Concerning Hobbits makes me feel something I rarely feel. A feeling that I am home, but without any stress and it makes me feel relieved. This track shows me what I want in life. About four weeks ago, I took my 15-year-old cat, Charlie (named after Dominic Monaghan's character from LOST,) to be euthanized because he was suffering from severe renal failure, poor old boy. I played The Shire theme ("Concerning Hobbits" from the "Fellowship" soundtrack) on our way to the vet, to give him a pleasant journey together as we sent him Into The West. He was normally extremely unhappy with car rides for his whole life, but he seemed ready to go this time, not unlike Mr. Bilbo. I started playing this video just now, curious to hear what this score would sound like given the Lo-Fi treatment, and when "Concerning Hobbits" began, I really wasn't prepared to hear that song again already. Oh this was one of my favorite quotes when I was reading the books, and not from reading it online but I liked it when I first read it, it’s so good ❤ Here’s the full quote “War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend: the city of the Men of Númenor; and I would have her loved for her memory, her ancientry, her beauty, and her present wisdom. Not feared, save as men may fear the dignity of a man, old and wise.” - Faramir, The Two Towers
I lost my sister a year ago. She was an avid LotR fan and she would listen to the sound track every night to fall asleep when I was growing up. This reminds me of her and is bittersweet. Her loss is so painful, but this makes me feel like she's here with me.
Where has this been all my life? I'm a huge LOTR fan and also enjoy playing Minecraft and it's music. So this just hits the spot for sitting back and relaxing.
I never thought of having the lotr songs as lofi beats but I'm glad this popped up in my recommended! It's so nostalgic hearing these songs again with these fresh beats.

That'd be amazing
I remember playing a hobbit game on the gameboy advance that was kinda like that, was really fun
Or LotR soundtrack remix via Monkey Island...
I really like this. Made some Lo-Fi myself...🪐
thank you dude!
Honestly, this has kept me calm and relaxed in some of my darkest times I've ever faced in my 32 years on this planet. The riders of Rohan was blown me away at how amazing it is. Thankyou for making this. You have helped me calm my nerves and anxiety in my darkest times of uncertainty.
there's something so sad yet so uplifting about the LOTR soundtrack. truly a masterpiece
May these beats be a light for you in dark places, when all other lights go out.
One does not simply stop listening to these beats.
“I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.”
And oh boy... how I love TLOTR
This makes me teary eyed.
Oh this was one of my favorite quotes when I was reading the books, and not from reading it online but I liked it when I first read it, it’s so good ❤
Here’s the full quote
“War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend: the city of the Men of Númenor; and I would have her loved for her memory, her ancientry, her beauty, and her present wisdom. Not feared, save as men may fear the dignity of a man, old and wise.”
- Faramir, The Two Towers
Faramir and Eowyn would make some great princes and princesses... That's a sequel I'd love to see.@duncanheard4724
Faramir ❤
@@Oaktreealley Same. As LOTR as a whole does... always.
This will be your path to go through the hard days, you will probably find me in the middle of those journeys
I lost my sister a year ago. She was an avid LotR fan and she would listen to the sound track every night to fall asleep when I was growing up. This reminds me of her and is bittersweet. Her loss is so painful, but this makes me feel like she's here with me.
❤️
just checked out the wow theme and now this... the mixing and mastering plus the loft videos. I love it this is art
thank you friend!
I did not realize how much I needed this. Nearly sobbing at this.
💜🐰💜
I have a big dog you can hug if you want.
@@captainmaim If I ever have the chance, I shall take you up on that offer :)
The stumbling piano in the main theme is 🤌 perfection.
Listening to Lofi feels like floating on a cloud, weightless and free, with nothing to hold me back or tie me down.
LOTR has been a huge staple in my life. I can still remember watching the two towers, sitting in front of my tv as a kid, loving life.
Sam getting obliterated
Where has this been all my life?
I'm a huge LOTR fan and also enjoy playing Minecraft and it's music. So this just hits the spot for sitting back and relaxing.
Extremely well done pixel art (not to mention the music); Enjoying it very much, thanks
I never thought of having the lotr songs as lofi beats but I'm glad this popped up in my recommended! It's so nostalgic hearing these songs again with these fresh beats.
How can this be both happy and sad at the same time. What a beautiful piece of music.
I didn't know that I was still capable of crying about music and art. Thank you for making me feel that.
I'm enjoying this, on a cold grey Saturday-as I sit here working on my thesis. 🤩Thanks for creating this and sharing it.😌🙏
thanks for being here and good luck with your thesis!!! 😊
Thank you. This is beautiful and calming, and I didn't even realize how much I needed this right now.
Take it easy. Don't let the little things get you down! Feel better!
ikr
Absolutely loving the sounds, and the classic pixel art takes me back to the days of playing the old Sierra games like Kings Quest and Police Quest!
Why can I not just sit here and enjoy the music. Why does this remind me that the movies are more than 20 years old even though it feels like we went to the theater to see them yesterday. It hurts!
Your channel's about to pop off, keep up the amazing work!
This moved me to tears for some reason. Thank you for this!
This is beyond magical.
This is one of the few instances of perfection in the universe
I'm trying to finish a handful of assignments that are due tonight, and I have been really struggling with motivation, fatigue, depression, and procrastination lately. I have ADHD and easily get distracted when doing tasks--especially when those tasks aren't particularly interesting to me. I thought to play this in the background while I work on my assignments, and right from the first song, I was filled with so much energy and gratitude. Thank you so much for this. I feel much better about finishing my assignments now. I'll be sure to return to this video often
thank you boss! happy to help!
Love the art on this, really captures the vibes
Man...this is freakin' perfection! I am so glad I stumbled upon this; this has to be the best lo-fi mix I've ever heard. Instant subscribe!
That is freaking amazing, thank you for this, and the animation is so adorable. It makes me want to live in the peaceful Shire even more, and just sit outside and breath in the fresh air...
that's the dream!!!
I’m so grateful for the kindness here. Thank you, everyone!
This triggers much emotion, it makes me want to cry even though I'm not much of a crier.
It is like I am talking to Gandalf when I feel very sad. I didn't expect this. Thank you for this amazing music.
thank you for listening! ❤️
I didn`t knew how good Lord of the rings in Lofi could be
Why is this actually SO GOOD? 😭
it makes me so happy that there is someone out there who made this and so many people like it. isn't that what humanity is all about?
makes us happy and proud too! 🥹
Thanks! This whole mix is the softest warm sweater to wrap around my soul that I didn’t realize I needed. Happy tears. Thank you for this!
Wow, thank you! ❤️ means a lot!!
