- Inspired by the New York and London versions, I took my camera to 'The Meadows' in Edinburgh, on a mission to find out what the people of Scotland's capital city were listening to on friday the 3rd of june 2011
This trend only came across my feed by pure chance and yet here Scotland has better taste than every other city I've watched so far :) I'm considering doing an update to this in the summer with a pal should restrictions make it possible, this was a nice wee blast from the past though!

Yes nice to see the Meadows before it was plagued by fights and that eyesore at Quartermile
i would say that besides Appleton Tower and Quartermile the footage was near identical. I recently graduated, and while i miss the city immensely I’m grateful to have spent my time in one of the best cities in Europe.
currently in the process of applying to uni, and choosing between edin, durham, bristol (and maybe ucl, still waiting on their descision) for Comp Sci. Edinburgh is tempting.

@GLOmorous22 yeah, i think it was Singapore or some other Asian city which had all mainstream songs from America it was quite funny/sad.
The Vinski song has a recurring motif from an old Howard Jones song.

@mcbaiter1 I disagree. Its as simple as that.. I think you have had a bad experience of Glasgow. Fortunately, I have met some fantastic people and I truly love this city, so much so I plan to stay on for another year. I'm not saying that it is free of problems, but what major city isn't? I have lived in many places and Glasgow has an interesting charm, though I do plan to move back to Vienna one day

@mcbaiter1 Assumption is the mother of all f**k ups! A) I'm not from Glasgow B) I have travelled the world and I'm highly educated.. I've been to both cities, Edinburgh is undeniably beautiful but is overrun by tourists and has a plastic feel, Glasgow is a lively cosmopolition city with incredible architecture, I have met some wonderful people here, like any city it has rough parts that are tucked away from public eye. Open your eyes, everything is not black & white!

@20cFilmWannabe I'm not against American music or artists, but hey, they should really spread their taste to more than just r'n'b and hip hop. Most of my favorite musicians, especially jazz players, are of course from America, I'm just saying, don't be chart puppets and listen only to what MTV recommends, have I found someone that agrees with me? =)
