They also have similar race progressions over the 60m. Finally to top it off, Terrence is still only 20 and improving rapidly. Don’t be surprised if he winds up running 9.8 this summer.

Idk about the 100, people have been sleeping on Kerley his whole career. Noah definitely improved in the 60, but only by .04, and Kerley is already a full tenth of a second faster than Lyles in the 100. Not to mention Kerley still has room to improve. My money’s on Fred this year
@@jeffitachi2589 If the wind reading was officially -4.8, that would actually be more of a discredit than anything, since the strongest headwind ever for a sub 10 race was -3.0 in a 9.99 run. 9.81 with -4.8 would be too good to be true.
Sad to say but I'm just waiting out for Omanyala to get popped just as a lot of other Kenyan athletes are doing at the moment. I hope not, but it's only a matter of time
They have to correct baton issues first before they can think about breaking records. Then second they have to hope that their top runners aren't injured. Fred Kerley couldn't even run in the relay in last year's world championships due to being injured.
I don't think they're stacked enough to beat the 4x100 WR. The PBs of the sprinters who hold that record are 9.58, 9.69, 9.78 & 9.88. Even if all 4 runners are capable of 9.7x (which atm neither Coleman or Lyles is, maybe this year though) that still doesn't average out to fast enough due to Bolt & Blake bringing down the average time needed. The average 100m time for the 4x100 relay in terms of PBs is a 9.73! Not a single runner on the US team has ever run a 9.73. Ofc all 4 Jamaican runners were not necessarily in their prime when they broke the WR, but Bolt ran a 9.63 that year, so he was close. I believe 2012 was the year Blake ran his 9.69? " Let me know if you think this was the right move for Norman " you said. Answer - NO! I think he is making a BIG mistake: here's why. I understand that if you want to be a 400m superstar ( he already is ) and WR holder, you have to be easily running sub ten secs and maintain your ability/form to do that at will. However, last year he ran mid 43 secs and looked like he is ready to have a go at Wade's WR - so why drop down now? Competition well be really stiff in the 100 and 200 with Lyles, Jacobs, Bromell, Knighton, etc. Personally, I don't think Norman is a 100m runner. Yes he's super quick, but his powerful style is going to win him more medals at 400 than 100m at major races. He seems a bit clumsy style-wise over 100. He is not quite balanced in his leg movement. Kerley, Gardiner, Champion Alison, Zambrano and Wade will all be ready, but I think Norman is - if he gets his tactics right - capable of running at a level above the lot. He is probably at, or around his peak now and during the next couple of years, so I hope he listens to sound advice and sticks with the 400. A WR is on the cards in my opinion.
I think Norman will shock everyone, just like how Kerley did. 400m sprinters definitely have the stamina to keep accelerating past the line, but it usually takes them longer to hit full speed. Once Norman hits his peak, I can see him running a new PB, maybe even sub-9.80s
