- AMT's commuter trains to and from Lucien-L'Allier (formerly CP's Windsor Street) station are seen at Vendome on the morning of Thursday 17 April 2008. Trains from Saint Jerome, Vaudreuil, Beaconsfield and Candiac are powered by GP9u, F40PHR and F59PHI locos and three different types of coaches are seen.
Came to watch this video for the nostalgia, I was commuting in Montreal at that time and loved the variety of cars and locomotives on AMT, the newer EXO trains are comfortable but they don't have nearly as much character
Oh my god that is old! WOW That is really impressive. Thanks for sharing!
Whats so sick is that theres some important rolling stock in the vid like some cars and the engine that was on the last train to rigaud and several preserved cars
I was 4 when he filmed it and i miss the old rtc-85s and f-40s
Wow actually managed to spot the cab car and the engine that were on the last train to rigaud station and the generator car and the rtc-85 passenger car that were preserved at exporail in st constant
8:53 nice horn

Hello Dave. Commuter's on tape unless I have miss calculated on u-tube fright 87% the rest commuter's and other. Nice to see the local trains. No doubt you can recall on your visits over here only 6 to 10 miles separate our commuter stops. Thanks for videos shots.
stan tout I think the distance between stations depends a lot on population density and geography!
@@david-othen can you film at this spot again?
Great catches man!!!
Captain Justice Thank you.
No prob!
David this vid brings back so many childhood memories i was a 4 years old boy on that day and i turned 17 a few months ago and i miss this era so mutch
Are those diesel locomotives specially designed for commuter services?
The GP9 was bulit for CN in 1950 then amt got it .it's been replaced or went to see CN
Wow so nice train
What is that boxcar used for on the last train ?
AlexxLTV I think that a generator box car to power all the coaches
@@microsoftwindowslover8346it is, and that one in the vid is perserved!
what time does the train go by in new glasgow /sunday time
Kyle Tourneur This train only operates in Montreal! G&W's CBNS runs a train through New Glasgow four or five days a week but I am not sure when - I think it varies as traffic demands.
Wow, look at all that stick rail.
DaSchwab21 Remember that the next station is the terminus and that there is no freight traffic so trains are light and speeds are relatively low.
7:19 until last second's
SO GRRRRRRRRR8 !!!!!!
The last blasting locomotive for montreal commuter system train
i Really miss those old loco
GE still in use and Great to hear diesel motor running but those crappy bi-mode loco in fonction since 2010 are so pratical i agree but SO UGLY to see and so silence's
Bring Back these old loco exo !!!!!

Whats the generator carriage for?
peter forden To provide electricity to heat the cars. The locomotive was built as a freight locomotive for CN
David Othen Strewth that looks big enough to light a village....!
peter forden Probably a matter of using a surplus 40 foot box car
David Othen Well waste not want not !
peter forden Exactly. It is all about the bottom line!
