Those values are stamped on the injectors during the manufacturing process. The injectors contain a piezo electric element. Due to the differences in conductivity of the piezo crystals, each injector has a slightly different tolerances when it is manufactured. All injectors go through a testing process in the factory and their measured tolerances are stamped onto their casings. When you replace injectors, you simply tell the ECU what are those tolerances.
Short answer: Yes. Long answer: The injectors contain a special piezoelectric element inside to control the fueling. Due to the manufacturing process and the differences in the physical properties of those piezoelectric components, each injector has slightly different operating parameters. Brand new injectors are tested on the production line to determine exactly how much fuel they will flow and exactly at what voltage. Those numbers are then stamped onto the injectors and you enter in INPA
Thanks for this video Vasil!! I had to update my INPA to allow the injector coding, but this helped me swap all 6 injectors DIY!!! Thanks for sharing it!!
Hi, nice video, well done. My question: after changing the joule- and flowthroug-value, only the click on OK is needful to overwright the values inside the car SG? After that, disconnect INPA and everything is fine? Regards Jay
hi thats really what i need having inpa with me at some point i swap my injectors unknowingly and injector number 5 seems to be out of specs. its a bmw x53 e53 3.0d 2003... all im seeing on the left side of injector is many numbers which of them is enrgy and flow
You don't have these values on your injectors! You have a classic injector. The video shows a piezo injector, this one is different. You need INPA/E53/ENGINE/M57N/ACTIVATE/IMA, then copy the code from the injector that is not working properly into the table.
thanks for the video! do you think you could link me to the correct hardware needed to complete this job? as well as any/all the software i would need to download? thanks!
i guess stupid question, but how do you know which values to enter? are they written on the injectors somewhere or how. once values entered, does the car ecu adjust to the new injector? thanks

Hi, how you clean errors with inpa ? When I click "CLEAN" , error is still there.
Any way to tell if I have a D-CAN OBDII cable? I have a generic OBDII cable and can't tell. I am unable to use INPA following proper installation on Win7 w/ XP mode. XP mode recognizes the serial device though.
Hi, in the video I reads RESET in the section injector. If I rest above, what is what that resets injectors? That put back them in value Safety, in the video I read RESET in the section injector. If I rest above, what is what that resets injectors? That puts back them to the values of factory or not? I replaced two injectors, the engine works but I find that injectors sell too fast of the blow I would like to try to put back them all to zero Thank you
Vasil. A bit of help needed. I show all the same files on Inpa the only difference is that I dont get the option to select the injector coding. My file is missing this part. Any thoughts as to why?
I have quite a few inpa softwares downloaded from various sites. Some displays MSD80 Main Menu in German, some in English. When I press F9 (System) and then Shift+F4, I get sys-0010 error message, therefore, unable to continue coding injectors. Could you offer a link for working INPA please. I am running WinXP. All other settings and configuration ok to the best of my knowledge.
Hi this is a great video well done. Can you help me and explain how do you know what are the correct values to input?? how did you know which numbers to use??? Kind regards Mike
Hopefully someone can answer this for me but i dont have a BMW , instead i have a jaguar x type 07 , thats 11 years old now and i want to code my injectors as the timing is gone off , how do i get the software to do this ? or where can i get it? i think a ford software would work for this model as the xtype is basically a ford mondeo
Hi, so I have been able to install INPA properly and am able to show ignition and battery on my e92 n54 however after choosing e90 I am unable to choose msd80, or anything for that matter it just says invalid... any clue or guidance on what to do?
Do you know how to test solenoid valves in auto gearbox for an e60 with inpa? My torque converter does not lock up, and need to know why. Any idea how to test?
I tried the same thing to do to look injector and never prodašao. sent that I switched off the car turned off and all visiting will not start :o whether someone can help?
Privet Vasil Please help me brother. I get the error #100 sys-0010 initialization error when i try to communicate with the module. do you have any idea what my communication issue is?
hey what was the fix for this i had the exact same error #100 code pop up spent 4 hours trying to solve it. still trying to code my injector. if you could please let me know that would be great. thanks!!!
This is a direct injection engine. There are no larger injectors available for this engine unless port injection has been added. Port injection is usually controlled via a standalone system.
Why am I getting an error message when I type in the new values? They’re definitely the correct ones yet it keeps saying “error_ecu_conditions_not_correct_or_request_sequence_error” ??
I tried this and got a little pop up message saying "ApiResultText: Error #95 SYS-0005: OBJECT FILE NOT FOUND API job error or no such result! Continue script processing?" I just changed my injectors and am trying to code them. Car I'm working on is an 07 335i with N54. It also has a jb4. Would you have any idea on this? Thanks in advance!
Those are the actual operating parameters for the injectors. Each injector is slightly different from the rest. They get tested on the production line and their operating parameters get stamped on them. Those parameters must be entered into the ECU in order for the injectors to function correctly. This DIY explains how to code in new injectors.
MSD80 Menu F1 (electronic control unit) discreption file F2 (electronic control unit) identifikation F3 Operator infofield / Vehicle ID / Date of coding changes / Software Version /Vehicle Production Number of Manufacturer F4 Error Memory.. F5 Analog Values / Digital Values (State) // Pre injection / Air pressure / Active injection rate (without ARD = cog minizing) and other values.. F6 // Control Element of Enginedrive /! I believe ! at example: camshaft and top dead center, bottom dead center and other parts (balance tuning settings) F7 Read Memory F8 Delete adaptionsvalues selectively // delete choosed parameters or adaptionvalues // mixture correction value of lambda?? F9 Diagnosis of System F10 Exit
How you know that? And why need to code injector if replaced more than 2? I have a problems with an 2013 BMW X3 4 cylinder engine got locked because all 4 injectors been injecting too much fuel dealer told me that I need to change 4 injectors so I changed the engine complete with injectors and the same problem same fault codes so after they told me injectors need to be code Could be that only the problem if code the injectors fuel system will work normal or could be something else? I hope you help me if you know
With these cars, they have precise injector values to control exactly how much fuel is being injected into the cylinder and at what intervals. If you do not code the injectors, the cars computer will work off different values compared to the injectors set values, and will cause performance decrease, gas economy decrease, and engine instability. These are very fragile cars that need precise computing, unfortunately.
Those values are stamped on the injectors during the manufacturing process. The injectors contain a piezo electric element. Due to the differences in conductivity of the piezo crystals, each injector has a slightly different tolerances when it is manufactured. Perfect! No more cyl 6 misfire and yellow half engine light! Thanks!
Thank you ! A very competitive answer regarding injector problems. Congratulations.

