    The way you speak to your husband....

    • @PennsylvaniaPrepper
      @PennsylvaniaPrepper  3 роки тому +6

      When I showed the other comments to my husband, who I actually honor and respect, he said it sounds worse than it is. He feels my tone comes from nervousness. He forgives my tone and loudness because he knows I have the utmost respect for him, and because I also am a bit hard of hearing.
      I once got an "AW POPPYCOCK!" from another Christian when she was telling me about a disagreement with her husband (over a tree, of all things). I told her, "Ultimately, your husband is the leader of your home, and you should respect his decision"
      I realize telling you this doesn't excuse my tone, loudness or word choice, but maybe it'll help explain it, and also my feelings as to my husband's place in our home.

    Butter powder is made from actual butter, nonfat milk solids, sodium caseinate (milk protein) and disodium phosphate (an anti-caking additive).I still prefer Red Feather canned butter - the taste is "Real Butter" because it is real butter. 10 year shelf life.

    I ordered a can of this along with other dehydrated stuff for cooking two days ago from Amazon and the butter was $37 for the 2lb can then the following day they advertised it for $20 a can of 2lb. I ordered two more cans and I'm returning the first order for $37 the second I get it, do these prices fluctuate this drastically

    • @PennsylvaniaPrepper
      @PennsylvaniaPrepper  3 роки тому +3

      The prices do fluctuate alot. I have a 'buy price' for most things. If I'm new to an item, haven't used it before, I'll use an app like Honey, it tracks prices for 30-180 days. You can also get a notice when the price drops.
      If I find a very low price, like when I got a #10 can of green beans for $10, I'll transfer budget money from one part of the budget to another. Then, I stock up. We bought 4 cases of those beans, that was 24 cans. We love green beans, we also can use them as barter, or even sell them for double what we paid.

    Years ago I read about making powdered butter and milk: it's warmed and sprayed in a very fine mist in a chamber where the water evaporates and the solids collect on the sides of the chamber to be scraped off as powder. Definitely not a home process!

    Can someone help me??? This doesn't add up for me. Compared to real butter in the store: One pound of real butter is 3200 calories and 352 grams of fat. This entire can has only 7140 calories and 122.5 Grams of fat. For the calories and fat, it only equals about 2.2 pounds of butter or 9 sticks. I ordered a can of this thinking it was equivalent to 6 pounds of butter but now I don't think so. I used the serving size instead of the calories and fat for comparison.
