You do a Terminus review and Ambiguous Amphibian drops a long for Terminus VOD within an hour of each other and they show up side by side in my feed... Man, I've really dialed in my preferences with the algorithm 😄
Dude, I am zooming. I’m all over the place watching videos like crazy on UA-cam and your video popped up and it said zombie and it looked like a good review. I am super excited. ADHD and it’s worse, but I’ll try to stay as long as possible and watch till the end.!!!! 😂
Be careful with ADHD. I was left untreated for 45 years and my life was ruined. I am medicated and recovering each day going forward. Take care of yourself please. =]
I liked Neo Scavenger quite a bit, though it seemed somewhat impossible to actually 'win' the game. It felt like the designer ran out of steam before actually finishing it. This looks like a more polished version. I'm looking forward to trying it.
I can understand that. Terminus definitely isn't too hard to finish if you just gun it for the Terminus location as soon as you discover where it's at.
From what i played so far the best description for the game is Turn Based Zomboid. I like how you have multiple endings as well such as escape on either a boat or helicopter and effectively make the Vaccine
@@MrAtomicDuck thank you for answering my qwestion. Did you hear about Survivalist: The invisible strain? It is a great survival plus building game with zombies
Sponsored always makes me consider if the reviewer was genuinely impressed with the game. Guess this video shouldn't since you explained why. But I can't shake the feeling
Unfortunately the moment you said 'Turn Based Gameplay' I lost interest. There's nothing wrong with Turn Based games but they are not for me. I was hoping for something a bit more 3D as well.
@@LilSilverTimmy thanks. I’ve since purchased the game. The run time varies depending on how you plan to escape. I just finished a speed run straight north to Terminus that I did in 3 game days. Other ways, such as escape via boat or helicopter is a little more time consuming.
I'll maybe try it, but quick glance at the game's description and it says it is turn based. I don't know what's up with me but the only turn based games that I could ever stand in my life was HOMM 3 and Undertale, I just hate turn based combat.
I just wanted to add as someone who loves turn based games. There's absolutely nothing wrong not liking turn based games. Think the only issue is when you get people saying the game is objectively bad because it's turn based. It's just a preference for fun. :)
Why play this when CDDA exists though? I mean that's always been the argument here. CDDA is ultimately way more in depth and better than PZ, but PZ has better graphics and isn't as visually limited.
CDDA was way too complex for me. Like, I recognize it's a great game, and I really did give it a solid try but I just couldn't wrap my head around the controls. This was way easier to grasp.
@@MrAtomicDuck thanks for the answer. I gave CDDA a go. I also will give terminus a go. But the overall graphical style. Top down and 2D, is just something I don't enjoy. But your video convinced me to go ve terminus a fair chance and give it a few runs. Maybe I will warm up with that game. The mechanics seem really deep, like PZ.
🤔 This game it's awesome and getting sponsored for them, sounds like a win win situation. The problem it's when somebody gets sponsored to promote blatantly a bad game.
I mean for sure. There's a balance to be struck at all times. The trouble can often be creators won't know if the game is good until after we've signed a contract.
I tried playing this game its almost unplayable. even though you are able to use your mouse while playing the game there is no mouse cursor so you cant use it. the controllers are only 1/2 compatable you HAVE to use the analog sticks or you wont be able to play sorry all us Directional pad players cant be reprogramed. I wasnt even able to get into the game cause of all the control issues. The game is in its earliest of BETAs and shouldnt be endorsed by anyone.
I'm not sure why you had no cursor because I definitely did 🤔 Might be worth looking for help on their Discord, this sounds like a tech issue that could be resolved.
Interaction Statistics only matter if i post somthing meaningful. One comment dosent make a difference. It's like trying to save all the stranded starfish in the world. One st a time. You can't make a difference *throws a starfish back into the ocean. Made a difference to that one.
Naaaaaaaaah, definitely not for 25 bucks. I bought it, played through once, reached Terminus, and I don't feel the slightest need to play again. The whole "replayability" gimmick is a scam, it's like the differently colored ending slides in ME3. It's definitely not worth the money, maybe if it's on sale for like 10 dollars, tops. I haven't played DDA, but I have played tons of PZ and NScav and this just feels like a dumbed down, boring version of those. By the way, it took me 3 hours to win, so I'm outside the refund window - and the studio removed the demo to force sales... dick move.
I like those kinda games spend my youth playing text type of that in the internet cafe, I can't buy it though since "our" russian fuhrer putin still alive...
I swear build 42 for zomboid is like a mythical creature that everyone knows exists yet has never seen it
The same was said about build 41….
I want to say that the way that you structure your videos into chapters makes them feel very well put together and professional. Keep it up!
Thank you!

