Play this at my funeral. Nothing in my life has had such a deep impact on me. I have known such peace and courage in this world, I'll be forever grateful.
Cryer24597 To be fair, The Hobbit book isn't as good as the LOTR books either, so the rabid haters should take that into consideration. I like the LOTR movies better than the Hobbit movies, but that doesn't mean I hate the Hobbit ones. The Hobbit is a children's book, The LOTR books are not. People need to stop comparing the two quite so harshly.
Will James "just because it's a different style to the book" You're extremely ignorant if you truly think that is the only reason people dislike The Hobbit. Like Cryer said, The Lord of the Rings films are completely superior to The Hobbit in pretty much every way. They tried to make DOS and BOTFA like LOTR, but at the same time those films lacked nearly everything (or everything) that made the LOTR films so great. The Hobbit films look and feel nothing like the LOTR films, yet they keep putting them together, like in the video above. They should've put more thought into keeping the aesthetic and atmosphere of Middle-Earth the way it was.
Nathan H. I completely disagree with everything your saying, the hobbit films feel exactly like LOTR, they're filmed in the same locations, same style of music, same epic characters, massive battles, emotional moments, honour, loyalty and a massive dragon. He also captured the essence of the books as well. Of course its not LOTR, get over it
Will James I disagree, they tried to mix toilet humour comedy and at the same time tried to do something similar to LOTR, it didn't work to have such a two-faced tone. They captured the essence of the book? What? Who is this goof? I'm not even going to talk to you about this anymore, that sentence alone showcased your ignorance. The sole single fact you noted the Hobbit books as being plural when there is only one says enough.
I remember me and my buddy had a middle earth marathon (over the course of a few days haha) and At the end to Return of the king when frodo and bilbo leave for the grey havens, the scene felt much more emotional after also having seen Bilbos journey. This video captures that same feeling. I love both trilogies!
Plus the Balin's Tomb scene in The Fellowship of the Ring. If you only watched The Lord of the Rings, then Balin will just be another dead dwarf who happened to be Gimli's cousin. You wouldn't even know that he was one of Bilbo's companions because they barely even reference the circumstances of Bilbo's previous adventure. But if you watched The Hobbit, then you'll know who he was, and seeing his tomb (plus Ori's skeleton clutching the book) will actually mean something.
All the feels! Love that the penultimate shot is Frodo kissing Sam, probably my favourite moment from this exceptional film series, there's just so much tenderness, love and fellowship in that small gesture. Beautiful work.
Ok you guys have to stop it.Both trilogies are great for what they are.The Lord of the Rings is something epic, something truly masterful. My personal all time favourite films. The Hobbit of course is not as good as LOTR but it is great on its own.The Lord of the Rings is perfect as an epic fantasy story and The Hobbit is great (yeah sorry not perfect) as a fantasy adventure story.Stop compare these two films.
Paul Kapsalis they are the same because frodo is bilbo's nephew so yeah we can compere them the hobbit was great or maybe your not a big middle-earth fan so of course you know GET YOUR BUTT OUT A HERE.
Great tribute!, I just watched all 6 films between friday and yesterday, words can't express how amazingly powerful these movies are, specially the LOTR trilogy.
Omg thank you Thank you for bringing us this final tribute to possibly the best cinematic stories ever made It actually just hit me as I realized that the battle of five armies would be the final middle earth movie made and I started to get tears in my eyes
i love the lyrics at the end. for me it is the same. i am so blessed to read all the books and see all the films. it was an amazing experience and i will charish it forever.
J.R.R. TOLKIEN will remain in our hearts till the last. But I wish he was literary immortal to give more of Middle Earth. And last....huge thanks to Peter Jackson as well to shape the legacies before us..
I love this video, I myself am a huge Harry Potter fan, but I adore all fantasy, and I think I'm beginning to develop a similar passion for these films, they seem so awesome! I've heard you can learn the language Elfish, I think I might give it a go....
i think that if a remake of the eragon & avatar the last airbender movies with any possible sequels ever occurs that peter jackson would be the best fit for them as a director. after all he did a great job on lord of the rings & the hobbit movies. maybe he could turn a book called dragon rider by cornelia funke or the joust series by mercedes lackey into movie form. would be interesting to see.
I want to thank j.r.r. tolkien for creating the best thing ever to exist and all of you for experiencing this masterpiece with me...the journey doesn't end here 🙏👑😘
This is quite good as usual, but lack of Eowyn is kinna odd, since she really plays an important part in RotK, Faramir in the books as well but can see why not in the films
Every Christmas Time my dad and I watch The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
What a lovely tradition!
I love the series but our tradition is die hard. Cause you know. Best Christmas movie ever
I wish I had someone to watch them with. Being alone is hard but when I turn these movie on, I fall in love
thanks mr Jackson for enthralling me through 6 amazing films, i will treasure the memories and keep my extended editions forever, xxxxx
strangely, I misplaced my dvd's. at least there's youtube
Play this at my funeral. Nothing in my life has had such a deep impact on me. I have known such peace and courage in this world, I'll be forever grateful.
I miss the Lord of The Rings this series was the best and still is till this day.

@@zawww009 Very true!
Great video and a great tribute to 6 amazing films, I wish people would stop hating The Hobbit just because its a different style to the book.

I'm gonna go cry for hours now... Bye
"I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil." - Gandalf
The Lord of The Rings movies and the Hobbits movies are both amazing. Also I love The Last Goodbye music song too.
I am sure that the ending of Lord of the Rings gets sadder every time I watch it
Cool thanks you Billy boyd
Lotr really is one of the few things that would still make me feel the sense of adventure and nostalgia after so many years
I remember me and my buddy had a middle earth marathon (over the course of a few days haha) and At the end to Return of the king when frodo and bilbo leave for the grey havens, the scene felt much more emotional after also having seen Bilbos journey.

but then there will be unity in the comments section and I can't have that.
I’m not going to lie I thought the hobbit was as good as lord of the rings
Then again I saw the hobbit before I watched the lotr movies so
Paul Kapsalis they are the same because frodo is bilbo's nephew so yeah we can compere them the hobbit was great or maybe your not a big middle-earth fan so of course you know GET YOUR BUTT OUT A HERE.

Someone needs to do this but just focusing on the cast & crew
Nice video
It was a good run boys, a good run...
Super
What am I going to watch now that's action and adventure😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I wish Tolkein could have seen what his books became.
I want to thank j.r.r. tolkien for creating the best thing ever to exist and all of you for experiencing this masterpiece with me...the journey doesn't end here 🙏👑😘
This is great! What program do you use to get video clips into your videos?
😍❤
Wasnt this used in the music video?
A lot of the shots are the same, but others were replaced, mostly the behind-the-scenes footage and the shots of Billy Boyd singing.
This is quite good as usual, but lack of Eowyn is kinna odd, since she really plays an important part in RotK, Faramir in the books as well but can see why not in the films
Are we ready for the next journey?
I think Peter Jackson should do a movie of how he made the lotr and the hobbit or make the simmilarion into a movie
sadly.
No all books :)
lotr had a better ending then the book version in my opinion
Quem tá vendendo em 2020 da like
This is great! I recently did my own tribute to the films as well!. Check it out if you're interested! This was great to watch!. Amazing films.
I don't know which is more heart tugging, this or "Into the West" from the end of Return of the King.❤️🥹
