards out with not much hope for victory.

You know, I wish there was a Kentucky play in there once or twice. Like the pick six against South Carolina in 2014, or the last second touchdown pass to Stevie Johnson against Louisville in 2007
Poor Michigan is in all of these greatest, unbelievable, crazy, bizarre, unexpected plays of college history. That loss they had to Michigan State came out of nowhere. And whenever you have a crazy ending, Sean McDonough will be there.
#20 for Michigan State actually dislocated his hip as he was tackled into the end zone for the touchdown. I can't even imagine how painful that must have been getting mobbed in the chaos of the celebration! Just an absolutely wild play from start to finish.
As a Cal alum I may be a bit biased but how can The Play (starting at 14:18) be anything but the top pick?! It was absolute magic; it was the best of college sports, combining raw talent with the will and hope of young players who refuse to give up, even when winning looks logically impossible. A series of unplanned and incredible laterals, all legal and all successful despite the many Stanford defensive players present (any of those players could have swatted down a lateral or attempted to intercept the ball but it flew by each of them), and the triumphant run into the end zone with the most memorable end zone moment in college history. Nobody can ever forget the screaming, the confused Stanford band, the shocked expressions of the fans on both sides until Cal fans realized what their Bears had accomplished, and the most famous lines in college football history: “THE [Stanford] BAND IS OUT ON THE FIELD!
