Cui in an office suit was amazing. I like this. Even if this isn't the winner. 'That Time I Quit Working for the Empire and Became a Salaryman.' Oh God. Cui as that one friend of Launch's that keeps egging her on. I love it.
I hope this continues because I want to hear about Cui running from Imperfect Cell. I just imagine Cui trying to cut a deal and using other people as shields to avoid getting well drunk.
@Andrew Singleton yeah but that was explained as a drug that made people anamorphic They were still humans but looked like random animals, so to humans qui is basically either, an animorph of a animal they just havent seen yet or a unusual result of a anamorph So you know hes just passingly interesting to humans and nothing else
@Molasses Man unless it's in the pages of the daisenshu (however it's spelled), I don't think Toriyama ever bothered to rationalize the walking animals with a cosmetic drug ala Batman Beyond
This is one of those what-ifs that feel so quintessentially Dragon Ball I can easily see it be part of the actual show. Much like Launch, the Pilaf Gang, Mercenary Tao etc. Cui just hanging out on earth doing his own thing and having cameos (if Toriyama would even remember) while the main events go on is perfect.
@@FloridaGuy53.....this feels like one of the most obvious what ifs I've ever heard and yet not a single millisecond of my life had I ever thought of the possibility. I hope Masako sees this!
Seeing businessman Cui is funny and wholesome. Shows that even a bad guy can turn good and cast that old life aside. Then again it seems like a ton of Freezy pops soldiers only followed him due to fear
In turning good, Cui unwittingly volunteered himself for a fate far worse than Vegeta's brutality and the harshest punishments King Yemma would inflict. *Customer service*
Well if he gets sick of it he could try construction work. He is as strong as Vageta was when the sayins first invaded. Can lift mountains and fly, company save money on a crane.
I like this one and I think it wraps up nicely. I like the idea of Cui showing up from time to time in the series and each time he is progressively more successful until he’s as rich as Bulma in Super. That would be hilarious
@@heliumpai7627 Yeah me too. I like idea of the slightly more silly types being a normal thing instead of strictly being April fools. The idea of Cui being any more significant than a brief lavender stain in Namek's atmosphere is one of the best ideas I never knew needed to be explored.
I think the most charming thing about this is that I could legitimately imagine it as being part of dragon ball. A recurring comic relief character who started out as a minor villain would’ve been really fun. I guess that’s what they’ve done to Pilaf recently, and recent pilaf is one of my favorite characters, so makes sense why I like this.
Lol, what would be even funnier is if Cui was recognized by trunks who thanks him for supplying food to the resistance In the goku black arc and android saga in the future
I want to see more of this, because this gives us a "civilian's view" of the whole Android thing, and maybe with Cell and Majin Buu. Realistically, I would like Cui to join the Dragon Team, but specifically on a support role when it comes to food. Obviously with everyone training their butts off, they will develop a hell of an appetite, so having Cui in speed dial to supply them with food, in exchange, he doesn't have to fight since he'd technically be a valuable asset is a huge advantage. AND this in the future helps Cui make more money, because see it like this, while technically, the Dragon Team would more or less be getting free food, it's great publicity for Cui's job, because the whole world is going to see that the saviors of their world are eating Lucky Food's product. Cui still walks away with a win in this situation. AND to further add into this, when Beerus arrives, Bulma has Cui on speed dial, combined with her own cooking, Lucky Foods and Capsule Corp could really get do good business together and not only satiate Beerus' food cravings, but basically it makes Cui the richest if not second richest entrepreneur on the planet, because he LITERALLY was just doing his job.
If this story was actually canon can imagine there being a mini arc of Lucky Foods trying to buy up or do a merger with Capsule Corp. This would result in the most harrowing battle that Bulma and the Dragon team have ever faced… A *legal* battle.
Please add another episode of this where Qui is in the buu saga and he befriends fat buu shortly before or shortly after Hercule does. Hercule and Qui cooking and or delivering food for buu would be hilarious 😂 Then later in super Qui is Bulma’s caterer for her birthday party when Berus shows up and Qui somehow making a deal with whis and Berus being an intergalactic caterer for him to deliver food to whis for Berus 😂😂😂
I like this "f this, I'm out" attitude of Cui. If this is the what if that continues, I hope it's Cui's lucky food van that gets hijacked by the androids, and he get kidnapped by them, lol.
Salaryman Cui is definitely an interesting what-if, Masako! I found myself clicking on the video the instant I had seen it. If this one gets an extension, I can not wait to see Cui show up to supply Bulma's birthday with food, be the Z Team's go-to for stocking foods at the Budokais, or getting Whis and Beerus new Earth cuisine
As far as I'm concerned? This is canon. Not only because it's fun, but because it genuinely doesn't change anything substantively with the main plot of dragonball z itself, so I just imagine this running in the background xD

Btw thank you for the hours of entertaining videos to listen to while I work! your what if's have always been creative and fun~
I would say it should have continued, but this decision makes sense, although that doesn't mean he can't continue to interact with the Dragon Team. He could be the one who delivers food and supplies to the Dragon Team, and given the way the Androids went about, Cui is bound to run into the Androids and maybe even Imperfect Cell...
You know what? I liked this. It was nice to see someone from the Frieza force switch sides and live long enough to enjoy it. I said it before and I will happily say it again, you are a great storyteller and I genuinely look forward to the scenarios you and your friends come up with. Will be interesting to see what comes next.
Man, Frieza is going to be so confused when he's revived and learns that the Frieza Force is gone, not through conquest and annihilation, but via an acquisition and merger by the Happy Foods Galactic Trading Conglomerate.

We could even add on Nappa and Raditz if we wanted. They would all be left to their own devices. Some would retire like Cui, and some would have too much pride to not participate in the Sagas.
This was amazing. I do think more can be done sort of like revelation F small parts of cui building a life while characters like jaco and buu cause him trouble.

Hell, or even have scenarios where he's trying to close deals but the Dragon Team's galactic fights almost ruin it so he has to jump back and forth to not let either setting clash.
That was very much fun. I hope Cui's power level does not attract Cell. I wonder what will be the other what ifs to compete with this one. As enjoyable as this one is, I am not sure what Cui can bring to the story but since he hasn't done so until now (despite having his own fun side story) so perhaps there's room for him to do more significant stuff.

Salary man Cui makes so much sense and I never knew I needed it so much. I can imagine him somehow getting involved with the red ribbon army by some misfortunate stroke of luck
(Cui as an office worker?)
You're right, the negotiations were short
I love the potential idea of launch and cui being Bonnie and Clyde
