You can stop leeches from getting on you, at least in the VR version, they made it so if your arms are visible you can't get leeches on you. So just whenever your wading through a river just hold your arms out in front of you.

@@brickdinero5468 Showing my age I guess. It's a classic saying from Siskel & Ebert. "Two thumbs up" was a coined phrase meaning praise and approval. The like button however was clicked only once lol.

So why in real life leeches mostly only get on you in the water but in game its just walking around in land and in water?

In real life maggots are used in hospitals to clean infection and they dint go insane and those stay on for weeks not minutes or hours.....

Leaches randomly get on you and have a higher chance of getting on you during rain doesn’t matter if you’re near water or not lol

Or u can use a bone needle you can get it by harvesting a bone after use a bandage of ash or regular

im having alot of issues healing my characters infected let. i AM playing on the vr mode but i just cant place a maggot on it i hover my controller over it and press trigger and even tried just letting go and nothing i cant combine it with a standard bandager either in the crafting table ive died repeatedly now and respawned at my last check point i can not figure it out

are you sure you are using maggots collected from a dead animal? You might be using grubs from a tree trunk by mistake

@@frinkfronk9198 yea i was i was using a grub i feel kinda dum but i ended up getting on an even tighter death loop waiting for A some meat to rot or B wandering looking for a dead animal
