    Dude, it's like you breathe music into the air on every exhale. It's amazing to see someone have so much passion.

    This is my favorite song on the album. I felt validated when Paul McCartney told Taylor in a Rolling Stone interview that he liked "Peace" and that the song stood out to him.

    Peace is one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs. It's my ring tone. Love the guitar in this song. It's a concept I've never heard in a song before. All you want to do is make your partner happy and if there's a chance you can't it must feel heartbreaking.

    I really liked the groove you played at 14:45
    Maybe you could play a cover of this song with that style, even just you in the guitar riffing on the base of the song, I bet it would sound wonderful!!

    As soon as I heard Peace I fell in love with that album. It's so vulnerable and legit moved me.

    Andrew you have a nice talent of being able to converse without having the other person respond to anything you are saying. Each of these little musical phrases give you so much food for thought. There is a certain point with a genius musician where you absolutely trust everything that they do musically. They are at a level in music where there are no mistakes only a chance to recover into an even nicer place. They carry that ability with them whatever direction they want to create in.

    i feel like "peace" is almost from the other person's perspective on "renegade"

    the “allegedly” thing jack said is bc the internet for a while (i still do) interpreted the james/betty/august storyline to be about 3 girls.

    • @Evelyn208
      @Evelyn208 2 роки тому +6

      I thought the conspiracy theory was that Betty was Karlie Kloss whose middle name is Elizabeth (sometimes shortened to Betty) and that James was code for Taylor because she was named after James Taylor.

    • @mattrutherford5764
      @mattrutherford5764 2 роки тому +3

      @@Evelyn208 cool theory actually, i knew about kaylor but never realised that about their names.

    • @iteachlit
      @iteachlit Рік тому +2

      “Inez,” “James,” and “Betty” are the names of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s children. They and Taylor Swift are good friends; she used their children’s names in these songs and didn’t tell them until after the fact.

    • @iteachlit
      @iteachlit Рік тому +2

      (I thought the “allegedly” was because she was getting ready to reveal that “William Bowery” is Joe, which means all the “William Bowery” songs are Joe Alwyn songs.)

    The 'But there's robbers to the east, clown to the West' part, that's kinda pun according to one reviewer (which is also a swiftie) 😂 when she said the West part, she did this (🙄) because we, swifties all know that it's not just that 'west' 😂
    Like it if you get it 😉

    The Groucho song was the best part, got a big laugh from me. I wrote a song about my turtle but I was only 6 so no writting or relationship.
    Peace is one of my favorite Taylor songs, I really relate to what Aaron said and in fact while it's super obvious that Taylor wrote it about the issues with her fame, the first time I listened to this song I felt it was talking about anxiety and depression since that's what I deal with the most.
    And I have to admit that the first time I heard the bridge I ended up crying, this is a very vulnerable song to me.
    Your videos always make me think and smile, a combination that I really enjoy.

    Just as Aaron I relate to Peace thinking about mental illness. My mother has been a difficult person to live with since forever, she has her own mental illnesses and she made me go through a lot of trauma since I was like 3 y/o, only now that I’m 18 things go slightly better, but she’s still struggling and my therapy journey is still long. Being very close to me, as friends or partner, means that I could call you at the most random time of the day because I’m having a panic attack or because I just had to help her while drunk or high, it also means that while hanging out some trigger could break me down.
    As Taylor says, it feels like I could never give them peace, even though I try my best to be a good friend and to keep their brittle heart warm

    Wow it's a long time since I listened to "Hero" by FotY. The few seconds you did of it were lovely. I wouldn't mind hearing a full cover of it. I remember years ago there was a beautiful cover of it by a brother and sister. I will have to go watch that again after watching this.

    This song is so very underrated. It’s my absolute favorite song from the album.
    The way I interpret the song, is as a single mom going into a relationship with someone who doesn’t have children. You come into a relationship with baggage from an ex that you still have to be in contact with for the sake of your children, so you have this outside person who can cause conflict in your life that you cannot control and you can’t get rid of, and you’re just hoping and praying that this outsider doesn’t make the person you are with now want to leave. Because they can…they don’t have to stay in this relationship and deal with your ex, they at any point could walk away. But is what you give them enough to stick around?
    It is so beautiful and I appreciate this song so much and I loved your reaction and interpretation! Thank you!

    Just out of curiosity, do you by any chance plan on reacting to evermore? I know it doesn’t have any live performances like folklore but it would be nice to see your reaction to this album because it has many great songs.

    • @michellerivera6244
      @michellerivera6244 2 роки тому +1

      And she does a Zane Low interview explaining most of the tracks.
      It’s kind of a Swiftie joke that folklore is a better album cohesively but, evermore had better songs overall. It would be nice to have your take on them.
      (I like them for different reasons like most of her work. RED TV has always been #1 for me so far… ). I’d recommend heading there BEFORE reputation since rep is just a complete 180 from what you have been reacting to.

    Hi Andrew! A little detail I love in the lyrics of "peace": "There's robbers to the east, clowns to the west". Scooter and Kanye West, she did not forget you, mfs. hahaha
    Now you're finishing folklore, I wonder if you'd be up to watch a full concert of hers in this format (one song each video), but with a huge-pop-stadium tour. I guess it would be amazing for you to know this other side of her work and how she can write AMAZING lyrics even when it's pop music.
    I'd LOVE if, after folklore, you went to the reputation Stadium Tour (Netflix).
    as always, amazing video! have a swift day

    That was a hell of a journey, in a good way. Folklore makes feel a lot of stuff, and I always end up crying a lot when I listen to the album all at once, and I'm a very introspective person without Taylor's lyrics cutting through, but she makes it feel like therapy somehow. I can't help being a swiftie, and I really like your reactions. You really love what you do, and that's wholesome. I can't wait to see what you come up with next, Taylor related or not.

    I dont understand the "give you a child" part as her saying she will give birth to his child, i understand it as her saying "with you I myself can be like a child again. I can be vulnerable and naiv and laugh about the silliest things with you, cause you are the one person infront of which i dont feel the need to always act like a grown up who has everything under control".
    Thats what those lyricy say to me :)
