    DIY Porsche Macan Front Brake Pad and Rotors. Upgrading to Carbon Ceramic Pads for less brake dust and better stopping performance and Slotted Drilled Rotors. In this video we go over our personal DIY process, parts, tools needed and life hacks to make the brake job easier on a NON-PASM Porsche Macan S.
    Process should be fairly similar to any Diesel, S, GTS and Turbo Models with NON Ceramic Brake System (PCCB).

    IMPORTANT NOTE -- If you have PASM with air suspension, you MUST disable the system before lifting the tires off the ground -
    There is the potential of SERIOUS damage when lowering the car back to the ground.
    Switching off level control
    Prerequisite: The leveling system can only be switched off when the vehicle is stationary.
    Switch on ignition.
    Press and hold graphic button for height adjustment for approx. 10 seconds.
    The message “Level adjust. switched off” appears on the multi-function display of the instrument panel.
    The vehicle can now be raised.
    IF YOUR VEHICLE HAS STEEL SPRINGS YOU ARE GOOD TO GO ( NO ACTION NEEDED)

    thanks for sharing. Looks fairly simple. I would have used brake cleaner on the housing to make sure the calipers move as designed.

    You should not be handling the rotors and pads with anti-seize on your hands. Also the caliper bolts are stretch bolts and should be replaced ever time

    I see you have the jack stand on the lifting point, so where did you actually jack the car up from? Thanks in advance been watching your videos and now I'm gonna attempt it myself!

      I usually try and try and use the axles or end fixed points of the control arms since the jacking points on the Macan are so small I rather have a larger solid metal surface to raise it from

    Thanks man for the awesome video, just had a quick question: with the ceramic pads you put on, how have it performed so far ? does it brake ok ? because im also searching for a ceramic pads for dust reduction.

      So far the been awesome. Break dust has been reduced to about 95%, huge improvement over oem and certainly breaking power is noticeably better.

      I’m not sure on the 2.0 but the concept and basics should work about the same as it’s pretty standard method on changing most brakes on most cars