Think a few PZ creators are covering this one, and rightly so, it's been a blast.
when i hear terminus i always have to think of the walking dead
This looks cool. Like a DnD party in a zombie apocalypse
I've wanted to get this for a while, seeing you and Predz cover it makes me want to get it even more!
Definitely worth grabbing man :)
Just got it last night!
I played this game like a year ago and i fell in love with it, the dev really likes his game and has put a lot of attention to new updates.

Hahaha, I appreciate the support my dude!
bro go to therapy 😭😭
Gotta get off The tick tock
Read a book bro

Would’ve loved this in my childhood browser game era
From what i played so far the best description for the game is Turn Based Zomboid. I like how you have multiple endings as well such as escape on either a boat or helicopter and effectively make the Vaccine
I've yet to be able to make the vaccine successfully, but I've been close! Right now I'm working on a fortified house.
Project Zomboid needs more events and it needs objectives like escaping. Wolf Extraction Quest is cool, but we need more.
Turn based roguelike zombie survival game with a nice art style? COUNT ME IN!
The art style is dope. I love games like this that actually do something a bit different.
I actually bought this game waiting for the 1.0 ages ago
OG gamer :D
@MrAtomicDuck yeah thank you for reminding me its actually launched now in 1.0
I like it what Terminus can offer. Can we make realitionships with survivors?
It'd be cool to see a bit more relationship development for sure. Right now you just recruit them, and then they're playable.
@@MrAtomicDuck thank you for answering my qwestion. Did you hear about Survivalist: The invisible strain? It is a great survival plus building game with zombies
I think only successful runs count towards out of run progression like trait and character unlocks
Looks kinda like the board game "Last Night on Earth" and a bit of "Zombies" mixed together.
Sponsored always makes me consider if the reviewer was genuinely impressed with the game. Guess this video shouldn't since you explained why. But I can't shake the feeling
I get it. Best thing to do if I really can't convince you is to try yourself and refund within 2 hours if it's not for you :)
I love zomboid but this is the exact same roguelike set up I always hoped it would get.
Definitely give this a try then! I hope you enjoy it :)
I would like more item variety and crafting. You cant make torch...
I.ve been play the hell out of this game lately!
Me too man, me too.
A strong modding scene ensures longevity. Games should strive to create an active community
Good game man Thanks I played Project Zomboid cause of you and i buy the game from steam thanks again man for the informative video in this game.
Hope you enjoy it!
Have you played draft of darkness? It would be an awesome game to see on here
Purchased immediately.
Heck yeah. Hope you enjoy it!
@@MrAtomicDuck Playing now on Steam Deck and enjoying myself quite a bit. Fantastic controller / deck support.
That's good to hear, I hadn't tried controller!
the counts will go up after you and the AA :D
I hope so! It deserves the attention!
@@MrAtomicDuck bought it yesterday.
Still hard: more exxpensive than PZ
Should have payed more for Zomboid
@@MrAtomicDuck reminds me strongly of "this war of mine", the gameplayloop. Also recommended. But depressing
I saw that goku lmao

Seems good but pz remains far closer to my needs
I must of missed it, but did anyone catch how long an average run is?
I looked it up and it seems like it takes 3-4hrs for a complete run through, could be wrong tho
@@LilSilverTimmy thanks. I’ve since purchased the game. The run time varies depending on how you plan to escape. I just finished a speed run straight north to Terminus that I did in 3 game days. Other ways, such as escape via boat or helicopter is a little more time consuming.

I get it, it's not for everyone, but if you're up for something different it really does work for Terminus imo.
@@MrAtomicDuck ey man, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't play PZ and Battlebit, two wonderful games. I'll give the game a chance since you recommend it.

I LOVE turn based games, but this was tedious. Fallout 1+2 are my favorites. But I got a refund after 30 min.
Didn't mention if it was co-op or not
Entirely single player.
Great game!
lyda sworn to carry ur burden anyway so its fine haha

Cannibalism?
Not that I've seen
