I quit starfield after a few hours of playing and never really got bothered to open it up again. The loading screens were the main issue for me especially after getting into Star Citizen a few months prior which I feel like delivers on that open world Todd was talking about, but with all the freedom
You want to know something really funny? It's 2023, Starfield is a game that exists, it's been in development for so many years, it's supposed to be this masterpiece of a space game... And yet? I'd rather go play No Man's Sky. Now THERE'S a space game.
Even though your viewership has gone down, I do want you to know how great the quality of your videos are. It's unfortunate how few people get to enjoy these wonderful videos. Thanks for the content upload, I absolutely love it and still do Meraki!
It still pisses me off UA-cam hasn’t given you more traction. Idk what you’d need to do to get the recognition but as long as you keep uploading I’ll be here, ecstatic to watch. Thanks Meraki!
Honestly, after fallout 76 released, I had little to no confidence in starfield being as good as Fallout New Vegas or Skyrim So seeing the fallout of starfield did not surprise me much unfortunately
I’m right there with you. It’s sad, especially given how incredible they CAN be when they do things the right way. I’d definitely put Starfield ahead of 76, and maybe even ahead of Fallout 4, but I’m ultimately really disappointed with their progress over the years. Thanks so much for watching!
I liked Starfield for its sense of awe it gave me for space. Narrative, loading screens, Bethesda-type gameplay aside , it was a good experience. Good points.
personally, I mostly experienced space through maneuver planner in KSP. I don't feel like I'm in space, unless I need to plan and execute maneuvers to reach things and I don't feel docking, unless I'm forced to keyboard, like, 999 buttons controlling RCS.
As someone who likes the game, it feels like I'm being guilt tripped into hating it because everyone else does. Either that or I'm letting everyone else's opinion overshadow my own.
I really loved this game. It has a lot of issues, but I really think it’s a great game. I think a lot of the people thought it would be way different than it was. They expected cyberpunk meets no mans sky but that’s not what they promised. The thing is it has a lot of all the tiny details and such like the last games but it was kinda ruined for people by being outdated. I think the criticisms are right… but only half right. I think it did decent in every part in the game, but a lot of the parts need work. What I’m happy about is that it’s getting updates, it got a map, vehicles are being added this week, the dlc is in October. Great video. Also fun fact, Starfield has the most handcrafted content of any game Bethesda has ever made.
Sure, some of the issues we have with Starfield can't or won't likely be fixed, such as every single planet becoming passionately built, rich, full, and immersive environments. The thing is, though, Bethesda isn't done with Starfield yet. They're still dropping big updates on the regular, and there's a series of guaranteed DLC's on the way. The first of which is supposed to drop before the end of the year. Best of all, and what I'm most excited about personally, is the modding. There's already some good ones out there, but if you wanna know what mods can do for a Bethesda title, just look at Fallout 4. You can download mods that change that game completely. Hell, the Fallout: London mod that is about fully release is getting media attention for christ sake. One of the best things about Bethesda is that they don't stifle its community's creativity. In fact, they encourage it. So all those planets that lack rich and full environments, Bethesda may never fix them but modders will. All in all, if you wanna take on the galaxy as Deadpool or some half-naked (or fully, depending on where you get your mods) anime character while flying through space in a heavily armored hotdog... well, there will probably be a mod for that soon.
I think its funny how starfield mostly got hyped by a studio with big person who has big influence and then i think about outer wilds and how a youtube video made me play it and soon after finishing it, i too became one of the person who tries VERY hard to get other people to play it amongst hundred thousands other who did the same thing before me. I still want to play starfield but the things that i've seen really made me think about which game to buy. But that mostly because i have to really make my money's worth.
It holds my curiosity, there are aspects of it I really like. But no, this is no next generation masterpiece by any means. But it holds my attention well enough.
It is insane how the quality of your contents don't drop by one bit even after such a long hiatus. Shame that you aren't getting as much recognition as before
Thank you for this Video!!!!🙏 All the things you mentioned are the reasons i WANT to play Starfield. And i still cannot understand why EVERYONE have to compare Starfield with BG3: they are two completely different games in so many ways. There is a reason why Bethesda dont make RPGs but BGS RPGs... Thanks again for speaking right out my mind 💛
Starfield is an abomination compared to what I'd expect from the studio who made Skyrim to accomplish after 8 years, but only its own its a pretty cool game. If Skyrim was a 9.5 out of 10, Starfield might be an 8 out of 10.
Todd did another 16 times the detail with his misleading marketing hype. Starfield is an incredibly mediocre game, there's no denying that. Don't preorder Bethesda games and wait for real reviews and not those from shill youtubers lol.
I like this perspective, I'm kind of in the same boat. Maybe not loving it yet at that level but something is keeping me trucking along past the main quest line 🤔
The 1st Mass Effect.... That game reminds me of what Starfied could've been. the next leap foward. instead.... They used a jr. studio; and they had nine years to make this? Yet, Mass Effect 1 is still a better game.
Why people cannot get the games a little late and if people know that Todd ovehypes his games ,then why people make the same mistakes again and again......
I just don't buy them, at least not at release. I'm still holding out on buying cyberpunk until it goes below 50% off. And preordering a game is something for too much money and too little common sense.
The music is a mash-up between Skyrim and Fallout. The reused so many stuff that I can clearly point them out. Even that they failed for me. I just pkaynot every now and then to compensate my money spend on this piece of trash. I watched so many video to find maybe the sweetspot for me but no. Wasted money. It will be like that. And I'm still scared hoe much they maybe will fuck up TES6. In that direction they did a good job...🙄

Todd is definitely an amazing sales man, thats for sure.
An absolute wordsmith

thanks so much! the viewership dip is totally okay - happens when you slow down your content. i'll keep pushing :)
Every video I watch of yours, its amazing! Such an engaging way of making these, keep it up!
thanks so much! comments like this keep me making more :)
This is why I'm subscribed. Well done 👌
Thanks Meta!!! Glad you enjoyed

I've been saying that for years now, and still I don't get his videos recommended to me 🥲
Thanks guys 🥹 really I make the videos because they’re a blast to make, anything beyond that is a bonus
Once again such a well made video with a passionate and well thought out opinion, keep it up man!
Thanks so much for watching :)

Just because something isn’t the best game ever doesn’t mean it’s bad.

This is a great video and he’s 100% right.
The internets checkpoint in the beginning

100% - if I wasn’t intent on covering the game, I might have skipped altogether
Man I hate myself for being late to these masterpieces every now and then
Wtf
Did not expect channel with 60k subs to have such good audio quality, video editing and well written script. Very impresive, will stay for more.
Thanks so much for the kind words! It’s great to have you here.
Todd the lier!!
love your videos
thanks so much :)
great video!
Thanks so much!
Ty Todd
I love your videos.
