annnnnnnnd look how fast I pressed hold at one library and suggested to another. Totally there for books that don't forget feminism's role at enlightening men on how toxic teachings have limited them too.
Thanks for this, reading it now and finding it hard to put down! If you live video games and haven't yet played Detroit, check it out, it's quite good, you get to play as 3 different androids and make moral decisions.
My mom just finished this one and liked it as well. She’s brining her copy for me to read next month, so hoping to get to it soon! Great review as always!
AI in realistic android bodies is catnip for me. (Ann Leckie’s Imperial Radch series, Martha Wells’ Murderbot, Jonathan Luna’s Alex + Ada, Winterson’s Frankissstein, Ishiguro’s Klara and the Sun, Jeff Lemire’s Descender, books by Chi Ta-Wei, Kid Toussaint, Mur Lafferty, SB Divya etc.) Need I add that Annie Bot is now on my TBR?
This sounds similar to "The Hierarchies" by Ros Anderson. With the same kind of protagonist and themes explored. It'll be really interesting to compare them.
I was unfamiliar with that book, thank you for mentioning it. Yes they do sound very similar. It would be interesting to see if the two novels are saying different things.
I don't know, my favourite read so far is Hummingbird Effect, but it wasn't shortlisted. Body Double getting this far is a really good sign for it, that's a book if it works for you, it really works.
I’ve had my eye on this one. Now I am sold!!
The pixelated cover on the thumbnail was pure click bait. Which worked. And now I want to read it! Great video, as always.
Thank you - I hope you enjoy it.
I can't stop thinking about this book, so happy to hear you review.. you captured my thoughts 😊
So good! I wish I knew more people who have read it.
Omg never been so psyched to see a book tuber promote a book! I hope so many more people will read it because it deserves so much hype ❤❤❤
I hope it is read more too! 😊
A good one - 5 stars for me!
You always give great reviews Scott. I wonder if Annie Bot will be on some prize lists in future?
Next year's Women's Prize is very possible, and it is the prize for a book like this.
this was so good. i gave it 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Great review!
