Ah I've always wanted to go to an estate sale, but I don't know where to look for them/haven't found a local place listing them. Awesome that you at least got something! That Pizza Hut magnet was a great throwback & that sun room looked like such a great spot to hangout ☀
I always try to put together a story about who owned the home at an estate sale. Its always bittersweet for me, seeing strangers perusing through things. The home you went to was beautiful and I absolutely loved the wallpaper in the bathroom. Very shabby chic, Rachel Ashwell vibes.
Unless you're a reseller of vintage or antique items, it's not worth waiting in line for the first day of an estate sale. The home is usually mobbed with dealers, and the sellers are less apt to negotiate their prices at the opening of the sale. They will definitely give you a deal toward the end of the sale. I used to sell antiques years ago and found this to be pretty standard. Enjoy!
I go to estate sales all the time. Day one isn't always the best. They don't usually give deals. The last day can be fun because they sometimes have fill-a-bag
This was a fun video! I love Estate Sales, I find some of my best stuff at them. I'll go back to a sale on the last day if there was a lot of stuff I liked and get things I left behind at half price. Like I got an antique wooden spinning wheel for $12! Sleeping beauty vibes for my Cottagecore decor lol

Totally, you can't help but let your mind wander!

I've never been to an estate sale, so I enjoyed following along with you. I wouldn't wait 4 hours to get into one though.
Glad you enjoyed!!
