    Ty for showing your msfs settings. Most yt creator reviewing the tracker disable the eyetracking - you don‘t do that.
    For me it works well in msfs now.
    In xplane I’m still struggling, far too sensitive.
    Soon you‘ll have 100k subscribers- very well done. Especially the job for xp12 you’re doing - Ty so much for all that videos. Just bought another aerobask plane on sale 😀

    I have it, i used it to replace an old phone with a tracking app. Turned off eye tracking, found it confusing. Head tracking is fine but it still gets confused when your hand is touching your face. I assume trackIR would work better in that situation

    Is a replacement due and they’re trying to clear stock with the discount? Several channels I follow have reviewed this in the last 24 hours, despite it having been out for a couple of years.

      Tobii Eye Tracker 5 is an excellent replacement for TrackIR and now supports X-Plane 12. You can watch the video, and if you don't like it, just don't buy it. If you do decide to buy it, you can get a 15% discount. Its that simple =)

      What are your thoughts on Alpha Honeycomb? I’m trying to decide between the two. And pair it with the bravo throttle

    I have VR dont use it as its clunky and resolution is not there yet.
    Anyone tried both care to compare?
    I only fly liners, so need overhead and centre console views without needing to hot key.

    Please make a video for xplane 12 and the Tobii eye tracker - it is so extremely difficult to set up correctly in XP12 - for me so far absolutely useless.

      I don't have Tobi eye but I use track ir 5 it was terrible in xplane until I downloaded X camera. Give it a go it supports Tobi eye as well

    Things like that make me laugh - displaying the advantages of a headtracker device - shows how you can move in 4 or 5 directions - then proceeds to remove the yoke, as 'its in the way'!!??!😂

    I somehow feel you were not fully honest in this video with us and frankly there is unusual amount of video editing/cuts in the GA aircraft flight I assume it is because the head/eye tracking stopped working or did some crazy s*it. Also If you look to the left/right you in game look to the left/right yes but in real life you are looking outside of your monitor (if you dont use 3 monitors setup). So in video it looks cool as you look from left/right aircraft window but in reality you stare at your walls :D

    • @Q8Pilot
      @Q8Pilot  6 місяців тому +9

      I am always honest in all my videos. The editing is to cut the video time and make unnecessarily long. The device works without a glitch really. There are some gitters at times when I move away from the device field of view, but other than what you see here is what you get. Please never question my honesty. I take this very seriously.

      Of the multitude of content creators out there to choose from, to question the honesty of Q8Pilot is nothing short of laughable. I can only assume this gentleman has not been around the FS community very long.

    • @Smasher77th
      @Smasher77th 6 місяців тому +1

      I think rather than the accusation of editing/looking at the wall/needing 3 monitors, etc., the right approach should have been to ask a question, for instance, "how are you able to see the side window without looking away from the screen?" Then you would have had your question answered. Having said that, let me try to explain to you, because judging from your question, one can assume you've never used an eye tracker. Correct me if I'm wrong.
      Here is how this "mystery" is achieved:
      Your head movement is amplified or scaled, for instance, if you turn your head 5 degrees to the left, your view in the cockpit (in the sim) changes about much more than 5 degrees, say up to 25 degrees (just an example). So the ratio of your actual head movement and your virtual head in the sim is about between 1:5 and 1:10 (give or take). You are able to tweak it to your satisfaction. So, let's say you want to move your head and look directly at your 9 o'clock (in the virtual cockpit), you only have to move your head just about 18 degrees (1:5) or about 9 degrees depending on your personal preferences. So you're eyes will still be on the monitor. So you only need on monitor, not 3.
      Another previous example of this is the TrackIR 5, which has been there for more than 15 years, and is what almost everyone uses, or similar.
      Maybe watch this very old video, where the principle is explained in detail, then you might understand better. This was 17 years ago, and I watched it the day it was released and got my trackir and never looked back since 17 years. Tobii Eye Tracker is much better because not only does it have head tracking, it also has eye tracking, and you can either use both, or one. Also because it uses new technology, and is less demanding your resources, IMHO Here's the 17-year old TrackIR 4 video:

      Agreed Q8, your experience of tobii matches my own, the edits don't hide anything. You have always been very fair and honest in your reviews. I like free expression but dont think your honesty should be questioned given your track record. Thank you for more great content.

      Q8 sounds always positive. Maybe misunderstandable in a way… c‘est domage! For me this is really a plus, the positive way of thinking. Focusing the joy to fly virtually is great.

      @@ellonysman I immediately sold mine and went back to web camera face tracking. The infrared light made my eyes feel dry and itch after not too long. It was strange, only felt it when the Tobii was active and never again. Probably depends on the person, but I found several posts out there where others either had itchiness, or discomfort while using like I did.
