    This video took waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to make. I spent so much time just practicing landings to get the one shown the video. I think I spent 3-4 days straight just doing landings. It's probably the most effort I've actually had to put into learning and performing something for these tutorials. New ones will absolutely be coming out much sooner. This was a hill to climb for sure. I hope you all enjoy it, and learn something :D

      Absolutely amazing. Thank you very much for your dedication to this beast of a plane and to give us instruction how to learn flying it. I just start and looking forward to the next hours of practice 😊

    After all that practice learning to properly aerobrake the Mudhen, you're telling me I have to learn NOT to aerobrake this puppy, when I finally get around to flying it. 😂
    Seriously, awesome job with this series! I'm learning a lot 👍🏾

    I'm shure I said this before but you got talent for this mate.
    Your calm, clear and to the point. Not to little, not to much info. It's certainly helping me learn this module.
    But most of all, i understand how much time and effort you must put into making these videos! You dont do this in a day!
    So really massive thank you for that! And may the gods bless you with million karma points and good health! 🤙🏻
    Stay safe!

      Plus: those screen in screen shots showing the iffy details.
      Tip: Be carefully editing your speech or making the pauses between sentences to short. Someone also commented on this. Not a big thing but if you want some constructive tips on how to be even more awesome, then thats one 😉

      @@breaklight7223 thank you very much for the praise and the feedback. I will definitely be taking the speech one into account. It’s not something I was paying much attention to since to me it seemed to flow fine, but I can see how it can be too quick or jumpy to others.

    Great video, man. The zoom-ins to various gauges, key binds in the controls menu, and your clarity are all very helpful. 🤙🏻

      Thank you very much! All those close ups and stuff is a product of me feature creeping the crap out of the video. Time consuming, but ultimately a better product

    Thanks for the instruction. I still can’t seem to land, but I’m trying like hell. Most of my issues are not knowing how to read my airspeed indicator well, AoA, and pretty much everything else.

    Thank you mate. This is a great tutorial. Clear, precise, detailed. I loved every minute of it! I hope you will cover the F-4 entirely.
    Question: Can i set the flaps lever to the middle position during flight in order to use slats or am I supposed to use them for take off and landing only?

    • @PrezDCS
      @PrezDCS  3 місяці тому +1

      If you leave it in the middle position then the flaps will be retracted automatically in flight while the gear is up, but your slats will be deployed. You'll be more draggy, but have slightly more lift. It might help with aerial refueling. The first time I ever did AAR, I left it in the middle position by accident and it was the easiest tanking experience I've ever had in a jet.

    • @stefanonapoli7282
      @stefanonapoli7282 3 місяці тому +1

      Thank you! I was thinking that maybe slats out could help for some dogfights. @@PrezDCS

    • @PrezDCS
      @PrezDCS  3 місяці тому

      @@stefanonapoli7282 They automatically deploy at certain AoA which will happen often during a dogfight. You don't always want them out tho because the drag can keep you from accelerating if you bled too much energy. A little trick of the trade is to have the emergency slats switch bound (different from he emergency flaps) to manually force the slats in to maintain energy in a hard turn at the cost of a slower turn :)

    This is a great tutorial- I'd love to see if you could do one on ILS landings?
    (Minor point- and this might just be my brain, but when your speech is edited to remove the natural pauses between sentences I find it hard to sort and absorb what you're saying. I had to pause and go back several times. If you can, leave those natural pauses in next time.)

    • @PrezDCS
      @PrezDCS  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes, I plan on making an ILS tutorial in the near future. I just thought it would over bloat this video since the standard visual landing is already 2/3rds of this one. Also, I will take that critique into account, I'm typically just cutting out my breathing and outtakes and fuse everything together, so I understand how that can come across as difficult to follow. I'll work on that in the next video. Thank you!
