Amtrak March 2024 Round Trip from Anaheim to Goleta

We took a day trip on the Amtrak Surfliner #769 & #790 on March 16, 2024. We began at 10:10am in Anaheim, California to Goleta Amtrak Station. The #769 10:10am train from Anaheim was thirty minutes late due to a mechanical issue in San Juan Capistrano. We had lunch in Goleta (one stop past Santa Barbara). We then boarded the #790 4:40pm back to Anaheim. In the morning, there were plain, apple and chocolate pastries, bottle water, coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate, plus they passed out a snack box. In the afternoon, you had a choice of one alcoholic drink per person (must be 21 years old), bottled water, Coke, Diet Coke, ginger ale, coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate. The soft drinks were unlimited. Plus a snack box. The morning’s plain, apple and chocolate pastries were still available.
