- "the Supreme Court has issued a stern warning to the official of the home ministry of India. The Supreme Court took objection to words used in Centre's reply to gangster Abu Salem's plea. In a stern warning the Apex court told the Home Secreatary to not lecture the judiciary and not to tell it what to do.
We do not take it kindly when you tell us to decide something which you have to decide, Justice SK Kaul slammed the govt while hearing the matter. What is the issue and why was the Judge angry at the govt, let us discuss in today's video.

Because contempt of court charges are reserved for human rights lawyers and stand-up comics who have not the money or muscle power to evade judicial action.

I am not impressed. Courts have been postponing the judgments and ignoring important constitutional issues like CAA and electoral bonds at the government's wishes. Too little and too late.
I honestly feel they are picking and choosing. In addition to the ones you mentioned. Even Pegasus is on hold. The report never came.
What about the continuous posponment of 65 lakhs sr. Citizens pension under EPS95, for the last 7 years.? What respect can the SC comand from helpless people who are continuously knocking at its door for justice. The judges need to be not only lectured , but also directed by the people of the country , that they have become political and inclined to the well being of criminals ,at the cost of the civilization and the victims .
They have also become visibly arbitrary in choice of urgency for some , like the muslims and the opposition political interests ,and run away ,absent and recuse , or postpone or relegate to lower courts , when issues of life and death, rape and torture,lynching or setting houses on fire , demolition of temples etc that happen to hindus .

Why sc is not passing orders on contempt and punish the non compliant.
Of course, what the court says is final. But in this case the MHA saying it'll comply at the appropriate time is right, isnt it? Even if you go by Abu Salem's plea that his sentence should be considered as starting from 2002, the 25 year assurance needs to be debated only a few months before 2027 or at best a year prior to that. I think thats what the MEA submitted. Why is the court so charged over delivering "assurances" to a convict who was part of a heinous crime against India and her ppl, years ahead of a possible debate on the topic? If India has assured Portugal that their citizen will not face prison term over and above 25 years, it will be adhered to in the interest of our ties and relationship. I never get why Judges get so egoistic about any respectfully laid out statements(which may require further deliberation) by the MHA, considering that this is not some victim who has been languishing in Indian jails without even an FIR.

It is better for the judiciary to get its priorities right and clean-up its own backyard with the massive backlog of millions of outstanding cases instead of acting all outraged with the wording of a letter by the Centre bruising its enormous ego. For their information the people of the country are not stupid with their ad hoc selective meddling on deciding matters to be heard by them and those not to be heard. To this day their abdication to deal with the genocide and ethnic cleansing of more than half million Kashmiri Hindus puts a huge question mark on their undertaking to serve the Constitution and the people of the country. The truth is that our legal eagles have a pathetic track-record with its inability to dispense justice in the millions of pending cases unlikely to be resolved during the lifetimes of the people involved. How can any sane person place confidence in a system that is so totally incapable of dispensing justice to the people of the nation. If a performance audit is to be done on our lordships the outcome is that they have miserably failed. Is this so-called pillar of democracy not accountable to anybody. Can our lordships give the public a crisp and clear answer of what plan of action they have to clear the millions of outstanding cases. 1. Parliament's role would be over after the enactment of Law with majority approval of the members.
2. Home Minister's role is to safe guard the Law & Order in the country. Amit Shah is too much impertinent & exceeding his limit. His ministry has no right to dictate any other Authority especially High Court & Supreme Court.
3. Supreme Court has over all power. SC is not using its power (அடக்கி வாசித்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்)! If SC used its power, none of the BJP'ians wouldn't wag their tails in front of Judicial Authorities.

We see that SC is raising its head against official machinery ocassionally. Eventhough it may give some hope for the onlookers it gives great disatisfaction over SC since it is not clear in its action regarding Pegasus, CAA, Electoral Bond & the Art:370 suspension. People expect solid & timely action by SC on UG as it did in the " free vaccine" drama played by the govt. Leading legal stalwarts & Social Activists recently complained to SC regarding inflamatory & hateful speeches made by the hindu fanatics . But no tangible reaction seen from the courts.