Vasil Lalov Do you have an email or Facebook? I had a question about entering the flow value?
So the numbers that u tipe on inpa for injector are stamped on injector body?
I'm confuse with that page were u get the numbers....
Thanks for this video Vasil!! I had to update my INPA to allow the injector coding, but this helped me swap all 6 injectors DIY!!! Thanks for sharing it!!
Ian Cheah how do you update the inpa?
That was an awesome video. Saved me lots of money so thanks :)
Yes it does apply to all N54 vehicles. Just follow the instructions in this video.
Yes it does. It applies to all N54 equipped vehicles!
..AND M57N??? BMW 5 E53 3,0D 160kw ?? Thanks

Hi Thats A Great Vid.
How did you know/work out what Flow Rate to put at that Energy number? ie 2.27 to go with 58.2?
Thanks

Hi, i cant see the sub menu with injektorcodierung. Do you know why
Please lmk the answer on my question. Does this apply to n54 135i?!?!!!?
very good video.
good video.
Where did u get that codes? or better, I see many numbers on my injectors but which are corrects?
Any way to tell if I have a D-CAN OBDII cable? I have a generic OBDII cable and can't tell. I am unable to use INPA following proper installation on Win7 w/ XP mode. XP mode recognizes the serial device though.
I wish I knew which version you have.
Hello, can you tell me how to register the change of battery? be it in body, but I did not get anything more
Thank you so much for this!

Wo finde ich die SOLL Werte für mein bmw e87 120d 177ps. ?
So it's been 7 years. How is that translation going for msd80?

check out cable version,and yours car,its d-can?some versions of cables,need solder 7 ,8 pin together,to make work
Thanks for the video when I put my numbers in inpa changed then to a different number is that normal?
Thank you Vasil.
Hi this is a great video well done. Can you help me and explain how do you know what are the correct values to input?? how did you know which numbers to use??? Kind regards Mike
I read the trend they are stamped on them no probs

I will do that thanks. My car is an e38, but I'll track that software down and see if it works.
How do you know what values to input into the program. I have a N54 with first-generation injectors early 2008 sedan.
The numbers are printed on the injectors themselves from the factory. Watch the video again.
Thank you

My solution was just playing 25 dollars for a bmw freelance coder to code my injectors. Fuck this guy
No, INPA is mostly for diagnostics and work on drivetrain electronics.
Is the same process used to fit larger injectors in the engine, i.e you would use the numbers from the new larger injectors?
This is a direct injection engine. There are no larger injectors available for this engine unless port injection has been added. Port injection is usually controlled via a standalone system.

turn ignition on
Anne Mwikali ignition is on throughout but still the same
Did you put in the dot? Like 58.2 and 2.27
For a 135i with n54 would I still select e90 then n54 msd80?
hello, do you have any idea on what is "UB Operating Hours" on engine status?
My inpa doesn't have selection for injector coding shift+f4.

Do I need to do this for E60 530d?
Hi and where you find the data of injector from notepad ??? :-O
Hey, do you know how can i measure the Fuel Pump values? I have since 3 Weeks Error "high pressure to low" thanks :)
I tried this and got a little pop up message saying
"ApiResultText: Error #95
SYS-0005: OBJECT FILE NOT FOUND
API job error or no such result!
Continue script processing?"
I just changed my injectors and am trying to code them.
Car I'm working on is an 07 335i with N54. It also has a jb4.
Would you have any idea on this? Thanks in advance!
KattMarl101 I have the same problem. Did you find an answer?
07 335i MHD no JB4
Elijah Ullmann kind of hard to remember now, but I think I just had my file named incorrectly. Hope that helps!
Where did you get the values from?
its on the injector itself
Theyre on the left side of the injector, like
588
227
from where you got that value table from which took values to put in?
Those are the actual operating parameters for the injectors. Each injector is slightly different from the rest. can i use inpa on my morris minor 1.0 liter supercharged V12?
LMaO...Learning experiance for me damn BMW... never thought about injector being in exact same spot i removed from...oh well live and learn
What software are you using, and where can it be found? Thanks!
Why to program it bmw e60
where do you get the zip file from?
awesome! thanks bud

Do I have to do this when I replace my injectors?
yes n54
thanks very help full. pls if you have more tech (V). put on hanif

Do you use INPA /D or INPA /P?
It's simply INPA. You're confusing INPA with ISTA, there is ISTA/D and ISTA/P, but there's only one INPA.
Добър английски , предполагам го използваш в ежедневната си работа . Аз доста трудно намирам правилните думи при заснемане на клип :D
да наистина добър, браво !
