The bike has also completed its full transition to the Rally Raid Level 2 front and rear suspension, and there is a separate video of this on the channel.

The thoughts and actions outlined in the video are personal to me and everyone will need to view things from their own perspective.
This is incredibly helpful, much obliged. The tool canisters are a great idea that I wouldn't have thought of. The first batch of NX500's are just now arriving here in N.A. - The plan is to pick one up in Chicago & then immediately ride over to Wales for some roast lamb & Bara brith.
Thanks for watching and commenting, it’s always good to hear everyone’s views.. these are a very good bike and this one has now got full Rally Raid Level2 front and back suspension and I’ve a further video coming out over the weekend… also ASV Shorty brake/Cutch leavers and Barkbuster Handguards coming soon. Have a great ride out and trip 👍🏻
Really like the look of these will have to get to my local Honda dealer to try it for size
Worth a test ride, although mine now has full Rally Raid suspension the standard isn’t that bad for normal use.. great evolvement of the 500X
wanted to love this bike and purchase it, it s 8k euros in greece and with the protections/accessories it needs to be taken off road, price will near 9k... Really cant justify that for a 500cc bike
Not so sure about Greece, but here in UK older versions bc an be found for £3-4K and they’re usually in good condition and basically the same bike under their clothes.. hope you find something that works 👍🏻
Very helpfull video as usual! In your opinion, is the stardard plastic cover for the catalytic converter compatible with the RR sump guard?
Yes you could leave it on and have sump guard fitted, but the aluminium guard does come as part of the sump guard kit, as does a longer side stand 👍🏻
Hi! Enjoyed video thank you. What diameter are your tool tubes? I got a 10cm one and it doesn’t really fit with my RR soft luggage rack.
Thanks 🙏 mine are 8cm, the larger one won’t fit! I double checked by popping into garage and measuring 👍🏻
What top box do you recommend for the nx500. I’m new to biking and swamp with so many options. A lot of top boxes state they would fit thecb500x . If these fit the CB500x will they fit the NX with it being the same bike.
To be honest I don’t use top boxes anymore but if they fit the 500x they will definitely fit the NX! Have you thought about soft luggage, dry bags being good and much lighter and less expensive….I’m a convert to soft luggage 😊
Hi great video, just looking at the nx but the bike supplier has a CB500x in stock for £700 cheaper apart from the TFT screen and fairing I cant c any difference + I could spend the savings on all the kit for touring would I b disappointed on buying CB rather than the nx kind regards Steve
@@stephenbudd-kt8pt well, difficult decision and absolutely nothing wrong with the 500x! The new NX is very familiar as it does feel largely the same as the 500x but the differences are mostly suttle and have nicely evolved the bike. The NX has improved fairing, in terms of body wind protection, switchable traction control, engine management tweaking which smooths it out at low speeds, less lumpy, and slightly better low end torque, although I think only slightly, it’s got daytime running lights/indicators at front and as you mention the TFT screen, which also provides ability to use phone (I don’t) and have music playing and controlled through multi function switch (which I have and quite liked) It’s also got weather/forecast and directional sat nav, both displayed and audible via Bluetooth headset. Have to say I prefer my Garmin sat nav which I’ve fitted but good back up if needed! As you can probably tell I think it’s worth it but can’t really go wrong either way but don’t buy the Honda gear and save half of the extra cost 😉 👍🏻
Many thanks for your reply very informative, will keep watching your videos ride safe
@@stephenbudd-kt8pt cheers 👍🏻
Hi there did you take the bash guard off the 500 x
Yes, this is the one…powder coated and like new
I think you might just like to powder coat black all those stainless steel deflectors
They do look odd this way 😅
Thanks for sharing 🍻🍻
Very industrial chic I think 😂 but coincidentally I was chatting to my powder coater about the front footpeg brackets.. now they really do stand out!!
Sheez coming along lovely, love it 👌👌
Me too 😀
